After dealing with hip pain for several years, I was referred to Dr. Albright by my PCP. X-rays showed I needed a total hip replacement. Dr. Albright ordered aqua therapy to strengthen muscles prior to surgery. He told me 3 things would occur after surgery that I simply didn't believe: 1) Upon waking after surgery I would not have the joint hip pain; 2) I would go home the day of surgery and be able to walk upstairs to my bedroom; and 3) I would be able to begin out-patient physical therapy less than one week post-op. I am grateful to say that he was right! I am very pleased with the results of the surgery and highly recommend Dr. Albright for his surgical skills and his consideration of his patient's needs.
Informed me of my health status. Gave me outlooks for the future. Encouraged me in my recovery. And made me feel comfortable with my recovery.
Went over options for my knee and explained everything.
Dr Albright and entire staff are patient driven with positive attitudes and very responsive .
The staff is always cheerful and welcoming. Dr. Albright did some extra research for me to resolve pain I am having with my right hip implant. I’m looking forward to my next visit and resolution to the problem.
I had a full knee replacement with Dr. Albright and his team on December 16th, 2022. It was a fantastic experience! The staff and facilities were awesome. The surgery came with no surprises, other than recovery was a lot easier/faster than I expected. I was back working from home within two weeks and back in the office inside of a month. Really unbelievable! Thank you to Dr.Albright and his entire team! If I have one piece of advice… it is that you need to fully commit to the PT afterward and some PT and strength training with Personal Trainer before the surgery is a great idea too. Developing a relationship with a physical therapist and/or a great personal trainer will help keep you accountable in your preparation and recovery from surgery. Good luck and never hesitate to recommend Raleigh Ortho. They’re the best!
In 2022 Dr Albright very skillfully used the Anterior approach to perform my double hip replacement. On my first visit to his office, I was unable to walk without severe pain and assistance. Immediately following the surgeries, the pain was greatly reduced. Recovery continues to be successful. Due to the no restrictions guidelines following the surgeries and PT, I can now do everyday things that I have not been able to do in quite a while. This includes even walks up hills and trails. What Dr. Albright has done for the quality of my life cannot be expressed in words. Thank you and your excellent team! You are the best and I recommend your gift to anyone who needs this type of care.
Excellent service
As an active 69 year old patient, Dr. Albright completed a total hip replacement on me five weeks ago. In my visit with him today, he was thrilled with my progress. Walking into his examination room with no walker or cane, I was proud of my progress. I have two comments about the surgery. First, this surgery was out patient surgery for me. If the other hip needs replacing in the future, I will stay overnight. The first night was tough on my wife, which would have been easier if nurse's help was available. Second and most importantly, my quality of life is changed forever for the better. My wife and I can resume long morning walks, that have been absent from our routine for the past six months due to my ailing hip. This time together is more valuable than words can describe. Thanks Dr. Albright. You have a patient for life!
The staff is very professional, caring, efficient, and polite. I was very impressed with how quickly our appointment went. No waiting! Dr. Albright was very knowledgeable and explained my ex rays, and what to expect after hip replacement. I would highly recommend Raleigh Orthopedics!
I saw him for over a year after my outpatient discectomy failed. When he say the MRI all he said was 'wow'. Yes, good way to instill faith in a patient. Then he said it was inoperable due to scar tissue. Well, a Duke surgeon did the surgery without any issues. Also, at that point I was finally fed up with Albright anyway as he always kept me waiting. Not one appointment got me in to see him in less than 90 minutes past my appointment time. Worthless, arrogant, self-important, condescending. Save yourself and find another doctor.
Excellent doctor! Very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I enjoyed my first visit and learned a lot. He diagnosed me flawlessly and recommended treatment that met with my approval. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Albright to one and all. A true healer…

