Dr David Oliver told my daughter he should be able to remove the tumor that had began to grow around her left ear. He had found a main nerve that was located inside the tumor, which he said he could bypass it. He cut the nerve in half said he tried to patch it. Dr Oliver himself is an exceptional Dr but I think that he and his treatment coordinating and consent department needs a lot of improvement. Here, sign this form that says you are responsible for paying what your insurance won’t cover and never go over what is about to be done is not informed consent. No one discussed in detail what he was going to do until the second he started numbing my nose. At this point I felt obligated to do it. I didn’t even know what we were doing he just said he was going to look around. For all I knew he was going to look with a light. My chief concern was loss of taste and smell due to Covid 19. I guess since I was a previous patient that had sinus surgery 5 years ago he did some type of endoscopy to look around. Told me to take vitamins and smell stuff for biofeedback. If a procedure is going to $1,000 that is not emergent I think the amount should also be discussed. If I would have known exactly what I was getting myself into and that it was going to be that much money and it wasn’t really necessary I would have never had it done. Then to top it all off I keep getting emails about the bill that leads me to a portal I can’t sign into. I have called and asked for the bill to be mailed to my current address that was never updated. I’m very disappointed to say the least. Very well trained, very knowledgeable, sense of humor, as good as it gets.

Most professional and best bedside manner of any doctor I have ever experienced. Phenomenal staff, amazing PA. 100% solved my issues, listened to my needs, and calmed my nerves.

Dr Oliver is the ABSOLUTE BEST in Savannah! He has performed multiple surgeries on both of my children. He also has performed cutting edge tracheotomy surgeries on my Stepfather. We adore him!!!!! We trust him! His bedside manner is the absolute BEST!

I truly appreciate everything Dr. Oliver has done for me since first visiting him in early 2018. With his help I discovered I have obstructive sleep apnea and now I sleep better than ever. Like another reviewer said, he did comment on my weight, which was a bit disheartening, but he wasn't wrong! Ever since I got heavier my breathing got worse. I know he wasn't being rude. My only negative is the amount of time I typically spend at the office for appointments. Overall, very pleased with Dr. Oliver! Dr. Oliver is beyond amazing! He and his staff are true professionals. He did a wonderful job on my Septoplasty and did exactly everything I wanted. I’ve never had a doctor that cared so much about his patients! & I can finally breathe again!!! He is a very nice man and I appreciate him so much. So glad I chose him to be my surgeon!!???? I have been pushing to get my son (now 3 months) into an ENT to look at his tongue tie since he was born. None of the doctors or lactation consultants believed me when I said he was tongue tied. I finally got referred to Dr. Oliver and he was amazing! He took very good care of my boy.

We took my son (8 yo) to Dr Oliver after he got hit in the nose with a ball one day at baseball practice. We thought he’d broke his nose. All was well there, but Dr. Oliver noticed his breathing, took a look in his mouth and noticed his tonsils were very large. He recommended we have them and his adenoids removed. We decided to go for it. He had his surgery July 3rd. Recovery was rough (as anticipated because he had such large tonsils), but Dr. Oliver and his staff were Johnny on the spot with any issues we had. We are almost 4 weeks post op and my son is a whole new boy!! He wakes up so much happier, he is all smiles... he feels so much better than he did before! Thank you Dr. Oliver and your team for noticing something so small as to how he was breathing that turned into something that has turned his world around and made him feel so wonderful! Doctor Oliver Is the best he removed both of my thyroids . He did a wonderful job I was even able to go home that night. Following his instructions I'm recovering quickly. I was so nervous going into the surgery but the nurses were wonderful. but when doctor Oliver came in and he was so confident in himself it put me at so much ease He gave me that reassurance that everything was going to be fine. Still not sure if the tube down my throat helped. The same day I felt worse than ever. Never get a double dose of numbing medicine. Went in with sore throat came out with stuffy and running nose. I went to another doctor for a second opinion and did a procedure that determined I don't have acid reflux like Oliver said. He is the Best ENT Dr. Ever!!!! Saved my life!!

I’ve had horrible tonsils my entire life. I got sick a lot because of them and had trouble breathing. Dr. Oliver took one look and told me it was time to let them go. He’s very knowledgeable, straightforward, and confident. I’ve never trusted a doctor so much! I felt like I was in very good hands! Through my recovery, I had a few moments where I had to call him late at night because I had some bleeding and he always answered and told me exactly what to do. Keep in mind recovery is always painful and frustrating with a tonsillectomy especially around the 7th day but it was completely worth it and I wouldn’t have asked for a different surgeon! Saw Dr Oliver on Feb 28 2019. HE ordered for me to have a scan and some other test to be done, As of this date April 21 I have not been scheduled , I have called his office 3 times and his help says we will call you back with a schedule ,never heard from them.Went to another Dr sent me right on to hospital had test done that day, I think Dr Oliver is a good Dr but his nurses sucks and he needs to know they are not doing their job

Dr. Oliver saved my life. IDK why I couldn't breathe. Had episodes of fainting, unexplainable. 4 doctors did not believe my symptoms because they were so bizarre. Dr. Oliver told me the allergy test was 17 yrs old & anything was possible in the air we breathe now. He used state of the art technology, diagnosed the problem & set up surgery while I was sitting in his chair. I was tearful because I had suffered for 9 months. Doing great since surgery. Thx a million Dr. O. You Are the BEST!.

didn't believe me when i told him my issues yet i saw another ENT after him and he believed me and then i had surgery for tubes and my issue is fixed. thanks to my new ENT im no longer in pain or suffering

The surgery he performed was somewhat successful. I still can’t breath very well out of one of my nostrils.

