Where do I begin? My sister isn't quite my sister anymore. She's had addiction issue's for quite a few years, trading one substance for the next. I don't live in the same city, but when she visited me, I knew there was a serious issue and the saddest part of all, is not knowing how to deal with it, but most of all...her. She has shut everyone out of her life, literally seems to be surviving at this point, living almost as a hermit, but fooling everyone on the outside. Coming up with grandiose ideas that never ever come to fruition, that is just the half of it though unfortunately, the worst part of all of this is...convincing herself and being convinced that she has ADD, when it is just so much more. It is torturing for all of us and causing such a divide. I could handle her clouded brain on Xanax, but the Adderall is making her aggressive, delusional and most of all, hateful towards anyone that is close to her. She is so sure that she is "happy" but in all actuality, she is alone, chooses to not take on any sort of responsibility, continues to lose weight and is on a complete downward spiral..including mood swings and paranoia. This is really just the half of it. I write this with tears and complete helplessness. I would highly suggest researching the side and long term effects of Adderall. It may work during midterms for "some" patient's.

These people are irresponsible! I was OVERMEDICATED and lost over $2000 paying these jokers to diagnose me and then still had to figure out how to treat my ADD on my own. STAY AWAY. If a Doctor feels the need to broadcast his credentials to justify his off label dosing and atypical methods, it’s a red flag. My PCP was flabbergasted at the amount lol of stimulants they had me on (100 mg of Strattera and 90-120 mg of Adderall IR). When I asked for my medical records they withheld them for MONTHS, dodging my phone calls and blaming it on their airhead receptionist. I had to go to the office unannounced with my husband and intimidate them into giving me my records. It seemed as though they were hoping I’d change my mind, or they were nervous to fax my PCP proof of the ridiculous amounts of medication they had me on. They claim to get to know the whole person, but all Dr.Liden sees when he looks at his patients are dollar signs. Every phone call cost me over $100, and they have a “therapist” that they convince you is specialized but it’s set up to be a middle man to talking to the doctor so they can charge your required card on file multiple times a week. I had so many issues with the high doses, and should never had been prescribed two brand new meds at the same time. These medications made me question my sanity and so emotionally distraught that I couldn’t go to work or function in my daily life. The initial meeting with him was warm when he wanted me to become a patient, but when I did get to talk to him, he was cold and suggested more drugs to treat my severe side effects. I am now taking a very small fraction of what was prescribed, as needed and it’s working well for me. Medication is a very small part of my treatment, accepting my neuro divergence and adapting my lifestyle has been the most effective. Not trying to completely overhaul someone who’s been living undiagnosed with ADD for 40 years by slamming them with a strict high dose medication schedule isn’t the right call. I wish I had never met Dr. Craig Liden. These people are irresponsible! At first The BWC seemed like a godsend. My wife went through a very thorough testing process before receiving her diagnosis of ADD. This was great news because she finally had an explanation for why she functions the way she does. The BWC started her on 2 different medications at the same time, Straterra (SNRI) and Concerta (Stimulant). How do you know what side effects, good or bad, are from which medication? She started on 72 mg of XR concerta, which is the FDA approved maximum dose. She started having panic attacks around mid day after taking the medication at 9 AM. They decided to up her dose to 106 mg every morning. More higher dose of stimulant to remedy panic attacks? She told them Concerta was not working out and she wanted to give IR Adderall a shot since it seemed less anxiety inducing in her med trials. She started with 3, 30 mg doses per day. The FDA Approved maximum daily dose is 60 mg. This drug as a better fit but she was clearly over medicated still, frantically getting as much done as possible and overworking herself, still anxious. She stuck with this dose for a couple weeks and suffered from insomnia the entire time. Their best idea was to add a 4th dose at 10 PM of another 30 mg. STIMULANTS AT 10 PM! That puts her at DOUBLE the maximum daily dose. Obviously, she was unable to sleep or even sit still long enough to lay in bed that night. After that night she discontinued both medications, Straterra and Adderall. After about a week she decided to try 15 mg of Adderall twice per day and no Straterra, so she could tell what the Adderall alone did for her. In total that is 30 mg, half the maximum daily dose, and a quarter of what she was taking under the care of The BWC. The Being Well Center over medicated my wife to the point that she was scared of her own mind for a month. When she expressed concern she was met with a laundry list of reasons why the way they do things is right and the way most other Doctors prescribe meds is wrong. They have a single approach for all of their clients I have talked to, and that is to immediately prescribe over that FDA Approved Maximum Daily Dose. We have been sitting in their waiting for the past hour because after another month of calling them, and our Primary Care Physician requesting her patient information, they have still not released it. We have called a dozen times, left numerous voice mails and been told it will be sent a few times. I believe that The BWC knows they are over prescribing patients and do not want another Doctor to see what they have been up to. This place is not what it seems. They are understaffed, disorganized, and extremely expensive. They haphazardly prescribe Stimulants to their patients and got INFORMED CONSENT based on the bias, propaganda they feed their patients. We spent around $2,000 on this experience and didn’t bat an eye at the cost because they were supposed to be the best at what they do. Our PCP will happily continue my Wife’s treatment once he has her patient records and treatment plan.

