Dr Thompson and his team are fantastic! All options were explained to me to be able to start the resolve of my problem. I would highly recommend Dr Thompson to anyone needing his help.

This is the second visit to address a similar issue with my other hand and his attention to my needs was just as excellent as the first time 8 year ago!

Trigger finger examination

In my 78 years Dr. Thompson is the best of the best and I highly recommend him. He doesn't rush you to any decisions and takes his time with you explaining everything you want to know. He is a 10+

My experience was very positive. The front desk staff was very pleasant and efficient, I didn't have to wait long to see Dr. Thompson, and I was very pleased with the care I received.

Dr Thompson, Was very empathetic with my concern and took all the time I needed to explain to me my situation and answer all my questions.

This staff is top notch, knowledgeable, patient and pleasant. I ask a lot of questions and this is not a problem with them. From check-in to the nurses, Pa's and Doctors, its always a good experience in over 6 years of me going to Dr. Dalldorf and now Dr. Thompson...Bravo!

Little waiting time in lobby and exam room. Dr. Thompson is the ultimate professional and surgeon. Unmatched bedside manner and actually listens to what I have to say and always remembers me from visit to visit.

Very pleasant experience; he was friendly and caring and listened to all my problems. He took care of my trigger thumb immediately and it was only yesterday but it already feels much better. I was very satisfied with my care and will definitely go back to him. (The only thing I found hard to understand was that my daughter brought me to his office and could not stay in the waiting room while I went in to see the doctor even though she had on a mask. It was 99 degrees outside and with gas at an all time high it wasn't economical for her to sit in her car. She was not happy with waiting outside on me as my office visit was about 1 1/2 hours.)

Dr. Thompson is an excellent doctor he did surgery on my thumb and it was wonderful. Then I hurt my wrist and couldn't get a appointment around the holidays when I needed it. So I went to a different practice. I liked the doctor but after a very painful shot I made no progress five months later, he spoke of surgery. So I got a appointment with Dr Thompson who gave me a shot that did not hurt. He spoke kindly of the other doctor and his shot. But he gave me excericises to do and now three weeks later it's almost healed, He really knows his job and in the future I will wait for him. Dr. Thompson was very attentive to my pain and my concerns. He spent time explaining the cause of my pain as well as options to help reduce or eliminate it. He was concerned about both of my hands not just the one that I had pain.

Dr. Thompson is one of the best Doctors I've ever had. He's very knowledgeable, extremely compassionate & caring. He knew the problem with my torn tender even before he examined it and knew what to do to fix it and also inject my thumb. He's kept me out of surgery for a very long time. We need more Dr's like him.

Smart. Professional. Efficient. He would have moved from a 3 star to 5 if he'd taken a couple extra minutes to tell me the quantity of medications he'd prescribed, and how and when I should take them.

Dr. Thompson is professional and cares about what his patients are going through. I have been through two major injuries with him. I highly recommend him for any hand injury.

Everybody was very nice and helpful. The one thing I would say is that the amount of information that you need to fill out it’s redundant and you Have to answer the same questions numerous times. Surely there’s a way to Streamland this to save the patient time. And perhaps much of this could’ve been done before coming into the office, online for example as many other doctor do.

Him and his PA think what you say is a lie which in terms it’s not instead of doing one injection first then surgery first he should have did more test to make sure of the problem now I’ve surge for one thing now it’s something else and I’m getting injections

Excellent! Did a Fantastic job on my index finger amputation. Not noticeable unless you count fingers. Had a Wonderful relationship with him, truly count him as a Blessing during a difficult injury.

Very professional and covered all my concerns

I am posting this as a voice for my mother (I was not present at the appointment) who currently visited Dr. Thompson. She recently fell at work at dislocated/relocated her PIP joint (middle knuckle) on her 3rd digit of her dominant hand, and bruised both her knees. Her job as a dental hygienist requires fine precision grip and control, which she does not have at due to her injury (cant even take a cap off a pen currently). First impressions were not great of Dr. Thompson, as he seemed very impersonal to my mother. He did not perform an extremely thorough examination by any means of her finger and her functional capacity at the time, and provided no education on what to do to start to regain function of her finger and hand. My mother felt because she had to file for workers comp. that she was just being tossed aside and he was just trying to push her through the exam and out the door. When my mother asked about seeing a Certified Hand Specialist for rehab, Dr. Thompson said, "Physical Therapy is just for those people who don't really want to do anything." Myself, being one year away from receiving my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, did not take to kindly to that statement. Our biggest complaints about this visit were. He did not take the time to hear my mother's complaints and made her feel as if she want being listened to, provided little patient education on how to regain function to a patient who is very eager to get back to work, and doesn't understand the capabilities and benefits of receiving PT treatment. As a medical professional, our goal is to provided world-class patient centered care to everyone that we see, and I hope there are improvements in the future. The end of the appointment was good, but the beginning started off being very rushed and Dr. Thompson lacked compassion. Not a place I would recommend.

Great guy, excellent doctor. Explained everything and was attentive to my needs. After surgery he recommended physical therapy to regain the range of motion in my finger, and his staff was great to work with. I’d recommend Dr T to everyone.

Would not trust my limbs to anyone else. He is a great Doctor, Surgeon, and person. Has your best interests at heart. Takes the time to listen to you and provide you with options and what you can reasonably expect.

He is treating me for joint pain in both thumbs. My appointment was brief but efficient. He explained well the procedure and administered injections in both thumb joints being careful and precise. The procedure has given relief from the pain. I feel I am getting the best possible treatment for my problem at this stage.

Yes, most definitely! He is the greatest hand surgeon in our area. He also operated on my knee in ER about 11 years ago and he was excellent. Highly recommend ??

The visit was okay basically the only thing the doctor said was the dislocated bone been there for awhile and it’s probably strained and he will see her in a month . I feel like the issue still wasn’t resolved.

Absolutely perfect. On time, with plenty of help, everyone was engaged. Answered all my questions and helped with questions I did not know I had at the time. Which by the way took time, I was never rushed. I will absolutely recommend Dr. Thompson and his team to my family.

I fractured my left distal radius. Dr. DAT repaired with plate + 13 screws. No issues except it can feel cold in extreme conditions ??. PS, he initialed my left arm (DAT) prior to surgery. When my elderly mother saw, she exclaimed ‘What DAT!?’ Thought I had gotten tattoo; hence, Dr. DAT ??

Guilford Orthopedics is no doubt the most efficient medical practice I have ever visited. I've always been called in on time and received prompt treatment. Dr. Thompson is very friendly and personable.

Dr. Thompson is a great doctor and person. I have been a patient of Dr. Thompson's prior to him moving to Greensboro and have referred friends to him. His PA Kirsten and Assistant Carrie are knowledgeable providers and have always treated me professionally and kind. The rest of the office staff are great too.

He knew about my previous problems with my hand and made great recommendations. Excellent surgeon for previous care. Would highly recommend this doctor.

Thorough...explained everything well. I had a shot of cortisone which I have had in the past which much pain...he did it with little discomfort and talked me thru the whole process. Would recommend him to anyone. The staff were all friendly. I called this office after my previous group changed my appointment 3 times! (Another ortho office whose name I will not mention). The lady was friendly and got me in the next day!!! I had planned vacation time around tbe previous appointments with the other group and after the 3rd time of them changing my date I was done with them!! THANK YOU GREAT STAFF AT GUILFORD ORTHOPEDIC!!!!
