Dr. Daniel L Rothbaum

My husband saw Dr. Rothbaum for both nasal congestion & acid reflux. The staff was all nice and he got right in, however the doc only spent 10 mins with him, looked at his nose & ears, gave him some info to take home on nasal procedure options, but never looked at his throat or examined the reflux cause. Just rattled off a couple of OTC meds. Not worth the $95 specialist copay or long drive. I wasn't allowed to go in with him, so couldn't ask more questions. Not thorough. Disappointed. Staff is the only thing saving this from a one star review. Office staff and technicians were all polite & helpful. I’d give them 5 stars easily if there was a way to separate them out from the doctor. But evidently bedside manner is something they no longer cover in med school. I tried asking questions and was immediately cut off by Dr. Rothbaum and told “I only need to know the symptoms.” In all he spent less than 5 minutes with me, ordered tests (one that I said had been done in the last 6 months), and still never allowed me to ask my questions. For my copay and whatever my insurance pays this doctor is making a killing off of unhelpful 5 minute or less office visits. He might be knowledgeable but I wouldn’t know cause he won’t answer questions and just wants to order tests regardless of if you’ve had them done somewhere else. Go anywhere but here. Dr Rothbaum is an OUTSTANDING physician! Dr Rothbaum took the time to accurately diagnose, treat and resolve, and perform followup. Dr Rothbaum takes the time to explain and answer questions in a way that's easily understood. He's not a in and out kind of doctor. Very thorough. Dr. Rothbaum seemed knowledgeable; however, the bedside manner wasn’t there for me. He would cut me off mid-question, and would respond sarcastically at times. His bedside manner was not the worst I’ve ever seen... but not very good either.

Based on my visits and surgery, Dr. Rothbaum is an excellent, knowledgable, patient and attentive physician. He is also a very kind, caring and sincere person. Dr. Rothbaum explains everything, listens to your concerns, takes as much time as you need with him and makes you feel comfortable. What more could a patient expect!!! If you read any of the few negative reviews I have to ask, did they actually have a visit with this Dr. Rothbaum? Couldn't be, as I wish all doctors were like him.

Dr. ROTHBAUM gave my life back by fixing my nose to a perfect straight nose by taking little cartilage from my ear. Dr. GROSS from lake Mary Florida messed up my nose. My nose was noticeable crooked where everyone keep asking me what happened to it constantly... it was embarrassing.. i went to several nose specialist all over Florida including Tampa hospital... they all said to me they cannot guarantee to fix it because this is my 3rd time doing nose surgery which means i am at a high risk. I finally met Dr. Daniel ROTHBAUM who told me he can guarantee to fix it and assured me he can do it. I felt confident and trust Dr. ROTHBAUM to do my surgery. I am so glad i did because I looked so beautiful with my new nose and no longer get questions asking me what happened to my nose anymore. Instead they compliment me how beautiful i look. All the bad reviews are so true. The doctor doesn’t care about your wellbeing. Staffs are terrible as well.

I don’t know how Dr Rathbaum ever got a license to practice medicine. Totally incompetent! Especially sad that Advent Health is associated with him.

extremely disappointed . Bought my dad in had sore throat and can’t eat or swallow. Dad is 89 years old. waited 30 minutes in office with no one before us. Then when we do d see him he looked in his throat recommended a test and sent him on his way. no recommendations for comfort care , no recommendations for dry month. He was dismissed as if his suffering meant less than nothing.

Friendly and very knowledgeable. Have had a cough for 6mth that no one seem to know how to help, and within one visit he was able to help me. I have improved significantly and I feel like a new person.

He did an amazing job and figured out exactly what was wrong with my ears.

Dr. Rothbaum is very knowledgeable and caring. I had sinus surgery in his office back in October. He explained everything he was doing every step of the way and made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an ENT physician.

