August 2018 - Well I felt so good after hip replacement surgery I was clearing land and tripped in a hole on the weekend and broke my Tibial plateau on the same leg. My first thought was Dr. Rizk and I got an appointment at BB&J for the next work day. It was with another doctor who immediately took me to Dr. Daniel Thompson. I was seen and x-rays were done to determine extent of damage. I underwent surgery and spent a few days in the hospital for rehab. Dr. Thompson was there every day to check on me and sked "what do you expect from this surgery and recovery"? I expected 4-6 weeks and good as new. NOT!!! I had intense rehab and PT after 5 weeks in a wheel chair non weight bearing at home. (Infection caused a second surgery). Dr. Thompson was very intent every time I saw him and matter of fact about treatment plans. Fred, his PA, was always very informative and forthcoming with information. This occurred in August 2018 and in August 2019 I returned to full duty with "No restrictions"!!! Did emergency surgery on me years ago. I need another procedure now ,will be going back for him to do it.

When dr Thompson first did the surgery we only seen him one time before the surgery he didn't come to talk to us during or after or the next day it took 3 days for someone in his department to come see us and that's only cause my husbands Saftey man from work had to go up to his office and refused to leave until they agreed to go see us now here we are 12 days later for a follow up and the apt was at 9 we live in Houston witch is two hours away from his office and my husband is sitting in a gerney and they still haven't came to talk to us or anything when we asked nurse how long the wait is she was VERY RUDE. I am now seeing a new surgeon due to my femur refracturing. I actually tried to make a follow up appointment bc I was supposed to. Dr. Thompson looked at MY chart and said no I had been released, although he said I possibly need surgery. Here I am with a shattered fractured femur. My rod slipped out of place...

Dr. Thompson is an incompetent wise guy. I ask him to show me on the X-ray where the fracture was in my foot. He brought out the x-ray of the wrong foot and proceeded to try explain the fracture that was not there.
