Dr. David Michael Wanalista

Dr. Wanalistra, is pleasant at first, however he does not do his homework, he doesn't not return phone calls. he fails to provide you information about your test results and has a lot of external excuses for his failures. He fails to provide notes to your pirmary care, and he has zero plans for your treatment. He does not return calls to the CVS to renew prescriptions. He has a terrible attitude, no epthamy for patients.

I took my mother in law to Dr Wanalista for her RA for years. Eventually with the medication he gave her, and after years of treatment, was told that her RA was gone. She is now 90 and has no issues whatsoever with RA. Dr. Wanalista is a very kind and caring physician as well as skillful at what he does as a physician. Very grateful!

Dr. Wanalista seems very confidant and caring - at first. However when the treatments he recommends don’t work he becomes frustrated and basically blames the patient. His is a profession where acting so childishly only serves to harm his patients. His office NEVER picks up the phone, and you always have to leave a message. This technology is pretty reliable, so I can only assume he and his staff make a conscious choice to not return calls for emergencies (life threatening medication allergy), or even make an appointment. I had to physically drive to their office to make appointments! He diagnosed me with RA based on a blood test, never ordered a single imaging test to get a baseline, gave me seriously dangerous drugs with no follow up bloodwork. I wasted two years (a year of which was waiting on his office to place an order for a drug) with no or failed treatment, all the time getting irreparably worse. I was shocked when I went to a decent rheumatologist and saw the level of diagnostics and follow up care. Don’t waste your time.

This was the worst patient care experience of my life. If I could give zero Stars, I would.

Dr. Wanalista is my rheumatologist and I would highly recommend him to everyone. He has really helped me and my condition. He is ALWAYS on time. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes and his office staff is great. Very helpful and friendly. They return calls really fast.

Horrible experience ! He told me I did not have Rheumatoid Arthritis...yet I had bloodwork in my hand at first appt that said I did !!! BIG TIME red flags went up after he said, "ok, you are fine...see you in 3 months "! He kept insisting I never did xrays he ordered, but then when I proved to him that I was never given said orders by his staff I was sent a certified letter excusing me from practice ! Maybe if he spent the energy on caring for me instead of arguing with me, all would be fine .
