Dr McALLister has a competent front office secreterial group that welcome me and asked me to fill up the form. I was taken to exam room and examined first by his assistant and he was excellent and knowledgable. I walk then to be examined by Dr McALLister himself and had long discussion. The session was very informative and I could ask as many question that I wanted. My experience with Dr. McAllister's office has been a 5 star and beyond excellent. I am forever grateful to the wonderful and comprehensive care shown to me by the entire McAllister orthopaedic team. I was sent to Doctor McAllister from another doctor that had done a bicep surgery repair for me earlier this year and unfortunately there were complications! My original orthopedic surgeon had never performed the repair surgery only heard of it, and Doctor McAllister had only seen it a couple times, but did perform the surgery and did a phenomenal job! I had been in tremendous pain and had almost no mobility the entire year, and within a short period of time, I realized the surgery was a huge success!! I am extremely grateful to his assistant Kelly and all there staff for making my experience with UCLA so amazing!! Dr. McAllister was so helpful over the past two months after I broke my ankle. Knowledgeable, competent and compassionate are only three words that describe him as well as everyone in his office. Over several visits, he always easily explained my progress to me. I feel very fortunate to have come under his care.

Dr. McAllister has an excellent bedside manner, he’s very friendly, takes his time to explain all of your options and I felt he genuinely cared about my quality-of-life and well-being as his patient. He saw me for torn labrum’s in both shoulders. I can’t recommend him enough he is a gift to medicine, to his students and to his patients. His office staff are amazing and very diligent about returning calls and processing paperwork. Go Bruins! After the surgery with McAllister, I had an internal bleed that he ignored and delayed taking action on which resulted in a nerve damaged leg - permantley swollen and numb knee to foot. Because he was too busy to address the bleed, it hardened and created permanent nerve damage.

Great experience, got a meniscus tear surgery 5 months ago, Dr McAllister went over each question I had before surgery, I followed all his instructions and after 3 months I started to play soccer again, now after 6 months my knee close to be 100% , gym during the week and soccer during weekends I cant ask for more, Thanks Dr McAllister to out my knee on track again!! In February of 2018 (this year) I was diagnosed with a chronic (degenerative/complex) meniscus tear. From the outset, he explained the different treatment approaches I could take and was thorough in explaining the pros and cons of each decision. He asked all of the right questions, listened to all of my issues, and most importantly, helped guide me to the decision that matched my goals (which was to return to playing basketball). Dr. McAllister removed the chronic meniscus tear while preserving 90% of the healthy lateral meniscus. Because his hands are so agile, nimble, and fast he was able to finish the procedure with minimal swelling. I was able to return to basketball after 6 weeks (I was very cautious). To anyone looking for an orthopedic Doctor I highly recommend Dr. McAllister. Lastly, his assistant/office manager Kelley is one of the most competent, intelligent, and caring individuals you could ask for. Anyone looking to return to their sport or passion should absolutely do their best to meet with him. P.s. he is the LA Laker and UCLA team doctor.... I went through two Orthopedic doctors before being referred to Dr. McAllister and he is by far the best I've met. Dr. McAllister is communicative, compassionate, and I feel very safe to have him as my knee surgeon. His assistant Kelly is hands down one of the best as well; she's friendly, always has a cheerful voice and gets you what you need in a timely manner. I cant wait to have Dr. McAllister to fix my knee and get me back to normal again. ????
