Dr. B, has been my surgeon for all 3 of my surgeries. He literally saved my life with the 1st one was a dissected aorta in 1994. If I ever have to have another surgery. I hope and pray he will be available. With All my Heart! Thank You Dr. B! Sue Anne

I had mitral valve repair and quad bypass by Dr. Bethencourt some 15-20 years ago. I could not recommend him more highly. I do not have to take supportive medication which was the plus to valve repair and am doing so well my family physician is more concerned about myT2 diabetes than my heart condition. I have had no symptoms and feel good for a 72 year old.

20 years ago today you replaced my aortic valve with a homograph. I’m well and enjoying life. Thank you from the bottom of my well repaired heart. Sharon Heard

I took my mother to see this doctor regarding her mitral valve prolapse. I was shocked by his almost immediate recommendation to perform an extensive, and we later learned, unnecessary surgery. I looked up his records via the California Medical Board website and was shocked by the scrutiny he is currently under by the board for poor outcomes. THIS IS PUBLIC INFORMATION! We left and never went back. She is being treated conservatively at UCLA.