Before my knee replacement the pain while standing or walking was almost unbearable, I had trouble sleeping due to waking up at night in extreme pain. My general doctor recommended Dr. Albright, and my questions were answered by him and his team in a personal pleasant way, I was never made to feel they were in a hurry or my questions too trivial. While the first month after surgery (April 2022) was not simple, I am now sleeping through the night and my knee feels 100% better. If anyone needs knee surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Albright!
Dr. Albright was wonderful; professional, clearly highly knowledgeable & emphatic towards my issues. He was concise and on point. Yes, I did throw a dart but I had read up on his schooling/training/experience before landing it!
In March 2019, Dr. Albright's surgery far exceeded my expectations. I, a 67-year old, had an Anterior Left Hip Replacement that started at 7:30am. By 2:00pm, I was home watching TV. The walker lasted 24 hours progressing to a cane. After my 1-week checkup, I was driving around servicing a few of my IT customers though certainly tired at the end of the day. At 3 weeks, I was out doing yard work including mowing my small patch of grass. I have say that being in good shape, not overweight and performing the pre-surgery exercises did improve my recovery. Dr. Albright is certainly inline to do my right hip in the 1-2 years he is predicting. It's now April 2022 and at 70, I'm ready for my right hip replacement. I was expecting at least as good of results as the first. Dr. Albright exceeded even that high expectation. In recovery, I popped awake and was up and walking w/walker down the hall to physical therapy to practice stairs. Home by 3:30pm. At home, I used the walker as an aid to doing laps around the main level at home. I used a cane otherwise. I was progressing much better than with the first hip to the point that I was mowing the lawn 8 days after surgery. I did PT twice a week for 4 weeks. How can I not recommend Dr. Albright for my hip upgrades when I'm in my 90s? In March 2019, Dr. Albright's surgery far exceeded my expectations. I was seen early. Explanations were clear and to the point. I was given plenty of opportunity for questions.
He was very through in explaining what is going on with my knees. Offered different solutions to fix the problem.
He was very personable and explained my situation well. He was willing to work with me as I try options other than surgery at this time. He was easy to talk with and I felt comfortable and reassured.
Dr Albright is a horrible surgeon! I Had a full knee replacement 1 year and 2 months ago and hurts worse now than it did before I had the surgery. Swells daily with unbearable pain Now My Knee is A complete Train wreck!! 5 months of Pt and WaterTherapy too My suggestion to Everyone!! Don’t use Raleigh Orthopedic!! I couldn't be happier with my knee replacement! I am 7 weeks post-surgery and very happy with my results so far. I am already able to do more than I could before the surgery, and I still have healing & work to do. My gait when walking has improved after years of pain and reduced mobility from rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Albright explained my options prior to surgery. He also explained what to expect during the surgery & recovery. I never felt rushed in my appointments and he answered all my questions and concerns. I loved that the surgery center and my physical therapy are also in the same location. Everyone from the office staff, surgery center and physical therapy dept. were so friendly and professional. Dr. Albright has a great bedside manner. I never feel rushed and he answers all my questjons. He knows my history and I don't need to spend time catching him up. Asks pertinent questions about where I am with the PT following my TKR. Highly recommend.
This was a follow-up visit post operative. I had gone through several months of healing, occupational therapy, physical therapy and nursing care. I recovered very well after two leg surgeries, and I'm finally able to walk well without the use of any walkers or devices. I'm very grateful for having such a wonderful and caring physician as Dr. Daniel Albright and his staff, I feel I made the right choice! Ana Twine
My visit was great. Everyone that I saw was very friendly. The wait time wasn’t long at all. I hate needles but the PA did an excellent job hardly no pain. I have no complaints.
I am relatively new to the Raleigh area and was so happy to find Dr. Albright. I had been to another ortho who simply passed me off to pain management which did not help. I left that practice and thankfully landed in front of Dr. Albright. He looked at my previous imaging records, had additional imaging done, and immediately diagnosed the problem and set a treatment plan. I had my hip replaced and today I am pain free, walking without a limp and back to enjoying life. I recommend Dr. Albright and his entire team.

I could not be more impressed. Dr Albright and the staff at Raleigh Orthopedic were great. The information given in the beginning to make you more comfortable helped tremendously. I am back playing golf at just six weeks after my hip replacement. The physical therapy by Jeremy was most helpful and speeds your recovery. Saw Dr Albright who administered a shot for my right knee. We talked about a knee replacement in my future. I told him I'd like to do it during cold months like January so that I'd be able to play golf again in the spring. After I left I realized he must have thought I was a dreamer thinking I could hold out until next January. Oh well - anyway -- good visit with great doctor.

