Dr. Claxton is an extraordinary doctor and scary smart too. If you are diagnosed with any blood cancer, Dr. Claxton is the doctor you can count on for the best treatment.
I have seen Dr. Claxton for the last 3 years for the treatment of my CML and he is my favorite oncologist to date. I have seen 4 other doctors in Chicago and Philadelphia and he is by far the best. His care and expertise have given me confidence in my diagnosis. He is thorough, understanding and warm. I live in Philadelphia and travel 2 hours to see him.
My dad used to see Dr Claxton multiple times for appointments. Unfortunatley, Today was the day he told my mother that my dad was in a severe condition and only had one more week to live. After he informed her, he forced my mother to tell my Dad to die. I'm sorry, but what kind of doctor, tells there patient to die? My mom reacted the same way I did and refused to. Then Claxton gave my mom a nasty look and went to my dad and told my dad to die. I will NEVER forgive Claxton. I hate him.
Dr. Claxton is an extraordinary specialist who is an expert in his field and an expert in patient care. As a patient of his for the last year, I can honestly say that he saved my life with his expertise. Any resident studying under Dr. Claxton will be far ahead of their contemporaries. I would strongly encourage anyone with a leukemia diagnosis to seek Dr. Claxton's care for the most comprehensive, state-of-the-art treatment available in the region.
Dr. Claxton and his staff gave my sister-in-law excellent care. They were kind and caring.She was 28 years old She had very young children. My sister-in- law had acute myeloid leukemia. She passed 11 years ago and at that time Hershey was the place to go. They were doing all the drug studies. I remember how kind Dr. Claxton was when he told my sister-in-law that they had exhausted every treatment possible. If you have this disease this is the place I would go. .
