I will always be so grateful to Dr Darin Smith, he knows what he's doing when it comes to surgery! I can walk without pain.

Man of few words, but he's a brain surgeon and not a therapist. Surgery went well with no complications. Any questions I ask are answered well, but if you don't ask, he probably won't say much. Overall great experience and will return to him if I ever have future neurosurgical issues.

Dr Smith is a very knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. He performed three laminecomies on me, but my additional procedures were not due to surgical error. As demonstrated by each MRI , I had new problems develop. No, he's not a perky, talkative person. But I found him to be very focused on my MRI and treatment plan. He answered all of my questions with patience and warmth. I will return to him if needed and I highly recommend him as a very qualified neurosurgeon. I found his office staff to be very friendly and accommodating. I have experienced a good outcome from my surgeries. Dr Smith is a very knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. I’m satisfied with the surgery dr. Smith did on my back. I had done research and found him to be highly recommended.

Not very friendly. No greeting sat behind the computer . What a putz.

Definitely wouldn't recommend him. I have never left a review on anything before and only am now to hopefully prevent others from having the experience I had

As for his actual visit I can't say because I was not aloud back in the room with my husband. We arrived at the office for a consult and see a sign "no children beyond waiting room". One this was a consult, our first time there, don't you think you should give someone a heads up prior to coming to your office that you don't like children. So as my son and I say there, he said a whole 4 words might I add, and he is 3 years old, I got up to pop my head in the room my husband was in to ask a question and the front desk lady jumped like a guard dog telling me he couldn't go back there. I have never felt so discriminated against for being a stay at home, self employed, mother of 4 before in my life. In a world where woman are powerful and strong you tell me that I can't bring my child, whom is with me 24/7 to a stupid consult!!! Wow!!! Piss poor rule, if you ask me!! My neck surgery went great. He seems quiet and shy. He seemed to get more friendly when I went back to see him for my back problem.

Very insensitive and his staff is terrible he treated me like I was a drug addict an faking my pain

I went to Dr. Darren Smith for back surgery. The surgery caused the disk to rupture more and I now live with nerve damage and muscular atrophy in my leg. I would strongly recommend not using him.

Dr Smith is a wonderful knowledgeable doctor and has helped me with my back. I would recommend him highly.

From the first time I met with Dr Smith, I knew I was in good hands. He took the time to ask me specific questions about my back pain. He reviewed my MRI with me, pointing out abnormalities and explained in detail the procedures he would be performing. He patiently answered my questions and at no time did I feel rushed or dismissed. Needs new office people.

Don't waste your time. His bed side manner is non-existant. Never felt cared for. I had 2 surgeries from him with NO results. Staff acted as calls to the office were an interruption.

Very knowledgeable. I had a consult and he took time to explain everything and answer all my questions. I asked him how many of the same procedures he had done and he told me 1000. I feel very comfortable with his vast experience.

Dr. Smith has done 2 different surgeries on me and both have had fantastic results. He is very personable and takes time to answer my questions.

I would not recommend this Doctor, he walked in my room sat down at computer and started clicking mouse, then almost undet his breath said he was Dr. Smith never looked at me, he should have knocked then entered, followed by Hi I'm Dr. Smith with a hand shake, nope. Also nurse before him asked what my worst spot was i said between shoulder blades, doctor comes in talking about my neck, i told him pain was in upper back more he just didn't care pushed me out door to make another appointment
