Dr. David L. Brisman

I love Dr. Brisman. He returned my call on a Saturday morning when I had a weekend dental emergency, and the office got me in on Monday morning to treat it. Emma and the rest of the staff always go out of their way to help.

Where to begin - from the moment I called this office - (discovered on Zocdoc) and spoke to Emma (a god send) to the minute I left, it was an awesome experience. The empathy, grace knowledge and compassion in this practice does not go unnoticed. Dr Brisman is amazing !- well done to the entire team there and Thank You

Everyone in the office makes going to the dentist such a pleasant experience! I literally look forward to it. The hygienists are thorough, kind, welcoming, and explain each step they take and why it’s important. Dr. Brisman is very attentive to concerns, is reassuring & warm, and is incredibly knowledgeable. I love the peace of mind I have as a patient here!

I’ve been seeing DR B for over 15 years. I am a true dental scardy cat! There is no one like dr B and his staff. No one! They are respectful, kind and un judgemental!!! Very important to a gal like me who should always be taking better care of her teeth!

Amazing professional and friendly staff from reception to the Doctor. Every step of the procedure was explained clearly and thoroughly before, during and after. They discussed the options before we started, going through the benefits of each. They helped me figure out the easiest way to get the most help from my insurance. From start to finish it was a pleasant experience. I hated going to the dentist before I started coming here. Now I enjoy my semi annual visits.

As a physician I hesitate to write negative reviews about other providers. I understand the challenges that we face as health care shifts towards a more service oriented field and the pressures of insurance/billing and etc. That being said, this was the most horrible overall dental experience of my life. I don't say that lightly. Dr. Brisman was kind and answered all of my questions, however I ultimately ended up with two teeth that were unnecessarily shaved down (per my long-time family dentist who was APPALLED), a perforated sinus that required a sinus lift and multiple days of horrible pain without ever being offered adequate pain relief. In hindsight, I truly, truly, regret booking with Dr. Brisman. Utilize any recommendations that your primary dentist may have before pursuing treatment here. I don't believe he had malintent, but as I sit here recovering in pain from a procedure I was NOT appropriately counseled for, I feel morally obliged to share my experience here. Dr. Brisman's staff members are helpful, gracious, and accommodating. His team is merely an extension of Dr. Brisman's very nature. He is also beyond professional, knowledgeable, and considerate. He has a way of calming you and explaining the issue at hand, options and results. He is also a sleuth at unearthing a new patient's past issues and has a knack as a problem-solver. Brisman’s office was super easy to schedule, pre-checked my insurance, prepared upon my arrival with such a friendly reception. My hygienist Laura was very efficient and helpful when offering suggestions. Dr. Brisman is super friendly and I would highly recommend this practice!

I came to Dr Brisman’s office and team late in the game after most of my life without a dentist relying on emergency room repairs. Despite my best efforts to remain in my fear and deep seeded insecurity Dr Brisman and Lolly and Emma really made me feel comfortable and (gasp) excited to visit and get my mouth healthy. The office is always very clean yet still homey, comfortable. I really value Dr Brisman’s direct and professional care peppered with the occassional personal anecdotes. He always explains what he is about to do what I might experience and then after explains what he did and what is next; I always feel informed and clear about what is happening. I recently started visiting Dr. Brisman’s office and have been consistently impressed with their professional skill and the concern for the comfort and safety of their patients. They were very helpful in scheduling an emergency extraction when the agony my toothache was intolerable and provided follow-up, as well as the usual recurring dental services, efficiently and considerately. I encountered no billing complications thanks to the astute account manager who was familiar with my health insurance parameters and informed me of a logical treatment plan in which there would be no personal expenses. I visited the office for my regular cleaning. Because of COVID my temperature was taken before I could proceed with my cleaning. Proper precautions are taken as everyone was masked and working behind plastic shields. The cleaning was thorough and expertly done by the hygienist. Wonderful dentist. Has been my family dentist for decades. Even though we have moved out of NYC, I still schlep into Manhattan to see him because he's so dependable and skilled, and he has excellent dental hygienist assisting him.

I can not recommend this dentist enough. I have referred two friends here and everyone is happy about the service they received. Dr. Brisman and his team has experience and have your best interest in their recommendations for patients.

I have always been deathly afraid of the dentist (and still am), but the atmosphere is very inviting and calm. The location is cleanly and staff is friendly. I was introduced to Dr.Brisman and his amazing staff a few years ago from a friend. I knew that i needed extensive work done. Dr Brisman sat with me, we came up with a plan and he executed it in a timely manner. I have since recommended a few friends now as well.

Prompt care and temporary solution to hold an old inlay together so I wouldn't have to cancel a trip. Crown was then made and placed in less than a week. The fit was perfect and the care terrific. And... no pain.

Dr. Brisman did a phenomenal job crafting a bridge to fix a gap in my bottom two teeth. Throughout the entire process, he was patient, warm and informative (and funny to boot!) I was so nervous coming to see a dentist after so many years. I was greeted by a warm, friendly front desk. The hygienist was so enthusiastic and gave a great cleaning! I've a patient of Dr. Brisman for 10 years or so. I've been to many dentists through the years, and Dr. Brisman is the best dentist I've had. He endeavors to minimize pain and discomfort during and after procedures, he listens carefully to you, he explains potential procedures (implants, root canal, crowns, etc) carefully, reviewing the pros and cons of alternative treatments, when alternatives exist. He is skillful, and the results are excellent. The assistants and staff are professional.

I had a really great experience at Dr. Brisman's office. I haven't seen a dentist in over 15 years. First I needed a cleaning. The hygienist was so comforting explaining each process as she went along. Found out I had 2 cavities. Dr. Brisman recommended a crown on one and an extraction for the other. Today I just got my temporary crown which I was super nervous and anxious about...but I went through with it anyways. Dr. Brisman was super comforting and accommodating. Before he started, he explained step by step what he was exactly going to do, how long each process was going to take and while he was working he was keeping me posted on the progress. That totally eased my nerves. I will be going back in 2 weeks for my real crown. I will be going back for regular cleanings and I will also recommend him to others. Absolutely awful - broke my crown and charged me an arm and a leg. Staff is horrible. I would not recommend this dentist. His father was the best, now David Brisman does not really care about the patients.

Great experience, I had a sore wisdom tooth, Brisman advised extraction. I braced for the price but it only cost 70 OOP with my ins. I dreaded a long painful procedure but 2 shots of 'cane and 30 seconds later it was out and I was on my way with an icepack.
