Dr. Courtney G Brown

I stared to see Dr Brown, the first 2 years she send orders for a memogram since I am on remission. Than for the last 3 yrs she stopped sending orders. So the way I see it she didn’t care about me as her patient! I would never recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Brown is an excellent doctor and human being. She was able to explain my health conditions thoroughly, answered all my questions, and provided me with excellent medical advice. Dr. Brown is amazing. Very professional and caring Surgeon. She made me feel safe and comfortable since day 1 up until my surgery. She really cares about her patients and treats them as family. My experience with Dr. Brown was absolutely one of the best when it comes to medical experiences. She exceeded my expectations. Recent appointment with Dr. Brown was very positive. She reviewed my history, discussed the plan for future care, answered all my questions, and encouraged me to contact her if I had questions or concerns before my next appointment. I did not feel the least bit rushed or unsafe; all persons within the office wore masks and hand sanitizer was available.

Having been Dr. Courtney Brown's regular patient since 2017, I had believed her to be capable and informed. So I was shocked to see at a recent office visit on July 15, 2020 that two members of her staff were not wearing masks when in close proximity to me. Afterwards, I called Dr. Brown to make sure she was aware of her staff's behavior, pointing her to where she can view the new City law, punishable by fine, on the internet Though she thanked me for raising my concerns, incredibly she could not assure me that she would follow the directive, which includes requiring staff to wear masks when within 6 ft of others. She did however tell me that she would "consider it". WHAT IS TO CONSIDER? In the meantime, she owes it to her patients to post a note on the door, or otherwise communicate to them that 'THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CHOOSING NOT TO PROVIDE BASIC PROTECTIONS TO OUR PATIENTS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC'.

During a routine office visit to Dr. Courtney G. Brown on July 15, 2020, I observed that she was not following the July 2, 2020 City of El Paso Emergency Directive pertaining to COVID-19, viewable under 'Health Orders' - 'Local Directives' at the epstrong website. For that reason I do not recommend this doctor. Prior to this day, I had been pleased with Dr. Brown's in-depth medical knowledge and personal interest in my well-being as a regular patient of hers since 2017. I was impressed by how she had taken as much time as I had needed to address my questions. So, during this most recent office visit, I was confused and concerned for my own safety since two of her staff, a receptionist and a medical assistant, were not wearing face coverings while talking to me in close proximity. I asked Dr. Brown if she was aware of the City Directive, which is a law punishable by fine, and she seemed to be aware. I then asked why these particular staff were not wearing masks, and she said she was not obligated to answer me. Finally, I asked if she would begin to abide by the Health Directive, which includes posting a Health and Safety policy (she had none). As before, she said she was not obligated to answer, but did say she would "consider it". What confuses me is that, given that Dr. Brown is a doctor, she must understand the science about how COVID-19 is transmitted. Given that Dr. Brown deeply cares about the well-being of her patients, many of whom (by my own observations) are older, why would she act in such a reckless fashion to put their lives at risk?

Dr, Brown is amazing. She takes the time to explain everything and ask if you have any questions. I would recommend her to anybody,

Dr. Brown is such and incredible, intelligent doctor and an incredible kind individual. She made my entire experience from first visit to surgical biopsy as comfortable as possible.

Dr. Brown is a superb surgeon who has compassion and knowledge. Her exceptional skills have benefitted me greatly. completely trust her. Her staff is also kind and caring. I know I’m in safe hands.

1st off the chairs are so hard, knowing that people will b sitting there for a long while. 2nd the older lady in front was rude 2 my mom,(not personable) because she couldn't make the appt. She set up for her... for future reference, tell ur personell to ask "what day would b good for you"? That way you avoid ur staff getting annoyed w ur patients & wasting time. The Dr. Was gr8 though. It's bad enough we have 2 experience this situation w my mom & to add to it just really bothered me! Dr. Brown is excellent! I am a very young woman. I had a portacath and radical mastectomy done by Dr. Brown. She is completely amazing. She explained the process and my diagnoses to me in a way I could understand. Her surgical incisions are clean and small. I had reconstruction surgery out of town and they even complemented her work. She is very thorough. After my experience, my mother got a lipoma removed from Dr. Brown. She removed everything that was problematic and also left a clean incision. One receptionist is very nice and Knowledgeable. The older receptionist, I did have some trouble with appts and her getting my information. Despite that receptionist, everything went well.
