My husband and I will forever be grateful to Dr. Cohen and his entire staff! In fact, we are due in April 2022 and I’m already wanting to think about planning for baby #2! I had visited a few fertility doctors in the past and was not comfortable with their bed side manner and also their ideas of how to proceed with infertility. My husband and I found a good group of doctors and through a close friend - Dr. Cohen was recommended to speak with about fertility. I was very nervous leading up to the 1st meeting, but after the first few minutes it was clear Dr. Cohen knows how to proceed and listened to my concerns. From our first meeting to our last meeting… Dr. Cohen and his staff were always available and respectful. The secretaries are amazing to work with, I was extremely comfortable doing bloodwork when needed and I usually fainted (didn’t 1x), ultrasound techs were so gentle and very reassuring! After 3 years and 2 losses trying on our own, I had an HSG, hysteroscopy, and 1 IUI. I was never in pain or any discomfort! All procedures went super smoothly! Thank you so much Dr. Cohen! We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Dr. Cohen!! Not only is he one of the leading experts in his field, but he also has an incredible 'bed side manner' for his patients. Prior to working with IHR, we had a lengthy difficult road with another fertility clinic and Dr Cohen listened thoroughly and developed a custom plan for us that inevitably resulted in the birth of our perfect, beautiful and amazing baby girl!! I would give thousand stars to Dr. Cohen if, I could! but limit is FIVE so he gets it. Dr. David P. Cohen is by far caring, knowledgeable and loves his job. He is definitely the leader in compassion, experience and star of my success story. when me and my husband or any other couple choose the route of fertility, it is a hard choice and very emotional journey, when you hear or personally experience negative results it takes a toll on every-part of life. Than one day One call I would never forget, when i heard the news"you are Pregnant" wow! my gash. Happiest moment of entire life. it also came after lots of focused care of Dr. Cohen and his awesome team. At Reception, Linda and Jennifer are just amazing. ultrasounds were done with lots of care by Ruchi I believe is her name with real care. she is above and beyond amazing. Nurse coordinators SARA and Jessica are just top of everything, easy to follow up with and always answered all my questions. when i complained about being at work can't pick last minutes prescription they sent to pharmacy which I was suppose take within few hours, they listened and said they will improve. I also understand it's part of fast moving process and I kind a wanted everything to done fast or in short time. Fertility treatments are a commitment to staying positive, schedules, treatments, follow ups, patience, emotional struggles and should not be considered lightly. I believe you have to be well aware or already a bit knowledgeable already prior to getting into this to be able to navigate or direct your way for peace of mind. It's always you who have to decide what you want or which way yo want to proceed and they will help you with that. I had to take counseling as well to cope with few prior unsuccessful cycles. Dr Chen did not gave up on me gave me hope I really needed. He you will have a BABY and guess what!! I HAVE TWINS A Boy and A Girl. I am beyond Thankful to IHR. I wish the best to all trying at IHR. you are in good hands and if it meant to happen to be, It will be here because, I believe there is no better Clinic in Illinois than IHR. This is the most important decision you will ever make when needing help to have a family. We went to three other doctors that were not helpful or hopeful. I am so glad that I found Dr. Cohen. He was the one that allowed us to finally fulfill our family dreams and With great love and tears in our eyes, we can only continue to thank and love Dr Cohen always. We are immensely grateful to have found Dr. Cohen to help us through our fertility journey. Dr. Cohen is an utmost professional with a bedside manner that one can only hope for through such an emotional and difficult process. There are a lot of ups and downs, scary moments and difficult decisions throughout this journey, and Dr. Cohen’s ability to coach us through those times made a world of difference. After numerous attempts at IUI, one miscarriage, and four egg retrieval cycles, we are thrilled to report that our first embryo transfer resulted in a (thus far) healthy pregnancy. We are due October 2020! If and when we are ready to have our second child, we will certainly be seeing Dr. Cohen. We couldn’t have done this without his trusted advice and exceptional skill and the support of the entire IHR staff. So much of the fertility process is outside of your control. What you can control is who you choose as your doctor. We’re incredibly thankful to have chosen Dr. Cohen.