Great service, before and after. Dr. Oliver and his staff are true professionals. If you have any type of ENT related issue I would highly recommend going to see Dr. Oliver and his team at Coastal Ear Nose and Throat.

I had to have my thyroid removed and was told by another dr it was ok. Dr Oliver removed it for me. Even though I had some complications after my procedure(no fault of Dr Oliver's) I am so glad I chose him as my Dr. He and his staff are wonderful and attenative. So thankful for him????????????

Loved Dr. Oliver. My daughter, Olivia, stuck something in her ear while at school. After visit with pediatrician things became worse so we went to the ER. ER scheduled surgery early in the morning with Dr. Oliver. I was freaking out so he made me feel calm and finished the surgery so quick. The work he performed did not fix my problem. When I brought this up he became very defensive and gave me lame excuses for why the problem was persisting. He mentioned over a month after my surgery that I had metal parts placed in my sinuses. He never went told me he was going to do that. Not to mention he’s constantly an hour late to everything, my surgery included. Please look elsewhere for an ENT.

Saved my girlfriend's life last Thursday night. I've never seen a doctor that cares so genuinely for his patients. He called in his own operating team in the middle of the night for an emergency surgery and performed a second operation just for good measure to make sure the bleeding in my girlfriend's head would be permanetly stopped. Amazing Doctor and Staff!!! You can't go wrong with this office. Hands down the best in Savannah. I'm so glad a few co workers suggested him after a horrible experience at another office. This office was very compassionate and punctual with my child and scheduling her procedure.

Dr Oliver did our daughters tonsils, adenoids and turbnate surgery this past Friday. We were told he was an excellent doctor - he has proved nothing short of that. The day of the surgery, he was prompt and super nice and friendly to us all. He spoke to us - not down to us. Once the surgery was over he came out personally and went over everything that he had done, things to look for, things not to do with her, foods, and even told us what a sweet baby girl she was. He explained everything about the recovery and for her so far it has been on point. The one thing that really made this doctor for me was when I went into the recovery room - he walked me back and I immediately heard her crying, he assured me everything was ok and helped me get through that first initial shock of seeing her in recovery - then as I was going to get in the bed with her - he asked if he could take my purse and bag and set them down for me in the chair. He spoke in a soft voice and told us it was ok. Asked if I need anything and if I was ok. His staff was amazing and his nurse Pat is amazing - I called yesterday just to make sure everything was ok and we laughed and she was super down to earth and talked me through everything. We also love Beth in scheduling - super wonderful. This doctor is truly an amazing person - he is down to earth - great bed side manners & so nice. We really would recommend him to anyone and in the future if needed he will be the doctor for us. I also had no issues when waiting for our appointment in the office - his staff was kind, courteous and we were back a few minutes after we arrived. We are always early if that tells you anything. Dr. Oliver I was told was one of the best,but he was horrible.He told me that my daughter's snoring,and coughing was due to being overweight.We looked at the cat-scans and I saw plain as day mucus stuck in her sinus cavity.but he did not.This guy was a waste of time and money.It was weird when I was there he came in and was doing more nudging and playing and there wasn't just one nurse,but two nurses which means no privacy.I am sick and tired of these negligent doctors. I'm very glad I decided to get my procedure done here. The office staff is always very polite, I have never had to wait over 20 minutes to be seen, and Dr. Oliver is very nice and explained everything that was happening, going to happen, and my options of treatment to me in detail. It has been 3 weeks since my procedure and I can see an amazing difference in my breathing. I've never had a problem at this office and highly recommend anyone to go here if need be! I highly recommend Dr. Oliver. He's by far the best ENT in Savannah. Dr. Oliver is very knowledgable and actually listens to his patients. He's empathetic, conscientious, and truly cares about his patients. I have been seeing him for about 1 year, and his dedication and commitment to improving my chronic sinusitis have really impressed me. As a registered nurse, I expect a lot from a doctor, and he has by far surpassed my expectations. His office staff is also friendly and accommodating.

AWFUL! I waited an hour and a half just to have him bully me and eventually I left the office in tears. He basically told me that he thought I was a miserable person and that my face looked like I have a big chip on my shoulder. To top off the experience, I waited an hour past my appointment time and when I called back after leaving and calming down he continued to berate me and never apologized for a single thing he did or said during the visit or the phone call. (I wish i could give 0 stars)

Dr Oliver is the best! He literally saved my life when he discovered something that another ENT missed. I had MRSA in my sinuses. After treatment and sinus surgery I'm doing better than ever. I've also recommended him to other people with the same result. That is why he is so busy.
