Dr. David Joseph Heichel

In 2016 I was referred to his office to scope my throat to find out why I was losing my voice. After the exam which showed nothing, I was told I had acid reflux and given meds for that. I rarely experience anything like that, but 10 months later I had no voice. I researched voice clinics and went to Bastian in Downers Grove where the doc found a cancerous cyst on my larynx in about 5 seconds. I asked how it was missed in Marquette, and the doc said the scope needs to go past the back of the throat. After six weeks of radiation and treatment from another ENT for five years, I’m now cancer free. I can only imagine how much worse it could have been if I just took meds for acid reflux. Failing grade!

Went with my daughter and grandson today to an appt. This was our first time seeing him and he walked in the room and said "Is this your first, fifth or tenth kid". He never bothered to introduce himself or anything. He spent about 3 minutes with us. I will say his nurse was very informative and took time with us though. Would not recommend him at all! I would not recommend this poser for nose picking! How they can dare call themselves specialists is beyond me. If it hasn’t already been diagnosed by somebody else, forget wasting your time and money on them. Their expertise is severely limited to nose pickers! Don’t return phone calls. They hide when they don’t know what your issue is. Withhold info, recommendations and avoid you. Use excuses that somehow you fell through the cracks. Waste your time, money without regard to your suffering. Just another couple of hacks posing as specialists preying on yoopers to line their pockets!

Dr. Heichel has been treating me for the last 2 years for various sinus related problems and tried everything, surgery was the only remedy. I had great care, he explained everything to me and my after care. Had an issue and he took care of me right away. Can't thank him and his staff for restoring my health.

Dr Heichel saw me in the emergency room in the middle of the night and had me call his office the next day for a follow-up. When I called his office they were pleasant and got me scheduled with the doctor and his PA within the week. Very happy with the service from Dr Heichel and his staff.
