I was very lucky to be assigned to Dr. Shaver as a new patient. We contacted Novant Maternal Fetal Medicine to get a second opinion after receiving some confusing information from my OB at Atrium. This was the best decision that we've ever made. Dr. Shaver gave us the confident and direct answers that we needed - but in a compassionate and caring way. He was able to refer us to a new OB at Novant which I will be forever thankful for. We are now a part of the Novant family and we will continue to visit Dr. Shaver in the future if needed. Cannot say enough about how incredible all of the doctors here are!

This Doctor is one of the most amazing and kind hearted ones I've ever met!! Can't say enough good things about the great care he gave me in a scary period of pregnancy.

Dr. Shaver is absolutely wonderful. I have seen him for 3 pregnancies over the last 10 years and can't say enough good things about him.

Dr. Shaver is very experienced and knowledgeable. We don't have appointments, but he found out times on his calendar to see us when we were so worried and felt hopeless. He helped our family come through the darkest period.

Dr. Shaver is the absolute best. He has an incredible bedside manner and is extremely knowledgeable. He has been a constant support and source of valuable information for me as I navigate a high-risk identical twin pregnancy. I cannot say enough great things about him.

He's very warm, caring and nurturing. I've never had a Male Dr before and he changed my opinions! He made us feel at ease and calm during a very stressful appointment.
