When the Covid-19 pandemic started in March 2020, I was in a very bad shape. I was suffering nearly for a year from the effects of my gut microbiome totally destroyed by an overdosed antibiotic treatment. I became immune compromised, couldn’t eat because of the Taste Disorder, had tar Black Tongue, and suffered from painful Angular Cheilitis all around the mouth and the chin. As well as I was fighting not to lose any more weight from 72 lbs. Needless to say I had gone through a chain of MDs for help. To my dismay I ended up with a collection of disorganized independent treatments and prescriptions targeted only at their narrow expertise areas. Consequently, I did not get anywhere. The appearance of Covid-19 pandemic compounded my problems because I didn’t have anyone to discuss about how my immune compromised body might react to its vaccinations. Since my Primary Care Physician exhausted her list of referral doctors, I dived into the Google Search to find an immunologist in the Sugar Land and Houston areas. Surprisingly, there were only two listed as immunologists. I chose Dr. Dat Q. Tran in Bellaire as my immunologist. Being younger he would be interested in recent medical developments. Also, I very much liked his professional training as an allergy/immunology fellow and researcher at the National Institutes of Health. Here, I was looking for his broader and inquisitive mind. And, he was an associate professor for many years at UT Health McGovern Medical School. This indicated he wouldn’t mind my asking many detailed questions. So, in June 2021 I looked for Dr. Tran’s care and guidance. When I appeared at his office for the first time he doubted if he could save me… which he told me later. Today, I feel good and healthy even though I have not been able to regain my weight. Dr. Tran has proved to be exactly the doctor I hoped for. The most important to me was his treating my body as one to make sure all the organs and metabolic systems could communicate in harmony. He methodically and analytically persuaded me to get the Covid-19 vaccinations. He answered and explained my numerous written questions patiently. Oh, he was always prepared for my appointments. His gentle and down-to-earth personality with compassion and sincerity always complimented his technical competency. In other words, I found him to be a physician with a mission to cure peoples’ sufferings. I hit a jackpot. Dr. Tran is one of the outstanding physicians in the Houston area. If you are looking for an immunologist he is the one. I highly recommend him based on my experience of 2 years.

Talking about Dr. Tran, I can see he is the best allergist we have encounter. He is an excellent allergist with lots of patience. He carefully listens to your concern and involve you during planning phase. I had an infant with multiple food allergies and during each visit I feel that D. Tran truly listen you and shows compassionate care for the child. He never order any unnecessary test for my baby or calling for frequent follow ups, which I know lots of doctors do to make money. From front desk to medical staff everyone is welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Tran.

Yesterday I brought my college-aged son to Dr. Tran who I can't say enough about! Wonderful and friendly staff! I felt so welcome and cared for. Dr. Tran is so kind, informative, and caring. He takes his time with you and truly listens and explains everything very clearly. Where do we begin! We found Dr. Tran through Google, our search was “best allergy doctor in Houston” his name among others came up. Our daughter has seen by 2 allergist prior to Dr. Tran. One misdiagnosed her and the other just didn’t have the best bed side manors. On our first visit we both new right away that Dr. Tran was it for us! He was very thorough with his testing and from there we all decided allergy shots was the best thing for our girl. I am not making this up, when we tell you our daughter looks forward to her appointment. Very thorough, will spend hours discussing our child’s allergies and resulting skin issues. Very responsive to questions and concerns.

Staff and Doctor Tran were very friendly and testing was quick and almost painless for my son.

Dr. Tran is an expert immunologist and excellent clinician.

Dr.Tran and his entire crew are at the next level. He is very experienced, knowledgable and extremely patient. Dr. Tran and his crew made sure they asked every question that will help evaluating my case, and took super detailed notes. From the first call I have received amazing service and follow up from his office. They even made sure I get the best price for a medication insurance doesn't cover. Blessed to have them in Houston!

