Dana Jacobs-Kosmin

Dr.Jacob-Kosmin spends time going over blood work, discussing how I am feeling, and making recommendations. She is smart and follows up if necessary. She asks questions and gives me time to respond. I originally went to her to get a second opinion. After meeting with her, I signed on with her for treatment of Lupus. I am comfortable calling her at any time. She always responds.

Dr. Kosmin is a lovely competent, helpful, knowledgeable person. I enjoy coming to my appointments because she is pleasant and helpful. Most of all, I feel that she cares about my struggles and does what ever she can to help.

Dr. Jacobs-Kosmin is hands down one of the best doctors I have seen. She was extremely thorough with gaining my information, case history and reviewing my MRI report. She was caring, and expressed concern for the pain I had been experiencing for so long. She completed a knee aspiration and was straightforward with letting me know what she thought was going on based on what she saw. I felt confident that she is also very experienced and knowledgable. She referred me back to the orthopaedic surgeon and even took the time to call over to his office, to get me an appointment sooner since she knew I was in pain. Even after being so detailed, patient and informative, she took the time to ask if I had any questions and answer the questions I had. I feel like any negative reviews about her were about a completely different doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Jacobs-Kosmin to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, detail-oriented and experienced rheumatologist.

Whereas other doctors may rush through appointments and patient concerns, Dr. Jacobs-Kosmin was just the opposite. I wish I had seen her two years ago (even though this issue didn't end up being rheumatoid related). I wonder if I would have been referred back to ortho then and able to have the surgery I had this week 2 yrs ago, since now I'm being informed that more damage/severe arthritis has occurred in my joint which I feel was caused my a benign tumor that's been in my knee for 2+ years. Like another reviewer mentioned, I also feel like many of these negative reviews were about a completely different doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Jacobs-Kosmin to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, detail-oriented and experienced rheumatologist.

I have great confidence in her diagnosis and treatment plan. She is very respectful of the patient; willing to address any concerns but not wasting any time.

Dr. Jacobs-Kosmin is wonderful. She treats me as a whole person, not just my rheumatoid arthritis. I find her to be very thorough, kind and patient. She listens to all my concerns and addresses them so I understand. I never feel rushed. The office staff are very nice, as well.

Dr. Jacobs-Kosinski has been great every visit for the 3 years that I have been her patient. She is always professional, but also quite pleasant. Her willingness to actually hear what I have to say is a rare quality in my experience. In these times of extreme specialization she is willing to treat the whole person and actually involves my other doctors in making decisions. I highly recommend Dr. Jacobs-Kosmin to any person having stiffness or pain in any joint(s).

Yes, Dr. gave me all the time I needed. I did not feel rushed. She was patient with my many questions and had thorough informed answers. The office staff is always courteous, both on the phone and in person. Everyone has gone above and beyond in applying for medcoverage for medications.

I don't understand the bad reviews. I saw Dr. Jacobs-Kosmin for the first time Nov. 2020 and I was very pleased with her manner, knowledge and willingness to listen to my long complicated history with Arthritis. She provided information I didn't know previously, even though I have seen another Rheumatologist for over 20 years. I'm very happy to recommend her. I only wish I could get an appointment sooner and in the Doylestown office.

The doctor was very thorough and concerned about and for my well-being. I did not feel rushed. I truly felt that she cared about my condition And I was very accommodating of my needs. The individual who checked me in and out was very courteous and helpful

I don’t understand how she is even still practicing medicine she should have her license revoked. I am still in therapy because of the way she treated me and dismissed my illness in the hospital. She laughed in my face and told me I was making up my symptoms even though I was admitted for a G.I. bleed. I wish her office read these reviews as I see a lot of other people feel the same way.

Excellent. Dr. Jacobs-Kosmin thoroughly reviewed my situation and made a recommendation for me to see a specialist at Penn as she was not an authority on my condition. I asked if i should call Penn and Dr. Jacobs-Kosmin said she would as she could get me an appointment faster. 45 minutes after I left her office Penn called me to schedule my appointment. I can not thank her enough for handling my situation with great care and urgency.

This doctor is rude and condescending. Don’t waste your time with her.

I cannot believe how degraded I feel after only my first visit! She spoke to me like I was a child! She disregarded my concerns and fears! She interrupted me several times! I cannot believe she graduated medical school!