Dr Liden is the best doctor I've ever had the pleasure to have been treated by in a number of ways.

I don’t know why some of the reviews are bad. I personally had a good experience here getting diagnosed as an adult, as they look at your entire health history and you as a whole person. It has clarified a lot that has been going on for me my entire life and gives me hope for the future.

My family and I have known about this for decades now. My mother, Aunt, brother, etc... all have had nothing besides a positive experience. These other negative reviews are from people who are upset, and specifically because they aren't getting what they want. I find it frustrating to see how they can be so negative. The environment is perfect, and we all know each other so well. In fact, if it wasn't for them, I probably wouldn't be alive due to suicide. Furthermore, they are the reason I can proudly say I am looking to a bright future. My family and I have known about this for decades now. Stay away. I still have legitimate nightmares about this place and anytime I think of it my heart sinks. I was a "patient" here for upwards of 7 years when I was younger. If you want your child to feel like a burden or an issue and be prescribed ludicrous and unsafe doses of medication then this is the place for you. Craig Liden is a "acclaimed" author and ADHD expert. He is know for having a high success rate in treating attention disorders. After having the proper time to analyze and realize what happened when I was younger I can easily see why he's know for this. His entire method and philosophy revolves around stimulants and increasing them until they work. If there isn't a serious medical side effect it doesn't concern him. I remember feeling like an absolute shell of a child when I was younger because of being prescribed such a high dose of concerta(more than 30mg more than the maximum recommended dosage for adults). To parents they initially see results (Better focus, less issues in school, less hyper). What they don't see are the issues going on with their personalities and possible long term effects. Dr. Liden is very monotone and not great with kids. I remember dreading going into his office because I was honestly scared of him earlier on in my years using him. He doesn't remember anything individually about his patients and bases his assement and progress on a partially molding, mid-eighties matching smiley face binder. While I have no proof or scientific basis to support this but i believe many of the mental issues, and tics I have now were caused by the extreme doses of stimulant. I struggle with day to day tasks because of anxiety and depression which all starting around the time that I visited the "Being Well Center". Please please do not take your kids here. There are many great and caring doctors in the area that are much better than Liden. Avoid this place at all costs.

I was in foster care when I was younger and a family made me go to them. Started on Ritalin at 4 years old and the drugs piled on and on through the years. Until when I was about 15 I wanted to see a different therapist and she said I was on 3x the legal dose for my size and age. Dr. Liden is also a cold person as mentioned in another review and was never ok with discussing how I felt but more so to make me like a project that could be fixed only with medicine. Unethical! In court my pediatric physician testified against his chemical treatment that was at toxic levels creating facial tics. Keeping vulnerable clients sick & desperate caregivers dependent on his service! BEWARE!

They helped us initially with my son, then after the initial 3 or 4 visits, we were just a number and dollars signs to them. All cash practice, and that is thier real passion. So many of original staff gone by the time I took my son elsewhere. They had my son of so much stimulant, he became like a zombie-- and his school said he had autism, but it really was just too much medication. Be cautious. I have been seeing Doctor Liden for about 18 years now. As for how satisfied I am with my own treatment, having recognized his behavior from my own childhood, I have had him evaluated by Dr. Liden.

