Dr. Craig S. Bartlett

Badly fractured hip skiing the ice at Stowe. I was in bad shape, couldn't move, off the scale pain, many miles from home and more than a bit scared. Local hospital, Copley (excellent hospital), could not do the type of surgery I needed. I live in NYC and have had shoulder surgery at HSS. I contacted HSS and was immediately referred to Dr. Barlett who personally called me at Copley, arranged the transfer to U of VM and was both comforting and reassuring and promised I would be back on the golf course in 3 months. Immediately I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Barlett did the surgery on March 14 and after alot of hard work and a trying first month, I am now walking without a cane to work, 2 miles round trip, 2 months after surgery and I'm on track for the golf course in mid-June. Great Surgeon. Good Guy. Explained everything to me, honestly, and came in right after surgery to tell me it all went perfectly. I hope I never see him again unless he wants to be treated at Peter Lugers.

5 stars aren't sufficient !!! I had been a patient of Dr. Bartlett's for over a year due to problems with my left knee. Then in February of 2009, I completely wiped out on black ice and shattered the femur in my left leg. To make a long story short, he operated on my leg 3 different times and if it wasn't for him and his incredible skills, I never would have walked again. I really hope he has a chance to read this, because I want him to know just how awesome he is and how thankful I am to him.. Thanks for saving my leg Dr. Bartlett !!! ??????

Very good experience. Everyone from check in to Dr. Bartlett were pleasant and attentive.

I lived with severe pain in my pelvis for years. I couldn't hike, bike, cross my legs, run after my kids, or do yoga. Since Dr. Bartlett fused my pelvis, I can do all of those things. I am the healthiest I have ever been. I am forever indebted to Dr. Bartlett.

Suffered horrendous comminuted compound fractures of the tibia and fibula and tibial plateau. Brought by ambulance to UVM emergency and luckily Dr Bartlett and his trauma team were there to help, all 5 of them. After stabilizing me, a week later he performed over 5 hours of surgery to put humpty-dumpty back together again! At 2 month intervals he checked healing and explained the progress in detail. He is an extraordinary surgeon! I am fortunate to have him as my surgeon!

I learned of some very serious & unprofessional characteristics of Dr. Bartletts. He also is very self-centered & doesn't care for his patience. It's merely obvious due to how he doesn't include you in explanations. It's very sad.

Best ortho surgeon EVER!! He was able to save my leg after the Florida doctors could not! If you want the best...look no further!

Dr Bartlett is self centered rather than patient centered. He does not believe in patient input toward your care.
