DR Z is the best and is genuinely concerned about his patients and their care

I used Dr. Zagunis several years ago when he was in a different clinic. I felt he saved my life after several doctors failed to diagnose me with a painful cancer and I was left with some terrible bone pain. He really seemed to care. He left that clinic and left the area and I had to go to other doctors. When we saw that he was practicing here again, we made an appointment. First of all his staff is just as rude as they always were. You have to have thick skin and a lot of patience to deal with them on a regular basis. I saw Dr. Zagunis once. He changed my medication and said he would be with me the next appointment while we figured out if the dosage was correct. I never saw him again. The person I did see was a nurse practitioner of sorts who didn't care, didn't give me the correct meds and then kicked me out of the program because I was forced to take medication from the doctor I was using before my appointment with them.They wouldn't take my calls, wouldn't give me the proper medication even when I pointed it out and didn't care that I had a terminal case of cancer and needed pain relief. I would never recommend them to anyone. I was extremely disappointed in them. I did find another doctor who was everything they weren't. I am quite happy with this new doctor. I love Dr. Zagunis so much, he has helped me more than I can say. Unfortunately over the past two years, his office staff has deteriorated so badly they have me looking for a new doctor! They have no idea how important their job is! I traded shifts to make an appt this AM & when I showed up was told it was cancelled! Showed them a text confirming the appt at 1230 from the day before & got a shrug! No consideration for my pain or inconvenience! Then was told appt couldn’t be rescheduled for over a month! Dr.Zagunis is an excellent physician who listens and cares. I’ve been returning to him for several years now. He’s very cautious about your overall health and not just eliminating your pain. His medical team are seriously professional but so friendly that it’s fun seeing them. Great place, good results!

Dr. Zagunis has been my go to Doctor for several years. He has helped relieve my pain, numbness and tingling in legs and back. Highly recommend him, and entire staff.

An excellent physician in his chosen field. I have been his patient for many years. He listens, delivers and cares. His staff are highly efficient and very pleasant. This is an excellent choice for anyone with pain. You’ll love everyone there! I am very selective in my choice of physicians as my father was one as well.

Dr Zegunis has a great bedside manner, but don’t expect good service from his staff. Don’t expect to be treated like you matter. Don’t expect a return phone call from ANYONE. In fact, don’t expect to leave a message after hours because their voicemail boxes are always full. I’m sure he has helped hundreds if not thousands of patients but I was not one of them. Dr.Zagunis rates very high from my experiences in bedside manner, medical knowledge and capabilities. He manages a very well trained staff. Everyone there takes their job very seriously but makes you feel comfortable and at ease as their primary goal. Great job Dr. Zagunis!

My 84 y mom with memory issues was to have a procedure but staff would not let me go with her as usual. They said they call. I’m waiting in car and finally get worried. I go to check and staff said they sent her down alone an hour ago! I run to lobby and finally find her wandering around. If she had come looking for my car she would have become confused cuz I kept chasing the shade. Not one member of the staff came to look for her! They did call to check. Happy ending....but when I think what could have been.....

Dr. Zagunis has been my Pain Management specialist for nearly 10 years and is without a doubt the best there is!

Staff is threatening and rude. Office unable to schedule procedure in a reasonable time frame. I got no help from this doctor.

I can't say enough about the professionalism and utter desire to help for Dr. Zagunis. He and his entire staff care deeply about their patients and are dedicated to helping. I have been seeing Dr. Zagunis for more than a decade and with each visit, I am more impressed with the obsessive attention everyone in the office pays to a patient. Just wish there were more stars I could select.

Dr,Zagunis . Is a very caring doctor. He not only told me I need surgery now!!!. He left my MRI on the screen and showed me what;s happening. Guess what he was totally right Matter of fact he didn't even want to give me shots. He said you need surgery. I call Dr, Z my angel doctor. Holly is just as much as a sweetheat as the Dr, Z for that matter the whole staff was great, Today it's been seven months and I'm getting back to me. Thank ya'll Dr. Z's office. Sherrie Sahm SATX.

I finally decided I was getting the run around, after five visits (an hour each way) and a high co pay. I had one ineffective treatment. Was told by the PA that they would give me a pain medication in a different route. Instead, when I show up the Doc says it is an exploratory injection and because I was not currently in pain, I would have to come back again. NO ONE EVER TOLD ME I HAD TO HAVE THE PAIN ON ANY OF MY VISITS. I told him the worst pain is around midnight, could I see him then. NOT

Dr.Z is not a give u a bunch of pills and send you on your way kind of doc. He goes off imaging and can pinpoint exact problem areas and his injections have been extremely effective for me over the years. Being on pain killers long term is a death sentence, it's refreshing to have a doctor that cares about your health long term. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to be healthy and pain free, not turned into addicts.

Worst in the business. If your suffering from chronic pain don't waste your money or time. In their upscale office, Zagunis and side kick Holly are only out to make money. They don't understand chronic pain, (never experienced it), except what they've read from a book. They are not interested in anyone’s quality of life except their own. They love to give unnecessary injections, and Tylenol #3 is there prescription for every condition.