Poor bedside manner and not a good listener. After explaining my inability to sit for more than 20 minutes without excruciating pain for the past 11 months, Dr. Albright told me my total hip replacement hardware looked fine and that there was no other obvious signs of orthopedic abnormalities. He then wanted to refer me to his. Spine interventionist/pain management group for a problem that had nothing to do with my spine. He literally told me that my issue would “burn itself out in 2months or possibly 9 years but I would have the problem when I was 90 years old.” Hardly reassuring to someone who is in chronic pain. Felt very much like clinic was a factory like approach with no sense of how to deliver patient-centered care.
Dr Albright very nice. But needs to follow guidelines. I had to have a second surgery because of his lack of guidelines. Not very caring in regards to what he did

Dr. Albright, was a self-absorbed, self-centered doctor who is so proud that he is a"...SURGEON - I cut people" that he wasn't even interested in the severe pain I was in. No MRI, which is reason my PC physician sent me there in the first place, because he was very concerned about my knee. I wemt into ROC for my knee, in a wheelchair and on oxygen as a 70 years old woman but since he couldn't do knee replacements he lost interest immediately. He said you have severe osteoarthritis with limited motion, (as though I didn't already know that) but he would refer me to the 3rd floor for pain management. Dr. Albright said they give out much stronger medication than a regular doctor will. How's that for responding to the reason I came to ROC. It was because of the pain I was in and Dr. Levin was promised a 3:30pm MRI appointment; It was that my right leg would no longer hold me when I stood up because I fell 3 times over the weekend due tp the severe knee pain. He said I should lose some weight but wasn't interested in my response which was I had lost 110lbs since Nov. 3, 2020 by eating healthy and I only to lose 25 more pounds to reach my ideal BMI for my height. Then he said "maybe you shouldn't live alone?" I told him I loved my apt. and independence and will probably die in that very apt. which is my HOME. I am a very strong willed woman who does everything to run a household. So that's why Dr. Albright gets 1 star!!!! Kathryn P. I have just recovered from my right hip rep[acement at 83 years of age. Dr Albright and his staff did a wonderful job and my recovery was quick and easy. I highly recommend that anyone with a hip issue contact Dr Albright"s office for information. My thanks to them all, Carol Cole
Great visit, Dr. Dan Albright was very thorough, knew the problem instantly and made very good suggestions about going forward. Great BSM, super nice and great personality, so easy to talk with. Came away feeling really good about the appointment and will try PT and Water therapy, his suggestion, as alternative to surgery. Really appreciate his wanting me to try the PT route first. Really great experience!!! Bill Rice
Showed little interest in my long journey of pain and complicated situation. He was not very knowledgeable about my specific genetic bone situation. Did not really seem to want to listen to me either. Just told me he saw nothing for which he could operate on me and that he did not give medication !! Sent me on way. Rather cold in offering little alternatives which I told him I had already tried. Would not recommend. Showed little interest in my long journey of pain and complicated situation. I am happy with my total knee replacement. What they say is true, it is a long recovery. I strongly recommend that the patient has someone staying with them for the first two weeks (24/7) at least. Having someone to help the patient out of bed, go to the toilet, drive to PT, bathe, etc. is very important. Also make the effort to go to PT at least twice a week. Regaining mobility and range of motion is quite important for recovery. My surgery went well, and the follow up visits were easy and efficient. I highly recommend Dr Albright and his team. Dr. Albright replaced my right knee August 5, 2021. From my first meeting with him in June to the present,; my pre-operation preparation and post-operation rehab, my experience has been smooth with the secure feeling that I am in good hands, and my resluts have been almost miraculous. The operation itself must have gone well, but I don't remember any of it. Already my new knee is stronger than my left knee. I am 85 years old, but I expect to be back on the tennis court shortly. It is not just Dr. Albright. His PA Wesley Eagle and the rest of his staff, the Raleigh Orthopaedic staff, the wonderful nurses and staff at Rex Hospital, and my PTs Madispm Franek, Churck Overman, and Rebecca Zhang at the UNC Wellness Center have all contributed to my extraordinary experience. First time appointment for wife's severe knee pain. Nurses and admin staff were very nice and helpful on arrival and during x-ray. We arrived over 30min prior to appointment time as directed, waited over 30min to see a "physician" and never saw Dr. Albright. Instead we get his PA with the bedside manner of a mortician. PA provided very little insight regarding the issue we were visiting for when reviewing x-ray, but then casually mentions an unrelated finding, a potential tumor?! My wife immediately gets upset, so I comfort her and begin to question the PA whose response is to get defensive. We obviously want the straight truth on our health but this man's delivery and reaction to our reaction was completely unprofessional and insensitive. We will be following up with my wife's potential health issue elsewhere. Please note, I did not proactively write this review, we were sent a review request from Healthgrades. Difficult to review Dr. Albright specifically since we did not see him.

