I used Dr. Weir for years when he worked at the Shopko in Sugarhouse. He was excellent. He was up on current opthalmic research; we worked together on my needs for bifocal contacts; he was always willing and ready to look up information if he didn't know it off the top of his head. Dan Weir is excellent. I have been using him as my Optometrist for 20 + years. He is full of excellent, up to date information. He is not vested in a particular brand of lenses. He does not try to 'sell' you anything. He is invested in getting you what is best for your needs and he will work with you till that happens. The office and tech staff a the America's Best where Dr. Weir works could use some help. They are a bit brusque and hurried and less than friendly. But Dr. Weir is great!

Dr. Weir is an excellent doctor. My children have astigmatisms and are difficult to fit for contacts. Dr. Weir prescribed lenses that worked well. He used to be at Shopko and has moved. I wish he was still nearby, the other eye doctors I have taken my children to have a hard time finding contact lenses that work with my children's eyes. I cannot rate the other questions regarding the office and staff because I have not been to his new location.
