Great doc
Dr Oji performed a total ankle replacement on me (female 74 yrs old) in Oct 11, 2016. I am so thrilled that after 3 years of severe pain, and another doctor elsewhere who did nothing for me, I have absolutely no pain in my new right ankle. Of course I followed all instructions and physical therapy. Spent time in a rehab facility due to being non-weight bearing. By Dec 18, 2016 I was walking in tennis shoes (some pain and swelling) and driving. No knee scooter, walker or cane. Long recovery but today I can walk and hike (not arduous hikes). My ankle damage (osteo arthritis, slipage while hiking) worse that Dr Oji had seen. My foot was going left while my leg was going right. He tightened some ligaments and loosened others to correct damage. He is an excellent surgeon, smart, kind with great bedside manners! I trust him! Dr. Oji was and has continued to be the absolute best surgeon I could have asked for. He was not only incredibly skilled surgically but his compassion and care made my broken ankle experience infinitely better. I couldn't recommend him more highly.
I was very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Oji from a family friend that he treated for his ankle injury. He took the time to explain what I had and the ways he can treat my injury. I appreciated how he was initially very conservative with my care. Ultimately I needed surgery and I cannot imagine anyone better than Dr. Oji to fix it. I healed up amazingly well and during the process, I really appreciated his empathy and great care.