MD Albright was very straightforward about what I was going to have done. My total knee replacement surgery was exactly what he said, and he did an amazing job. I did some research on my own to prepare myself ahead of time. The only issue I'm having is the pain as the inside of my knee is trying to knit back together. Many sleepless nights due to the pain, and lightning jolts I get ,throbbing pain as I try to get comfortable in bed. Therapy is going well, I won't stop until I'm back on my feet. The staff and Dr. were all very top notch professionals and I had a great 1st time visit with Dr. Albright. My only complaint was he was running very late. I waited over an hour from my appt. time to be seen. He has a great disposition and answered all my questions.
Efficient and effective. Good information.
an absolute waste of time!!! If I could stop the payment from my insurances I would.
All they staff and doctors were pleasant and thorough. Dr Albright reviewed any concerns I had and gave me options to choose. The physical therapy before and after along with the doctor’s progress reviews were critical in my speedy recovery I highly recommend Dr Albright and Raleigh Orthopedics

Dr. Albright was interested in my knee problem, listened to my questions and answered them professionally and with care. He also gave me good tips for exercising my leg. I highly recommend him.
The appt consultation with Dr. Albright & staff was informative and considerate - not rushed to answer questions or explain procedures. Dr Albright explained the hip replacement surgery from pre-op P.T., the surgery to post-op P.T. I was very impressed with the professionalism of Dr. Albright and the complete staff.
Dr. Albright was extremely knowledgeable and informative and gave practical solutions rather than just ordering an over extensive amount of tests. I found him to be integral and cognizant of the costs of medical treatment to the patient. Would highly recommend.

Filed on line forms prior to appointment. Doctor friendly, thorough, efficient, and on time. Good diagnosis of my knee, no surgery recommended.
First visit following up on an injury and checking previous joint replacement. Good conservative approach, answered questions openly, open and suggested different options. I look forward to working with Dr. Albright in the future and would recommend.
My time with Dr. Albright was good. He listened and answered my questions. He checked my mobility and showed me why he was making his recommendations. My only complaint is that I had to wait in the examining room for 50 min before he arrived. If he can't see patients within 20-30 min he is scheduling too many at one time.

Dr. Albright and staff was very friendly and knowledgeable in their field.
Dr. Albright took the time to fully explained my medical condition.
First visit to this Dr. Personable while doing exam and explanation of issues. Answered my questions and gave a treatment plan with options. Would recommend to other needing Ortho services
Dr Albright answered my questions clearly and explained the medical options. He has a warm demeanor and seems to genuinely care about me as a patient. The staff also deserve top marks: Crystal made me feel welcome and explained each step of my first diagnostic visit, and Crimson and the xray technician were very efficient. I like that the office does not have paper intake forms: they use a tablet and stylus for patients to fill-out paperwork. I recommend using the Patient Portal to complete forms with questions requiring typed answers, especially if you are a good typist (less frustrating using a laptop vs typing on a tablet); however, note that the 3rd party software (MyEzyAccess) behind their electronic forms can lock-up and potentially lose data you have entered (because an error occurs when you try to save the information you provided). Dr. Daniel j. Albright was my surgeon for my Total Hip Replacement that I received and he is the best of the best. He is a gifted and compassionate surgeon and only does the Anterior approach for Total Hip Replacement. No muscles are cut with this surgery and the incision is on the front/side of the hip.
