I went in for a root canal on a tooth that was already diagnosed by my general dentist. I gave Dr. Shapiro a copy of the CT scan that was done in the office. He seemed hurried, agitated & annoyed during the brief appointment and didn't seem to believe that I knew which tooth was causing the pain. After I described the extreme pain I was in, he sprayed the tooth with cold then hot water which sent me through the roof. He became even more aggressive stating that if I was going to continue to "squirm around in the chair" he couldn't help me. His bedside manner is the worst I've ever encountered and he was very rough. He said he could start the procedure but he didn't have enough time to complete it...what? When I asked what he meant he became very frustrated and told his assistant to schedule me for a future appointment. The next available appointment was one month away. Very talented and skilled endodontist. He saw my 12 year old for a second opinion prior to a molar extraction. His staff's professionalism and kindness went a long ways to make my frightened girl feel at ease. Nothing was done prior to a simple explanation that made her feel better during her visit. Not even a few months later, I was recommended to see Dr. Shapiro for a possible root canal for a healthy molar that had a fracture line and was causing unbelievable pain. Although I was worked in, he did a partial root canal immediately to relieve discomfort. This speaks volumes for his level of compassion. He is professional and caring ?

I was referred to Dr. Shapiro by my Dentist, who suspected that I needed Root Canal Treatment. Dr. Shapiro has a very nice Office, extremely clean and welcoming. He has a great office staff as well as assisting staff. They are all very nice, and very professional. The treatment went very well...he has a great hands, as they say. In hope I won't require any future, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to go to Dr. Shapiro!

All I can say is be very careful of Shapiro. I went in to have a root canal retreatment on one tooth, and he ended up working on a perfectly healthy adjacent tooth, not the one he was supposed to work on. He did not have my consent to do this, and he subsequently denied doing it, but medical records show otherwise. Left untreated, the tooth he was supposed to work on has caused numerous complications, including the failure of an implant next to it. This is a endodontist that I had been to in the past. On those occasions his work was good, and I trusted him. Why he decided to cover up sub standard work done by another dentist without informing me, the patient, is beyond me. Shapiro, your oath and priority is to your patient, not other dentists. What you did left me traumatized, and continues to cost me a lot of money trying to fix it. The material that you used on the retreatment of yet another tooth has left my gums in the area sore and inflamed, and the tooth will have to be removed. It took me a long time to wrap my head around why you would do this to me. I even wondered if it was my race, if you would have been more upfront and honest with someone with else. But as the devastation unfolds I will no longer be silent. This is NOT okay. I sat in your chair and trusted you and you thought you could play God and do whatever you wanted without informing me. It is difficult to say something nice about an endo-procedure, but I have to say that Dr. Shapiro and staff get an 11 on a ten point scale. The office is an efficiency machine, dedicated to getting the patient in and out with the least stress (and virtually no pain). Thank you for doing a great job.

So I just had my very first root canal and it was practically pain free. The xrays were the worst part of the whole thing. Going in I was terrified! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the office is beautiful. they follow all COVID procedures if that is something important to you. Even got a follow up call from one of the staff just to see how I was feeling 2 days afterwards. definitely recommend this office and will be going back for any future work. I'm always very nervous when it comes to dental work but I can tell you that during my 2 recent root canals Dr. Craig Shapiro and his staff really made me feel comfortable and I knew right away I could trust them. They are very people-oriented and very understanding. Dr. Shapiro is highly experienced, very talented, and made the whole procedure absolutely painless for me. The doctor and his staff work like a close-knit team which is what you really want to see. They even use a shield around the tooth to prevent you from swallowing things you'd really rather not swallow. LOL. That was a first for me. The cost to me after insurance was also explained so I knew what to expect before I showed up for the procedures. Doc also showed me the x-rays and answered any questions I had. I made an appointment 2 weeks ago and called the day before to make sure everything was okay with my appointment (since I work full time and I am on a very tight schedule), the staff had no idea who I was, what time my appointment was, what tooth I was getting the root canal done. This is extremely unprofessional coming from a dentist office that patients pay a heavy price for. The receptionist called me back and told me "maybe this isn't the office for you" so I cancelled my appointment and made an appointment with an office with more professionalism. At 70 yrs old with a fear of dentists and having never had a root canal, I needed two of them and was terrified to say the least! I cannot praise Dr. Shapiro enough for his expertise and calming manner. The staff was very pleasant and professional.

As an 83 year old man, I was quite nervous about getting a root canal. I had never needed any dental work before. Dr. Shapiro was very kind and reassuring. His bedside manner was very pleasant. When I went for my root canal, I was so scared. Dr. Shapiro explained what he was going to do and said I won't feel anything. He was so gentle that I finally relaxed. I have great trust in Dr, Shapiro. I would not use any other endocrinologist.

My husband is being treated for an infection in a molar. Had a root canal and drainage and his mouth still has a bubble with pus coming out every other day. We’re very disappointed so far as the DR has not prescribed any antibiotic for this. We’re worried that this infection will spread to other areas and possibly blood infection. DR said not possible. WRONG! Infection since at least last November. Husband is sick and overall unwell. His treatment had better change or we will have a huge problem

Will not prescribe pain medication ,even if tormented in pain.Otherwise he is an exceptional technician,although overpriced.