I am completely beside myself. I finally work up the courage to see a rheumatologist after fighting these strange symptoms for damn near 10 years. My compassionate primary care physician referred me to a rheumatologist after she took a thorough history. And for what? To be told that I have nothing wrong and that I'm making up my symptoms. She was very condescending and dismissive toward me. She treated me like a hypochondriac. She is not helpful, not interested.

I agree with the other reviewers who found this physician to be utterly condescending and rude. She’s also not nearly as informed as she thinks she is - now I know why there wasn’t a long wait to get an appointment.

Dr Jacobs-Kosmin took my complaints and suspicion of what I thought I had (Bechet's disease) very seriously. She ruled out everything else and treated the auto-immune starting with the most gentle drug and working up to a cocktail that finally helped control my symptoms. She was not my first Rheumatologist but the first one that actually listened and allowed me to have say in my course of treatment.

She does not deserve 1 star. Rude, condescending and should not have interaction with people by any means. I had been going to this practice since the age of 16. I saw her when I was 37 and never returned. The office would not let me see the other provider I had been seeing most of my adult life when I went to schedule a follow up and not see her, unless they all agreed. I hope she has a better doctor then she was to me if she ever needs one.

Like the other reviewers, I too felt as though she was condescending and rude. She just wanted to pump more and more medication into my body without looking at me holistically. When I asked if I could be seen by a different doc within the practice, I was told that I had to request Dr. J-K’s permission first. Needless to say, I left the practice.

After my appointment I was left feeling angry, mistreated and discouraged. Dr. Jacobs-Kosmin was rude and condescending. She had no interest in providing health care and disregarded every symptom that I explained. Not only have I never come across a healthcare professional that was this down right mean but I can honestly say I have never met any person this mean. It is unreal to me that this woman practices medicine. She had no interest in helping me or even treating me like a human being.

Dr. Jacobs Kosman was a great selection of doctors to see. My visits are very thorough and have great benefits. I would highly recommend this doctor.

She is condescending and rude. Doesn't seem to think of a patient as a client, just someone who is an idiot. Has zero empathy. Save yourself the hassle and find another doctor.

I had the first appointment of the day and she was 2 hrs late. The doctor was rude, dismissive and told me I have to just deal with it that I had bad genes. I am not a cry baby and was looking for constructive help in dealing with my arthritis. She has no bedside manner and did not apologize for being late. Her assistant came in an apologized and offered some constructive help for dealing with the arthritis.

All of the negative comments here are 100% accurate. I just moved here from MI, needed a rheumatologist for my lupus and she's sent me away crying. If you have lupus she will GIVE you a flare. She is SO rude, and really downright cruel. She mocks you and your decisions and told me my former doctors must have been idiots. NEVER SEE THIS AWFUL WOMAN.

Do not see this Dr! She is rude and keeps patients waiting for long periods of time. Her bedside manner is no-existent. She pays no attention to your thoughts or opinions. She spend 90 seconds with me and came up with a diagnosis. She looked at me like I was a fool when I explained my pain to her. She is very dismissive and arrogant. She made a follow-up call to me two days after the first appoint and was so rude I was shocked. She has arrogance and attitude but no compassion or caring.

Rudest Doc I have ever seen! Waste of time!!!

Horrendous doctor & staff (Pavillion, in Doylestown). Made me cry. If i had more characters i could explain how inept she is. After my last visit, she had me thinking my symptoms were all in my head (in spite of positive lab results), & i was so depressed & defeated it has taken me 2 months to look for a new rheumatologist. Do not waste your time, money, or health with this useless doctor.

Dr. Jacobs-Kosmin was dismissive, did not seem listen to a word I said, was not interested in my history and was not interested in helping with a diagnosis. She grabbed on to one thing I said, that was not an impt part of my issue, and ran with it, ignoring the main issues. She was rude, very unsympathetic and didn't even say goodbye as she walked out of the appt. I should have listened to the other reviews.

She is one of the rudest Doctors I have ever met!!!! Poor bedside manner (I wish I read previous patients review because they felt the same way) basically said my daughters blood test was wrong and didn't even offer to have a second one done just to be sure it wasn't a false positive....quick to make a diagnosis- one that is not so cut and dry. She is very condescending. Do not go to this woman!
