In all aspects from the X-ray technician, assistant and Dr, Bica himself, I was treated exceptionally well and with respect. All listened carefully to my statements.
Great DR and experience very friendly he explained everything he was doing perfectly while performing procedure. I highly recommend DR Bica thank you for being so friendly.
I came with my daughter. Dr. Bica answered all our questions.
Dr. Bica, Is a thorough and thoughtful doctor. He does not rush the appointments. He has a wonderful demeanor in dealing with me, an impatient patient!

Dr. Bica was very friendly an thorough in explaining my medical issues. Very thorough in explaining the procedure that I will be having done. Highly recommend
Listened and offered thoughtful analysis and suggestions. All my questions were addressed and answered, took sufficient time to complete a thorough and complete examination. Also responded to all my questions. Made suggestions for a path forward.
Reading the reviews made me nervous. I found him to be pleasant. He answered all my questions. He also explained what he was doing & how it would feel. He drained my knee. I would have other needed procedures completed by him. I did tell him the negative reviews made me nervous. He said maybe it was a bad day. I told he was correct.
I been a patient of DR.Bica for many years. Prior to finding him I have seen numerous orthopedics to help me with my situation, I was involved in a car accident and was left with an injury that affected my spine, neck, head and life. Walking was difficult and the pain was unbearable but no other doctor would give me answers or help me with a treatment . DR Bica was amazing, he immediately sent me for the proper scans and found I had a syrix on spine, I had other spine damage. I believe if it wasn’t for DR.Bica I wouldn’t be walking today or have managed pain . DR Bica is truly a gift . He also is very compassionate, listens well and very knowledgeable. I had met with Dr. Bica this past week for recurring back pain. I suffered an injury to the L5S1 im 2015 and have been dealing with daily back pain since then. I've seen Dr. Bica on multiple occasions the past few years. My experience with Dr. Bica was, hes very withdrawn and lacks the impetus I feel is necessary to truly understand my symptoms. I got the impression he had his mind already made up what he was going to say before entering the room to evaluate me. Infact there was almost no evaluation of my symptoms. He didn't ask much if any questions regarding the progression of my injury. He didn't mention or recommend any further medical imaging for the future. This highly concerning for a patient seeking reliable long term treatment. (6yrs with injury) Dr. Bica went on to argue semantics with me in regards to him saying, "I will be in some level of pain my entire life" he later rebutted saying "I will be in some level of discomfort my entire life". As a patient dealing with chronic pain those are words you never use in the healing process. He didn't seem to believe the level of pain I'm in. Unfortunately I had to extrapolate information from Dr. Bica as he began reiterating the same thing my physical therapist had told me. (Core muscle strengthening, etc). It funny how he assumes my core muscles are weak without even do any evaluation in regards to core muscle strength. His bedside manner was very rude and I left his office feeling like I didn't received proper medical care. His lack of attention to individuals symptoms and understanding individual patients is definitely undermining medical care I or you may receive from this man. I don't recommend him at all. Stay away if you'd rather have a caring doctor that wants to work with you to get healthy. I had met with Dr. Bica this past week for recurring back pain. Was nervous after reading some of the negative reviews. Totally unfounded. Dr. Bica was professional and courteous. He explained the procedure (facet joint injections), answered my questions and performed the procedure perfectly. I felt comfortable during the whole procedure. The nursing staff was incredible also.
Good doctor who doesn't bs. Just tells it like it is. Very informative regarding procedures and what to expect during recovery.
I’ve seen him twice and neither time did he listen to my concerns. I have multiple tears in one shoulder and was concerned about the additional stress on my other arm. I’m still working a physical job which he says should be fine even with all the tears. Well now my other arm hurts as bad as the one with tears. Especially since it’s taking so long between booking an appointment, booking an mri, then booking another appointment for him to tell me I have to go somewhere else. I wish I read the reviews before going to him.
HORRIBLE! Awful bedside manner. Was rude, impatient, and talked down to me. I apparently ticked him off by asking questions about the procedure. I wanted to ensure that the injection we were doing was going to address both areas of pain because I had zero communication regarding the procedure from my regular practitioner at university ortho. I also inquired about a novel treatment for degenerative disc to see if this was an option for the future and this question offended him. He contradicted information given to me by his colleagues at university ortho about the steroid injections. At this point he said “you seem to have a lot of questions” in an agitated tone. I explained that I didn’t think there was anything wrong with advocating for myself considering that I have been in daily debilitating pain since October! Zero empathy for patients. Just the last type of person you want caring for you when you’re getting worn down with daily pain. Very frustrating. I feel sorry for his staff.
I waited an hour to see him and when he finally came in the room he was abrupt and rude. His examination was so rough that I left the office in more pain and spent the weekend in significant pain. I will not be following up in this office again.
Have seen him twice. Does not listen to my concerns. He is very rude and impatient. I do not feel safe allowing someone with that demeanor performing any procedures on me. I will be seeking another physician.
I've seen Dr Bica numerous times. He's awesome! He listens to you, does not rush you out. He gives you treatment options. I have been having plasma injections in my hip. It's the only thing helping after another dr misdiagnosed my problem. Highly recommend!
I met Dr. Bica once, half-way through weeks of treatment; his PA was out. He was cold and impersonal. I was just an old lady with bad knees. However, Kristen Palumbo, PA, was energetic and friendly. Had they worked more closely together, I’d have had MRI sooner, becoming aware of problems not appearing on x-ray - bone stress fracture, a tear, ruptured baker’s cyst. I arrived in a wheelchair, unable to bear weight on my right leg from pain that had started along the back of my leg, now spreading from my swollen knee to my ankle. Physical therapy was painful, so I did not resume therapy until I was given a shot of cortisone; it was weeks before the original pain subsided. Completing therapy and with continuing exercises, I started getting sharp pains in both knees (osteoporosis). I switched to another doctor from University Orthopedics, closer to home. Grateful to Kristen for the blood test to rule out a blood clot, but upset by $674 charge for unnecessary spinal x-rays.
Terrible experience !! I was assigned to Dr. Bica by University Orthopedics in November 2019 because of a shoulder impingement and to receive a cortisone shot to my left shoulder; it was the worst experience I've ever had. He was very abrupt; no bedside manner whatsoever. The procedure felt like he was 'drilling' into my shoulder looking for the place to insert the needle (very painful) AND it didn't work. Eventually had another appointment with Dr. Green's PA (Kasey) in January 2020 and the procedure was performed flawlessly.
Very impatient and poor bedside manners
Wondetful, had HA injections in both kness..no more pain and I can get out of chair.Remarkable, the pain relief and range of movement! Thank you Dr.Bica, your great????
The man is a sadist and should not be allowed near patients not under anesthesia.
After seeing another doc, I brought my test results to Dr. Bica for a second opinion. I was very nervous, in pain, and not a fan of surgury. Dr. Bica was spot on in his diagnosis and treatment for my hip and back problems. My Sciatic pain was fixed nearly immediately with guided cortizone injections, and no problems for 3 years!!! I was terrified but it was no big deal. I trust Dr. Bica and highly recommend him.
I can’t thank Dr. Bica and his staff enough!!!! I have been living with back pain for months now. I went into see him scared to death. He was amazing and they put me at ease. It has only been a few hours and I already see a huge difference in the pain!!! Wish I had seen him earlier!

Excellent experience! Dr. Bica took the time to listen to me and diagnose my problem. My fix was physical therapy, and he was happy to help me with a booklet and showing me the correct way to do the exercises.
