FRIENDLY AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. LISTENED ATTENTIVELY TO THE BACK PROBLEMS I WAS EXPERIENCING.

This guy is an absolute joke please don't go to him for your pain management. He does not even remember who you are when you walk into the office. On the very first visit he asked if we could go somewhere else and he was always very very rude. He does not care about helping you recover at all and will lie to your disability telling them your able to go back to work when you are clearly still in pain!!!! He needs to be fired!!! I would give him negative stars if I could. He is a worthless doctor and I'm not one to make reviews on people unless they truly deserve it. You All Have Been Warned! Very good experience, I appreciated his expertise, he was kind and made sure I was comfortable during my injections. The whole team at ortho Indy was professional and took care of me.

Run as fast as you can, and by all means if you can’t run, then walk, crawl, or roll away from this place. Find yourself a true medical professional, because you are human, and deserve honesty and quick and compassionate care, whether you’re injured at work or somewhere else. Don’t be treated like a third class citizen here!

This physician it seems has a pattern of putting as little effort as possible into caring for his patients and all the other comments reflect exactly what I experienced. Hated any questions, spent less than 5 min in the room, didn't review my MRI before suggesting treatment. Absolutely horrible.

Saw him once he ordered PT, some relief went back for follow up he ordered an MRI and after more than 2 weeks and multiple calls to his office he still hasn’t called to give me my test results. Don’t waste your time find a real doctor!

Glorified paper pusher. I would not recommend anyone to see Mr. Steinberg. He does not want any time with you, explain anything to you (because he truly does not know) and takes offense when you ask educated questions. He will quick say he is not a surgeon so he cannot advise. Worst physician I have ever been too.

When I first saw him six months ago he blew me off and said it was muscle. I had to go back six months later because I am still miserable and continued to decline. I went to see him and he ordered an MRI to be done the next day. Unfortunately, it took ten days to get my MRI completed due to waiting on staff to upload my documents for insurance to approve. Then, I was told it would take two days to get my results. I am on day five and they said they have sent him a message to contact me with results but still nothing. I am so disappointed. If he was in pain daily maybe he would act a little quicker. I will call AGAIN tomorrow to try to get results. I also will ask to switch MD’s. I’m not sure if this is an OrthoIndy problem or just Dr. Steinberg, I am a little worried to get the same results. Wish me luck! Talks down to you and thinks he is smarter than everyone. Do not recommend.

TRIED GETTING IN TOUCH FOR THE PAST WEEK WITH MY CHART ON HIS DESK AND A NOTE TO CALL MRI RESULTS WITH NO RESPONSE VERY DISSATISFIED.

Dr. Steinberg did an EMG of my right arm, prescribed by Dr. Coscia. I found him to be very friendly and knowledgeable. He prescribed Lyrica which has helped. I will see him again in a month. I would highly recommend him for pain management.

I saw him for hip pain. He said he didn't think the pain was coming from my back, but wanted an MRI as I hadn't had one in over a year. He wrote a script for PT and wanted me to go to OrthoIndy's PT. I took the script to MY PT as I they are awesome, and OI's therapy is a joke. During the follow-up appointment, he said the MRI didn't show any problems that would cause my hip pain. I told him my PT had reduced the majority of my hip pain. So he writes a new script for PT for low back pain.

The second time I seen Dr. Steinberg he seen me for, literally, 6 minutes and the visit went as followed: he did not remember that he took me off the pain medicine the month prior (Tramadol) and forgot why he told me not to take Ibuprofen anymore. I needed to remind him. Aside from that, he also proceeded to "show" me how to Google back exercises and how to shop for the medicine ball he encouraged me to get. Mind you, he had already spoke to me about the ball at my first visit. He then proceeded to tell me he will not put me on any more medications (only the second time seeing him), continue to stop taking the Ibuprofen and continue to stretch; come back in three months to see him. I thought that was very unprofessional and it made me feel like he does not care about the pain that I am going through. The whole reason I decided to go to him was to have some of my pain relieved. I will not be going back to see him after that last visit. My husband had an appointment at 3 pm and arrived at 3:06 pm (one of the ladies at the check in confirmed I arrived at 3:06pm- I have it written ). I was 6 minutes late because I was coming straight from the ER (30 minutes of drive) where my husband was taken by ambulance earlier the day, because he couldn't MOVE from the bed. He denied to see my husband because of his strict late policy. He should remember that once he took an oath to uphold ethical standards. I felt defeated. ugly heart.

Good luck getting a hold of him for emergency situations. I spent the weekend in ER after an injection from him. Different reactions and never received a call back. Will not return

I have been scared of the upcoming hip replacement. Horrific pain now and painful recovery after it is over. Dr. Steinberg was very understanding and informative. I feel comfort in knowing he will be the one to keep me as comfortable as possible thru this next 6 months.