Dr. Tran has got to be my favorite doctor that I go see. I've got a complicated health history, so dealing with a doctor that is smart, listens, and is willing to explore crazy but plausible possibilities (like the rare stuff that most people immediately rule out because it's rare) is like a breath of fresh air. He's also incredibly invested in his patients well being which just makes him a better doctor. I don't have kids, but I've heard the animal noises he makes through the walls and have never seen a kid leave his office unhappy. The staff are also just a joy to work with, a rarity in the medical field in my experience. They also value the patients and it shows by how communicative they are. I had a question that I asked the front desk and within a day they had an answer for me despite the question being non-emergency. I can't sing the praises of everyone in this office enough. We love Dr Tran and his clinic staff. He is always quick to respond to concerns by text or call. He has treated one of my children for severe life threatening allergies and turned his life around! Dr Tran spends time with his patients, is very knowledgeable, uses up to date clinical information, is innovative and you know you are getting the best care. We were searching for an Immunologist for our daughter. Our primary doctor referred us to Dr. Tran. As we begin the steps to set up our new patient information with his office staff and setting up an appointment by Telehealth, the office staff were awesome. They were very kind and knowledgeable to help us prepare for our Telehealth visit and to help with any questions that we had regarding the "new patient" information. The day of our appointment, we met with Dr. Tran via Telehealth. Dr. Tran was very polite, professional, helpful and knowledgeable with to our daughters health needs. He asked several questions and then was able to go forward with diagnosis. I would recommend Dr. Tran for Allergies or Autoimmune Disease.

Dr Tran is the best doctor ever! Hands down the best. He is very personable and really gets to know you to treat you better, not just like other doctors who goes by the labs and treats the symptoms. I have seen many Allergy doctors and he is the only one that has found a way to stop my allergies. Dr. Tran is very easy reach and get a hold of, unlike most doctors and will work with you in regards to your schedule and your insurance. He tries to make everything convenient. Dr. Trans staff is also the best. They are very welcoming and accommodating. They always return your phone call as soon as possible and does not overcharge. Dr. Tran is amazing!!! I was having severe allergies were my eye lids would close shut. I saw two allergists before seeing Dr. Tran and they were not able to pin out what was causing them or provide the best way to prevent these allergy attacks. However, Dr. Tran provided great insight and conducted the right test to prevent my allergy attacks. I am happy to say that after since seeing Dr. Tran and using the medications that he described I no longer have flare ups from allergies. He also worked with my budget as I was in a high deductible insurance plan and his team worked to get me an appointment the same day I called due to the severity of my allergies. Dr. Dat Tran is a very personal, intelligent, and highly skilled professional. His services definitely helped clear up some questions in regards to my personal health, and he's actively worked to try assist me with different therapies and further tests from third parties. His practice is aptly named, as he's the most innovative allergist I've come across, and he's done a great job keeping patient care and customer service at the top of his priority list. I have been having very bad allergies for years and was very tired of keep having them. I decided to see a Allergy specialist for the first time, and it was a right decision. Dr. Tran took time to give me the allergy skin tests, gave me good advice and treatments. I stop having allergy for months now and am much happier. Dr. Tran was an amazing allergy doctor who knows how to help you live with your allergies and minimize allergy suffering. I think it's the methods and ways that he uses to determine what your allergies are, and provide quality education on how to lower allergies so that you can live better. I've been to several doctors and a few allergy clinics, but Dr. Tran was truly the best.

What a refreshing experience! Hardly any waiting for my appointment. The staff is great and Dr. Tran is wonderful. Wow, best allergist so far. It is extremely rare to find an allergist immunologist who sincerely cares and devotes the time and commitment to my complex medical problems. I have been suffering with peanut and shellfish allergist all my life as well as asthma and environmental allergy. He and his staff are very professional. My experience with the Dr. Tran was epic. HIs bedside manners was the one thing that impressed me the most. He was extremely compassionate & very concerned about my allergy issues. I truly believe that Dr. Tran will resolve all of my sinus and allergy matters..

It's not that often, these days, that you find a physician that wants to make sure the patient has a positive experience. Dr. Tran spends whatever time is necessary to diagnose the patient correctly, to determine the right treatment, and to explain the treatment to the patient (and/or the parent). I would highly recommend Dr. Tran to anyone.

I was blown away by the level of attention and thoroughness I recieved from Dr. Tran. I'm so used to doctors hurrying me out of their office before I even have time to finish telling them what's wrong. Dr. Tran sat patiently and explained every treatment to me in a way that made it easy to understand. I hit the jackpot with this Doc, and would recommend him to anyone suffering with allergies. Dr. Tran is personable and truly cares about his patients. He's doing amazing things with oral immunotherapy for allergies and we are so happy to have found him. I also like that the office is not in the medical center, because there is always free ample parking.

Best allergist in Houston. I have seen several prior and they were very superficial and didn't want to spend the time to listen to my complex medical issue. Dr. Tran spend over 1 hour and really help me understand my issue.