Dr Devang Shah and Daniel Rothbaum absolutely care nothings about you, your case as a patient and only about money, they just say you flow up, follow up... for nothings. I'm writing this hoping it'll be informative, I wish before I had had my surgery that there was more info out there; I would have been less apprehensive. Dr. Rothbaum is the man. I needed deviated septum and nasal endoscopy surgery, he delivered both in one go. You might read reviews about how he has bad bedside manner, but honestly, he's just a straight to the point kind of guy. Don't let the bad reviews affect you. He did a bang up job in my surgery; I'm here a month afterward and I've honestly never breathed better. The staff was all cool throughout, people were friendly, etc. These types of surgeries seem to vary a lot in the success rate, I got a lot of opinions from people I know who have had them done, with mixed results. One of the nurses here told me the first week after surgery would be the most miserable week of my life: she pretty much hit the nail on the head. It was absolutely awful, particularly the first 72 hours. After that you start getting used to the idea of not blowing your nose or breathing much. But man, a month out, and it's awesome. If you're on the fence about having the surgery done, sure, go ahead and explore if you have any other options. I got a second opinion before I went ahead with it; the second doctor wanted me to do 21 days of antibiotics first, and then it that didn't work, surgery would be the next step (at that point I'd already done 10 days of antibiotics and that didn't work). Dr. Rothbaum already knew all the medications I had been on (I did antibiotics and a whole host of stuff before I ever even went to him) because I had brought a list, and after doing a quick CT scan and seeing all the structural issues, he skipped right to having to do the surgery. This left me reeling a bit because it did seem fast to me, but the alternative I was offered (more antibiotics) seemed useless to me, and after a lot of hemming and hawing, I pulled the trigger. So if things seem abrupt or fast or what not, just know that Dr. Rothbaum has the experience behind him and in all likelihood has a pretty good grasp on what's going on with your nose. Your surgery mileage may always vary of course, everyone is different. He's a decent sort and knows what he's doing, so if his "attitude" is your only thing on the con list, just get over it and go through with him as your surgeon or doctor. My wife just underwent sinus surgery by Dr Rothbaum. Before surgery he listened intentively to our concerns and answered all of our questions. Before surgery he reviewed the procedure and asked for questions. He reassured my wife she would do fine. After surgery he came out to let me know all went well. He's a Yale/Harvard grad. We strongly recommend Dr Rothbaum

Look, Dr. Rothbaum knows his stuff. I needed deviated septum and nasal endoscopy surgery. He did both in one go. It worked like a charm. His bedside manner was a bit rough at times, pursuant to what you might read in other reviews: he's a straight to the point kind of guy. Don't let that get in the way, because he is a good doctor. The recovery from the surgery was the worst, but a month later, I feel better than I ever could've imagined. I wish I had room to type more.

I wouldn’t recommend this doctor to anyone. Unfortunately, after he told me his diagnosis I had to ask any questions that I wanted to know answers for. He has an unfriendly bedside manner, and almost annoyed with my asking questions. He did not give me answers for the main reason for my visit. He never even addressed it. I am now seeking a second opinion elsewhere.

The doctor doesn’t care about what he does. He prescribed two kinds of medications but didn’t say what they were for or how to take them. The assistant did not tell the precautions after the procedure. When I asked about it, she acted like I should’ve known without asking.

Very unhappy with my service. I waited for half an hour for them to verify insurance covers a procedure. They tell me it's only my copay, so I go ahead with procedure. Next thing you know I get a bill for $170. They tell me oh well that wasn't a garantee that insurance will pay it. I say then why bother to check with insurance. He is fantastic with my daughter and the office staff is very friendly.

Dr. Rothbaum did a scope on me today. It was quick and painless. The entire staff is professional and kind .Great visit!

Office staff is so courteous and very helpful.. Dr. Rothbaum was great with my daughter who have severed anxiety. He addressed her directly and made it a point to explain everything to her and made sure she understood Everything that was G, going on.

Oh my gosh, I love my new nose! I look great AND can breath so much better. I have read some negative reviews about Dr. Rothbaum being on his laptop and I think I need to educate people... I would rather have a doctor 'charting' in real time - rather than (some of them do) at the end of the day and then they don't or can't remember everything. I highly recommend Dr. Rothbaum, his office staff also very professional and courteous.

Everyone is welcoming and friendly. Dr. ROTHBAUM is knowledgeable yet personable and no looooong wait to be seen.

Very good dr I trust after being his patient 9 yrs. Very caring & thorough. Got a correct diagnosis & avoided surgery since he chose to take a watch & wait approach instead of jumping into surgery that turned out unnecessary. I really appreciated that. Highly recommended!
