Dr. Danny B Fischer

My experience with Dr. Fischer was pretty bad! I was referred to him because it was discovered I only had one kidney (the other one atrophied). He was very aloft and condescending. I saw him 3 or 4 times, every 6 months. All he did was order new blood tests each time. If he had been more interested in my 1 good kidney, rather than criticizing me for taking too much Vitamin D (which I wasn't), he would have at least ordered an MRI or CT scan of that kidney! Had he done so, he would have discovered I had a renal cell carcinoma growing on it! After all, my GFR was only about 44-45 and creatinine was about 1.45 both of which are too high. But all Dr. Fischer did is tell me to come back in 6 months. But man that Vitamin D level was way more important! If all you need is your creatinine, you GFR, and a few other kidney monitoring blood test. A good GP can do this. Look elsewhere from a nephrologist!!

From the beginning, very arrogant and aloft. I had one good kidney and he told me I was fine. Well, if I was 'fine' why was a coming? He should have been more interested in monitoring my one good kidney. Looking back, he gave me no special diet, no instructions, no suggestions, just a blood workup (where my GFR was only 40 and creatinine higher than it should be) but told me I was fine. Now, I'm not fine. Go somewhere else!

He is the worst nephrologist in the city. He does not care about patients his bed side manners are terrible. He is in and out a room within 5 minutes he does not discuss everything as should. I would never go to him as a doctor or want to be seen by him.
