He was awful, just horrible! I met with him 1 year ago after multiple chronic sinus infections, Eustachian tube dysfunction, and retracted ears (all noted by PCP). He told me very condensendingly there was absolutely nothing wrong with me. I left down, discouraged, miserable - feeling ridiculous. I met with another ENT who did CT scan (x2).. all 4 sinus cavities completely blocked, deviated septum, turbines too large... just underwent 3.15 hour surgery. Finally, on the road to recovery and feeling better. I lost over a year of my life because he had zero interest. I also met with another woman who does CT Scans, and she had exact same experience. Do not use Dr. Shoemaker!

I had been suffering from a persistent cough for over 2 yrs along with multiple other allergy type symptoms for decades. I had seen many specialists & had many tests performed as well as prescribed many different meds to attack the diagnoses. I finally received a recommendation to see Dr Shoemaker. He performed an MRI & immediately came back with the cause! A deviated septum & infection in my sinus cavities leading to post nasal drip & the persistent cough. Had surgery and no more cough!

He was kind with great bedside manner!

Dr. Shoemaker has been my ENT since March 2017 and recently did my nasal surgery for sinus issues. His bedside manner is outstanding; I've never met a more personable doctor. He has been concise yet thorough, explaining everything to me including walking me through a poster of the sinuses and my CT Scan. He has never seemed in a rush and always answers questions to my satisfaction. He discusses all my options. Wonderful job on my surgery! I'll be seeing him as long as he's practicing. :)

Dr. Shoemaker is an outstanding ENT, and great guy! I have had the pleasure of being a patient for many years. I have always found him to be professional, caring, and forthright in coming to a diagnosis. When treatment therapy was necessary, the outcome has always been great and that includes surgery. So, I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Shoemaker to anyone needing an ENT.

From one professional to another, he is a complete jerk and cares only about money. I thought it was a nice gesture for him to mention that if we had any insurance questions to ask at check-out. We did not even agree to do the surgery. He is really a jerk....I did like him.
