David Cary Wolf

Dr David Wolf is a good Dr but,his bedside manner are horrible,he did my husband's liver transplant and although he did good,he tormented my husband taking advantage of the fact that it was during the pick of Coronavirus and no one was allowed visitors,my husband had an episode immediately after surgery and acted in an off character for him and Dr Wolf took it to heart and tormented and belittle my husband to the point of traumatizing him,needless to say my husband never saw him again and never will, extremely rude and unethical.

Dr Wolf looked me in the eyes when I was in end stage liver disease and said, I’m going to get you a liver. He did. That was 2009. My 10 grandchildren are especially grateful..

I was referred to Dr. Wolf after being in intensive care in very serious condition at another hospital. Dr Wolf and his amazing staff were beyond wonderful from the moment I first called until this very day . They immediately began gathering all my information and hospital records , contacted my current physician, and got me in to see them ASAP. Dr Wolf and his staff are very thorough, informed , knowledgeable and caring at the same time . I do believe that they saved my life . I highly recommend them !! Dr. Wolf is friendly, kind, and very thorough. All of his nurses, assistance and staff are just the same. I have serious liver problems and the best care I can for myself, but Dr. Wolf is so reassuring that I feel he's doing all the work! Dr. David Wolf is an A# -1 Physician and a wonderful human being. Dr. Wolf transplanted my liver May 17, 1998. 23 yrs ago in a few days ! I am forever grateful for having him as my transplant physician . I can never repay him for the skill, care and effort he afforded me in the time of my greatest need. Dr Wolf and his entire staff are knowledgeable, caring, and empathetic. I have been a patient for almost 8 years. Dr Wolf has saved my life. I live with cirrhosis of the liver. Dr Wolf has educated me, counciled me, and yes, on occasion dried a tear when I felt discouraged.. I wouldn't want to live with this disease with anyone but Dr Wolf as my doctor. Money hungry doctor who let my husband die. Have good insurance or he will do the same to you.

All of the office staff are professional and compassionate- they understand how the patient really needs to feel like they are priority. Dr Wolf is top notch- very smart, down to earth, listens, explains, encourages question, and isn't afraid to give real information. I am so glad I was led to his office for care. He communicates with my other physicians in ulster county and always makes sure to give me a copy of his consult notes for my records. Carol, his nurse is knowledgeable and caring and is sure to make follow-up calls, just to see how you are doing. I highly recommend Dr. Wolf and his team to care for anyone with various liver diseases! Dr Wolfe is definitely worth the wait for your appointment he answers all of your questions. And doesn’t rush you out of the room. Working in the medical profession myself, I appreciate he treats me as any other patient. And explains everything to me.

Dr Wolf has been treating me for 8 years managing PBC/AIH. He is extremely smart, caring, and supportive-especially when delivering difficult news. He is proactive and keeps on top of survailance and med adjustments. Very satisfied with him as my physician.

Dr Wolf is an extremely capable GI doctor. My problems are 100% with his support staff. They are horrific. I've had NUMEROUS situations where I was forgotten about in the waiting room, causing me to have to wait in excess of 90 minutes. I have had the need to speak directly to Dr Wolf via phone. Knowing doctors have very busy schedules I never expect to call and be connected at that time. I am always prepared to wait for a returned call at their convenience. Dr Wolf does NOT return calls.
