Daniel Coulter

Every appointment is the same with the same prepared generic scripted questions probably not even originally created by Coulter himself. I understand hes not there to be my friend or even my therapist not really but wow could you not make it even more obvious that your patients wellbeing isn't the least of any of your concerns? I felt like just a box to be checked off from his schedule if even that. I would schedule appointments very solemnly only because I would have to get my prescriptions renewed and if it weren't for that I would never even bother. Would only recommend as an absolute last resort if you have no other options.

In less than 5 minutes during an initial appointment, Dr. Coulter started discussing medications to address my generalized anxiety and associated depression without actually spending earnest time to learn about or discuss my condition. When I brought up my concern that he did not spend time getting to know me he said that he thought I was in a hurry to jump to discussing medications and he had been doing this for many years. I said that I was not in a rush to discuss medications and that I was concerned. Based on his demeanor, I said that perhaps this was not the best fit and he simply hung up on me and billed for the appointment. No level of care, concern, or connection with this provider. I would highly urge against seeing him.

i was crying and frustrated on our call and he hung up with me with no explanation or warning. he told me he can 'only help with depression, not what is going on in your personal life.' there are so many reasons why this is just ridiculous. please dont see this man if you can help it, if u have no other choice i am truly sorry for you. this was our third time seeing each other but i never liked him from the start. i truly pity any of his clients.

Very impersonal. There was no human connection.

Every appointment he would ask me if I felt as though I needed the dose to be increased, as if I would know what that would do or if I needed it? He would never explain how it would help or why he wasn't suggesting anything about my progress... He approached my appointments in a very methodical manner with a monotone voice the entire time. Going there increased my anxiety because I felt like he didn't really care at all.

Dr Coulter is a psychiatrist not a therapist. His demeanor is clinical as it should be. I have already left a positive review in the last 12 months and I do not see it. He manages my medications in a methodical manner. He asks appropriate questions and always suggests therapy if I feel it is necessary.

Dr. Coulter is very reserved. Then again he is not there to be my best friend either. I find his control and detail awareness of my health very good. He answeres if I ask questions. He opens with a regular Q/A check in which is to be expected. He always stays on course with conversation which I find professional. His prescription renewal timeliness is to be recommended.

Very impersonal. Projects an attitude, intentional or not, that he doesn't give a crap about you.

Dr. Coulter neglected to greet me as I walked in, instead immediately asking his pre planned questions. He dressed like he was going to the gym, NOT like a medical professional. While my mother was explaining things to him about my case, he shut her up to demand shorter answers instead of listening. He mimicked the treatment plan of my previous psychiatrist when what I wanted was a deeper evaluation and fresh start. He also insinuated that I was a sociopath, EXTREMELY rude. Will NOT see again.

I saw Dr.Coulter a month ago, and he was very unprofessional and not personable at all. When he opened the door, didn't even introduce himself or say hi, just looked away and said 'follow me' in a tone. I told him that i needed any quick acting anti-anxiety medication for the next month due to severe work stress, and he said he cannot prescribe any Xanax or benzo because I told him I drink about 4 drinks on Fridays/Saturdays...what? wow! This is only one of a few unprofessional things he said.

Very thorough interview: checked off a) family b) personal history c) drugs d) significant other e) medical topics and discussed how an imbalance in any of these can cause mood and anxiety symptoms. Informed me (contrary to my belief) that pot, alcohol and most illicit drugs CAUSE worsening mood and anxiety, and CAN lead to suicidal thoughts!! Shame on my PCP? Dr. Coulter NEVER starts late. My appointment is at 3:30 pm, Dr. Coulter calls me back at 3:30 pm.

Dr Coulter starts from a position of mistrust even though he leads you to believe otherwise until you leave and then he judges and manages you by your prescription history that he has access to. It was so difficult to transition from my old Dr to him, because he didn't want me to end up with one single tablet too many that he terminated our relationship after two meetings before my referral came through for me to terminate him. Never have I had such a compatibility problem with most any human.

Dr. Coulter is... an alright guy. But as a psychiatrist, he's kind of rude. He seems very backwards in his thought and even thought to blame my depression, BPD, and anxiety on alcohol and weed. I don't even drink or smoke that much - as soon as he heard that I'd done it at all, he totally shut down and his only response to any of my mental illnesses were, "Stop drinking and smoking entirely." I've seen other psychiatrists at this clinic before and I much, MUCH prefer them to Dr. Coulter.

Beyond the comfortable staff's waiting room, the psychiatrist's lack of attention to specific patient needs lacked to address such issues and based questions through a series of survey questions holding no interest in improvements to health and minding that of what client pointed out as issues directly related to today's primary concerns. There was nothing that changed I was just told things I know already and that was upsetting and a waste of my time away from work.