It wasn't until college that I began to obsess and shut down as more and more tasks/responsibilities/course work were added to my plate. With time, I finally hit a point where I would become so overwhelmed at what I had to do and all the different requirements for each class, that I just gave up.. I broke down and convinced myself I was a failure - and I am NOT a quitter. On paper, I had a 3.74 GPA. So what's the problem right? WRONG.. I was averaging 3 hours of sleep, if that, on a daily basis. I couldn't start an assignment until the night before it was due and working ahead on other coursework was out of the question I couldn't even listen to my classmates talk about other assignments or I'd panic - I could only focus on what was due at the time. These examples don't even come close to the ever growing problems going on in all other areas of my life. It was through my Aunt and cousin that I had heard about The Being Well Center in 2010/2011. I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for that day. What many people do not understand about the prescribed medication for individuals seeking treatment for ADD is that the "guidelines" that are mentioned in some of these reviews haven't been updated in decades and based on outdated studies that go solely on numbers and insurance companies that do not want to spend the money covering the price of a more reliable form of extended release capsules. A PCP can hand anyone a script for adderall and say hey take this - hope it works out for you. At the Being Well Center, the first thing you will learn as a patient is that no medicine is a magical fix for any problem you are having. It takes time, effort, patience, and acceptance that you are going to have to work just as hard if not harder to get your life on track. Yes, you are required to work with the staff members and come into the office to receive any type of treatment. I don't know of any legitimate/professional that would just let you waltz in and pick up a script and go about your business. No, Dr. Liden and all of his team members dedicate hours and hours of their time to each INDIVIDUAL patient and his or her specific needs and they really do help you in every way possible. Most of them are working off hours to make sure all patients are getting the help that they need. They fight on your behalf when insurance companies don't know what you've been going through and don't care to know what brands of medicine have devastating effects on your mental health and deny you the coverage anyway. I can tell you right now it takes time, and it takes money, and it takes being honest and open with these people in order to see a change in your life for the better. After 8 plus years, I still go through my ups and downs, but I also now know more about myself than I've ever even imagined and what I need to do to make sure I continue to stay on the right track. I can say wholeheartedly that my life, after meeting these amazing group of doctors, has been forever changed. Stay away. Keeping patients sick. Manipulated evaluation & overdosing. A money churning business!

I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for all that the staff members have done for me. Dr. Liden and all of his team members dedicate hours and hours of their time to each INDIVIDUAL patient and his or her specific needs and they really do help you in every way possible. Most of them are working off hours to make sure all patients are getting the help that they need. I can say wholeheartedly that my life, after meeting these amazing group of doctors, has been forever changed.

Stay away, they just want your money. They should be able to help a patient within a year or two, don't waste your time or money.

Dr. Liden has been treating a family member of mine for over 10 years. For 10 years there has been no progress BUT worse, there have been several questions raised by our PCP's regarding the amount of medicine prescribed to the family member. We recently found out, that the family member had been prescribed 7x (YES 7) the legal dose of a medicine, resulting in some pretty serious health complications. Would highly recommend patients to procure second opinions if prescribe medications by him. Dr. Liden has been treating a family member of mine for over 10 years. He and his team have changed my life since I started going there! Jane Reck, the Speech and Language Pathologist I go to is a miracle worker! This is the place to go if you are seeking treatment for ADD!

This place has not only changed my life, but saved my life. If it weren't for Jane working diligently to get to the bottom of why my body wasn't working properly, I never would've believed I could feel so healthy and be able to understand how to cope with all the things my body doesn't do that it should. I've never seen another doctor or office who cared so much about the whole person they were treating. They've accommodated me when I lived abroad and made sure I was able to get what I needed no matter where I lived. I am not sure how our family would have survived without the treatment plan and care we have received through The Being Well Center over the past 10 years. I wouldn’t recommend any child to go to him he ruined my life putting me on Ritalin I have sever migraines from taking that crap migraines has started ever since he put me on that junk he told my parents that Ritalin was good for me long term affect are aweful I also have sever anxiety I gained weight the effects are not good parents go to somebody else he uses kids as lab rats

STAY AWAY!

After a year of traveling to Gibsonia, our experience was disappointing to say the least. Dr. Liden's philosophy to treat ADHD is to prescribe alarmingly high doses of medication. The corresponding therapy was not goal oriented and lacked results. Big let down.

Promised to be transforming, poor follow up, disorganized and no supporting medical literature for high dosage that insurance companies and pharmacies would not fill
