Dr. David Richard Brown

Good thing I knew where I was going. Five stars to Dr. Brown and staff. Zero stars to Google Maps. When I first posted, I thought the post was meant for Google, NOT Dr. Brown.

If I could I’d put 0 stars. I went in for an office visit for some light ear pain and asked and was told by front desk that if the doctor were to do any procedure that may have a charge I’d be notified during the appointment. Of course they did not say that they’d be able to say the price of this procedure b/c this varies by insurance, But I simply asked to be told of any procedures that may incur costs so could give informed consent and not be surprised by a bill. So the doctor removes some wax, but he does not tell me this may have an added cost. The whole appointment was maybe 5 minutes and his explanation for my ear pain was inconclusive. And lo behold weeks later, I get a mailed bill for $80 on top of what I already paid in office that day. When I called to complain and hopefully get a resolution, No understanding or solution was offered. What world do we live in where a patient can’t even receive notification of potentially cost incurring procedures? I’m a young women that works hard for the money I make and am very conscious of my spending. This is not ok. If I could I’d put 0 stars. Do not go and see David Brown! He gave the same diagnosis twice, like he had never seen me before. He did not read his notes or the mri! He gave me the same diagnosis Sleep deprivation Along with three other patients within 30 minute.

Thoughtful doctor whose experience and care I greatly appreciate over the two decades of being his patient.

Dr. Brown was very helpful, he explained everything, he solved my ear problems, and I left with a good understanding of future health and prevention approaches. His staff was professional and helpful.

Best ever Physican...have been seeing him for 20 or so years and he has always found and fixed my problem condition, no matter how obscure...Please go to him for yor ENT needs...

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet Dr.Brown because the reception staff was so incredibly rude. I had heard great things about the office and Dr., but as his first point of contact I was astounded by their demeanor. He needs better staff to say the least. It’s a shame!

Dr brown is skilled and kind. Good covid protocols in the office.

Dr Brown took his time to find out the details of my symptoms and found a cure. I felt like I was in great hands with him. Thank you, Dr Brown!

Over the years, I've seen Dr. Brown for various issues including recurring sinus infections and now reflux and snoring. Dr. Brown is an excellent diagnostician, he is careful and methodical. Dr. BROWN is n excellent doctor for issues related to ears, nose and throat. He has identified all I need to do to improve my hearing. I have been his patient for over 7 years.

Knowledgeable and caring

Dr. Brown has been my ear doctor since I retired to SAF 8 years ago: my evaluation is that Dr. Brown is an A+ physician. I am perhaps more familiar than most patients with the training and education of physicians because I come from a medical family: my father was a surgeon, my wife is a practicing physician and a Clinical Professor at Harvard Medical School, and I taught medical students basic science for 45 years. Dr. Brown inspires confidence in me because he is well trained, highly intelligent, asks the right questions, listens well, and appears to genuinely care about his patients.

Dr. Brown is the best ENT MD in Santa Fe. He is careful with his exams and hearing tests. His experience as one who lost some hearing helps his patients.

After my ENT specialist retired, I saw Dr. Brown for follow up with a chronic ear problem. He was pleasant, thorough, and professional. He suggested an MRI for what appears to be nerve damage in my left ear -- something that none of my other ENT doctors have suggested. I trust him implicitly.

As a first time patient Dr Brown did not look in my ear or in my throat. Thought that would be the first order of business. Directed me to the allergy dept. which was wonderful!
