Always nice. Competent. Stand by their work.

Dr Kilgore and her staff from the front to the end are wonderful people. They insure your comfort from beginning to end in dental procedures. However, and unfortunately, I went to get dentures. From the time they were first put in my mouth the bottoms did not fit and were loose fitting. The dentures were huge in size compared to previous ones I owned. I stated this the very first day. I made several visits and put forth a lot of effort in trying to adjust to them to no avail. The truth of the matter is they should have been redone. This, however was never offered. I have never been so unhappy in my life. Life as I knew it is over and now I have to try to save enough money to go get someone to replace them. Love the office and the staff but totally disappointed in what I received. Would recommend for anything EXCEPT dentures. Again….a life changing disappointment. Had a major issue and she did a excellent evaluation and price I had insurance by she was out of our network BUT she called the insurance provider and worked it out going above and beyond and the work is super excellent and to me a life changer. I wish I had of known about her 20 years ago instead of the other New Bern dentists who raise their prices like we all just hit the lottery and can afford them. Don't get me wrong every dentist is expensive but it the price we pay for taking our teeth for granted. If you want a good job and want to feel special while you're there. Go to Dr. Kilgore she is tops and I tried almost all the dentists in New Bern over the years. Feels good to smile again and what still have enough money for food and gas. Lol God Bless. I have never been to a dental office with a staff as kind and professional as Dr Kilgore's office. Top notch!

I took my daughter to see Dr.Kilgore after a traumatic experience with the local pediatric dentist a year and a half ago, and I can not tell you enough how AMAZING Dr.Kilgore and her staff are! They are Angel's! After four visit in the last 2 months to correct my daughter's teeth she said she would go see Dr.Debbie and Heather whenever I said. (That is saying something for a 6 year old that would go in to hysteria at the mention of having to go to the dentist just a couple month ago) Most professional, friendly, and caring people, I can't recommend them enough! Doctor Kilgore is an extraordinary dentist who practices dentistry because her primary goal is to help her patients receive the best treatment, not see how much money she can make off of them. The staff in her office are very welcoming, friendly, and professional. I suffered for weeks and treated as if I were faking. Turned out that a root had been left behind after extraction. Then as a result of removing the root I experienced irreversible nerve damage and still experience pain. Every day of my life.

I'm very sad to be writing this review because I hate writing bad reviews. I went to this office while in New Bern visiting my mom because I hadn't been to the dentist in years, and the consequences of that shown. Five cavities, wisdom teeth impacted...the whole nine. Important note: the dentist and all of the staff was incredibly kind and respectful and I appreciated that. She decided to work on two of the cavities, the right side of my mouth, because doing all five would be too much. Since visiting this dentist, I have extreme pain on those teeth that were worked on and have been absolutely unable to chew on the right side of my mouth. I visited my mom a few months later and decided to go back and address the situation, because my mouth hurt so bad, all the time. The dentist, again very kindly, said she saw the issue right away and did a little more work on the main tooth that was screwed up. A little drilling and she said that would fix the problem. Well nine months later I am still in terrible pain in my mouth, the right side - every time I chew I feel like I'm chewing into open cavities and I ultimately am just unable to chew on that side, which makes it very hard because the left side of my mouth has an impacted wisdom tooth. I can't chew at all, really. Again, the dentist and all of the staff were really kind and accommodating, but the work I got on my teeth was so horrendous that I need to go see a new dentist immediately to fix what was done in my mouth. I made another appointment with Dr. Kilgore, but subsequently cancelled because why go back when I went twice already and each time my mouth got worse? I am very sad about the dental service that I received and that my mom paid the bill that she sent them. I will be calling Cigna and filing a claim. I'm very sad to be writing this review because I hate writing bad reviews. The staff was very kind and friendly, I did not have to worry about anything. Dr. Kilgore is the best dentist in New Bern in my opinion. She took her time, and ensured me that there wouldn’t be any issues, that they stand by their work 100%.

Dr Kilgore has been my dentist for nearly 10 years and I have received very thorough, professional care each visit! Her staff are kind and gentle in their approach during my biannual check ups. I take personal responsibility for my dental health as well as, the state of my general health. Dr Kilgore and her staff have been an important support in my maintaining healthy gums and teeth, without imposing a parental attitude. As I move to a new area, I hope to find another dentist who can meet her standard of care! Didn't feel welcome

Great staff, wonderful care ,warm environment ! Caring Dentist!

She decided I needed a root canal. The X-rays and determined that my root was not cracked. The next Dr didn't appear to be paying attention to what he was doing and my root became cracked. Came back to dr. Kilgore to extract the tooth, she left part of a root and tooth behind and I suffered excruciating pain for over a week. After several re-visits her assistant discovered part of my tooth and root left behind. She caused permanent nerve damage when removing it. Never even offered an apology.

My wife and I discovered very poorly done dental work following an exam by another local dentist. Amateur crown work, poorly done fillings and generally poor Dentistry.

I wouldn't go anywhere else. Always very nice and they do great work.