My husband and I started seeing Dr. Cohen for help getting pregnant in October 2018. He was recommended to us by a good friend who had a successful pregnancy with Dr. Cohen’s assistance, and he was the first (and only) fertility specialist we saw. If you read nothing more from this review, please takeaway that we could not be happier with the care we received from Dr. Cohen. We would absolutely recommend him to anybody trying to conceive. After some preliminary testing, Dr. Cohen sat us down and walked us through our options (IUI, IVF, or continue trying unassisted). He was incredibly patient in explaining the different options and treatments, including the risks, costs, and potential outcomes. We opted to try IUI, and after our second attempt got pregnant. Sadly this pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. As awful as that experience was, what I remember most about it was how supportive and empathetic Dr. Cohen was in delivering the news, performing the DNC, and holding my hand in the recovery room. After a couple more failed attempts at IUI, we started our IVF journey. I’d heard horror stories about fertility clinics being a “cattle call” and patients feeling like “just a number” as opposed to a patient. I can honestly say I never felt like that at IHR. From the phlebotomists to the ultrasound techs to the nurses to the office administrators, everyone is incredibly helpful, patient, caring, and professional. Like any doctor’s office, there are times you’ll have to wait for your monitoring appointment, or you’ll have to follow up to get a response to your question about your medication, but overall I’d say this is an exceptionally well-run office. As to Dr. Cohen’s care through our IVF journey, I can’t overstate how wonderful he was. He is an utmost professional with a bedside manner that one can only hope for through such an emotional and difficult process. We did 4 egg retrieval cycles back-to-back, resulting in more than enough healthy embryos to have the size family that we want. I’m thrilled to report that our first embryo transfer resulted in a (thus far) healthy pregnancy. We are due with a baby boy October 2020! Dr. Cohen took the time to listen to all my concerns. He explained everything in depth. Everything moves very quickly which is exactly what you want. Staff is helpful and gets back to you quickly. I am now over 15 weeks pregnant after 5 miscarriages. I would recommend to anyone looking for help with Fertility

Dr. Cohen performed my surgery (myomectomy for adenomyosis) 9 years ago almost to the day. I believe yesterday was the date... He literally was sent from God, he's the best at what he does! I cannot say enough good things about him. God bless him!!!

Dr Cohen is my hero! We have a beautiful, healthy baby boy thanks to him. If you’re struggling with infertility, I’d recommend you see him...he is incredibly intelligent and an experienced expert, but he’s also very compassionate, kind, and understanding. We had three miscarriages, six retrievals and many bumps in the road on our journey and he was supportive and wonderful through it all. IVF is hard. It’s a second job managing all of the medications and appointments but in the end it’s totally worth it. Good luck, you can do it! Dr Cohen is my hero! Dr. Cohen is AMAZING. He is down to earth, kind, considerate of his patients wishes, available, and is willing to explain and re-explain things. He does not over promise and will give you his honest opinion, but he is very thoughtful in his approach, and supportive in helping you achieve the family you so badly desire. I am eternally grateful to him, not only for his help in achieving pregnancy, but his guidance and support throughout this entire process. He is the truly the best!!

Dr. Cohen always made time to address specific concerns to our case. He is extremely busy, but always could schedule time to talk. Honest with assessments and treatment for IVF. Don't be in a rush when arriving to your morning IHR treatment. Routinely busy office!

While I can recommend Dr Cohen, him being a qualified and attentive physician, I cannot recommend the fertility clinic "IHR" that he is part of. Communication issues with unresponsive and non-caring staff are one of the biggest problems when working with IHR. Despite Dr Cohen's expertise it is a very stressful and frustrating experience being a patient there.

Absolutely the best!

Dr. Cohen is a wonderful doctor. We have a beautiful ten-year-old daughter due entirely to his ability in dealing with infertility. I was an older patient--40 years old when I had my daughter--and I had endometriosis.

I was referred to Dr. Cohen from a highly regarded Dr. at University of Chicago. The moment I met Dr. Cohen I knew I was in the right hands. He made me feel super comfortable, we came up with a plan, went over all of the possibilities and quickly moved forward. He takes the time to really know your situation and give you the best advice. Through all of their thoroughness and Dr. Cohen's expertise, after the first try I am successfully pregnant!
