My visits have been very well explained about everything wrong an what i need to do next , I would recommend dr mc donald to anyone in need he has replaced both of my knees

He did both of my carpal tunnel surgeries and everything went great! He also handed my daughter's surgery when she broke broke her arm. He did an amazing job there too.

Impossible to get ahold of their office. All posted phone numbers take you to the UTMB network instead of the doctor’s office, and you can never get anyone from the actual doctor’s office on the phone. If there was an option to give no stars I would. Took my 4 year old in and left with no clarity. Took a phone call in the middle of his examination, unwrapped my child’s arm/stint and carelessly put it back on. No explanation of what was wrong or what to do next. Then just up and left the room. Disappointed especially coming from the UTMB ER the night before and the staff and Dr. there were amazing! If there was an option to give no stars I would. Went to Dr. McDonald for a knee injury. He ordered an MRI to diagnosis the problem and scheduled surgery. He is very professional and to the point. Office staff is equally as efficient and considerate. I highly recommend Dr. McDonald.

We are out of town and was able to get into this clinic when no one else would see me. They were extremely accommodating for had to do a xray(the only issue was a little confusing when could not reach them on phone so give them a low rating for that) BUT the PA- Brett Baker- was wonderful and appreciate the time he spent with me and direction. Very unprofessional and extremely rude. Walks off and leaves you wondering "are we finished".

Dr. McDonald spent very little time with me, as soon as he exited my exam room, one of his assistants told him to have a nice weekend. He was ready to get the hell out of there. I have torn ligaments that hurt even at rest. The person that administered the cortisone injection told me he would give me something for pain and then proceeded to lecture me on the perils of opioid abuse. I’m an engineer, I’m not a street person or a drug addict. When I move in my sleep I have sharp pains that wake me up several times a night. I am hurting. Short story, after several follow up phone calls, Mcdonald’s office told me that they submitted, then re-submitted, and then re-submitted again the prescription to my pharmacy. It’s been six days, my pharmacy still has no word from McDonalds office. After one more call today, they said, oh no, we submitted something yesterday. Liars. If you have no intention then just say so. I can respect that. But don’t look me in the eye and lie. There is an integrity issue and I won’t be back. Sad thing is I don’t think they care if I don’t return.

I have never felt so lost after leaving a dr office. I wasn't told what to do or how to care for my injury. He slapped me In A boot and walked out. bed side manner was not there. Go find someone who still loves there job because he doesn't.

Did a wonderful job of putting my sons compound fracture together exellant dr. also gave me a shot in my bone on bone authritis on my knee I would not recommend anyone else. He even sent my son to aa wonderful rehab center. It was like a hotel.

After my Great Grand Daughter Going to her Pediatrician since Birth and told nothing wrong finally asked for specialist. Carried her to Dr McDonald he right away saw she had Dyslexia and time was of essence. He personally got on phone and called Pediatric Orthopedic Dr Brock in Houston! Made all arrangements to be seen next day. Spent no time at all with me and disregarded anything I said about my injury. He left the room I was in within two minutes. Decided to get a second opinion the very next day and it turns out that my injury is pretty severe. It is rare that I give a bad review, but he was the most uninterested doctor I have ever seen.

Absolute worst Dr office ever, Staff was rude and made us feel not welcome, Dr was very unprofessional and didn't even explain anything to us, waste of time!

Arrogant. Does not put patient first. Had surgery on dec.18. Seen him on 19th. Not again till i went to him on. Jan 2nd. Took stitch out and left.. Very unprofessional.it has been 4 work days and have not gotten my work papers back yet.

This so called Doctor was a total joke. I was referred to him by inhouse Doctor and I drove about 23 miles to see him all for him to come in the exam room ask questions. Has me get up on the exam table and said he would be right back and sent the nurse in to tell me he cannot see me because it's injuries from a motor vehicle accident. He worked fine with me. Broke my kneecap on February 1 and I had surgery on the 5th. Have good function now with the knee. Many years ago went to him with a broken foot and it was taken care off with a boot to heal.

Horrible. Been seeing him since August 2018 and no change! It’s now 2019. I fired him and now seeing a new doctor!

No conversation, just a shot in the wrong place. Still have the same ailment for a year now. Not to mention a 400$ new patient fee! Don’t waste your time and money at this place.

went to dr office with my wife . The Dr had done a frozen shoulder procedure, she has been in pain for a month. The Dr said the Mri showed no damage . My wife got upset because she hasn't been able to use her arm . The Dr jumps up from the stool and got real weird , I asked him if he could subscribe her something for the pain. I went to him for a shattered tibial plateau and he did a great job of putting it back together. It's been over 22 years and I haven't had a problem with it until this week. I've been very active the entire time. I would hate to go to anyone else.

Dr. McDonald has always been an honest doctor who prefers conservative treatment in hopes of preventing surgery. My husband had a partial tear and treatment included injection and PT - i understand what helps him may not help others - but this was the way to go for us. He didn't need surgery and was compliant when following the PT protocol. End results were amazing with no surgical intervention. Some people want a quick easy fix sometimes all it takes is time. Which he explained to us and we are very happy with the outcome. And grateful he took the conservative approach rather than jumping to surgery. He will be my go to man always. First visit after 4 week proximal phalanx foot fracture. Very disappointing. Long room wait. No interaction. Never attempted to look at my foot. I suggested he should, he took off shoe, Said it is broken/will hurt. My small toe is leaning with a slight twist. He did not unwrap to see the toe or foot. Pain still intense. Told me to come back in 4 weeks if not better..........spent most of his time on the computer. He got up and walked out. .

I have had three surgeries performed by Dr. McDonald, broken arm and two knee scopes. Every time I have been very pleased with the outcome and his time he spent with me.

I went to visit Dr. McDonald and was seen by his PA Brett Baker. He was very thorough and detailed. I left the office feeling very knowledgeable with my problem. I would strongly recommend Brett Baker and Dr. McDonald. The staff was on point and made me feel at home.

I didn't appreciate my first visit to be seen by his assistant. :( The staff seems unorganized and not very helpful. Either they need more help or this just isn't a happy office. But, it doesn't make me want to go back. My first impression was not good at all.

I saw his PA, Brett who communicated very little with me and never got an examination. I suffer from sciatica and came in for an evaluation of my condition. I spent the few minutes of my visit sitting down and Brett never evaluated my range of motion or anything beyond my knee reflex. I was sent down the road with a PT referral and know no more about my condition than before the visit. I wrote Dr. McDonald a letter regarding my substandard treatment and received no response.
