I had a terrible experience here. If you’re looking for a doctor who cares about you and your problems then look elsewhere. Extremely rude staff and a doctor who only cares about making money! Wish I could rate it zero stars…

I've been seeing Dr. M for a few years now. My last doctor just threw pills at me . Dr. M listens and has worked with me to get the right meds. I have never felt emotionally better and more hopeful for the future.

I have been seeing Dr Mackenzie for almost 4 years. He listens to my needs, is always open to changing or trying new medications/dosing and is easy to get a hold of via email to his assistant. I would highly recommend him.

He actively listened to everything I had to say and didn't dismiss anything I said. He actively participated in the entire session. He was very patient with me and helpful when trying to remember past medications and when answering tough questions, etc. He is very nice very helpful.

I’ve been seeing Dr. MacKenzie for a few months now and I’m pleased with the service and care I’ve received from him. It’s hard to reach out for help and I’m so glad I was able to find someone who could listen to my problems and offer a solution. I've been seeing doctors and psychiatrists for years for addiction and I've never met anyone as thoughtful, patient, and accessible as Dr. MacKenzie. He's strict with his treatment protocol, but that is what I needed to get clean and stay on course. Don't know where I would be without him.

I have seen Dr Mckenzie for about 10 years now! He is one of the best I have ever had. Incredibly intelligent and personable. He shows much compassion. The most important aspect of his many abilities is his knowledge of appropriate drugs for treatment. He is very very up to date. He help s me transition from a long time drug to another and I have been grateful to him for that. I highly recommend Dr Mckenzie!!!!

Dr. MacKenzie is awesome. I have suffered from an addiction problem and depression for years. With his help, I am really improving. He seems like he really CARES and I am so happy I am seeing him. He has a website that can be used to message him and his office secretary is super helpful when I need something. This practice is great.

Dr. MacKenzie has been treating me for bipolar disorder. This is a very difficult disorder to treat - but I am SIGNIFICANTLY better because of his treatment. I highly recommend this physician. excellent doctor.

DR. MACKENZIE IS A VERY GOOD DOCTOR. HE TREATED MY DAUGHTER FOR ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION AND SHE IS MUCH MUCH BETTER NOW AFTER HE PRESCRIBED MEDICATION AND THERAPY FOR HER.I AM SO HAPPY WE WERE ABLE TO SEE HIM. HE'S EXCELLENT

Listened very carefully then did nothing. He provided no advice, no follow up and no medication or psychotherapy. His website iscset up great to tske payment easy but you'll be left wondering why you paid up front. He looks compassionate and you look forward to the appointment bu don't be surprised you are still in despair and without needed care.

Dr. MacKenzie is a dad himself so I think he REALLY cares for the women he treats. He is a very good person and he is really helping me deal with anxiety and depression issues that I have had all of my life. I highly recommend him to anyone who is in a similar place. He has started me on medicine that has helped GREATLY. He seems like he really cares.

Dr. MacKenzie's experience, expertise and gentle bedside manner helped turn my life around. I suffered from an extreme case of bulimia for thirty four years and he is the first psychiatrist who believed in me. He did not give up until he found the right med combination. I have been healthy for almost two years now and he deserves all the credit. He does not believe in over prescribing meds which may leave a person in a zombie state and incapable of feeling. He is simply wonderful!!

Dr. MacKenzie is very thorough in listening to your needs, and what your goals are. He is very knowledgeable and thorough in making sure things are explained in a way that makes sense. Also, scheduling/billing are a breeze on the website.

MacKenzie's committment to the Hippocratic Oath is tenuous, at best. Despite our conversations that focused on depression and impulsivity, he diagnosed me w/BP-NOS, and, during a period of extreme depression, took me OFF of lithium & replaced it w/Depakote, which worsened my depression to the point that I was having suicidal ideation for only the second time in my life. I was advised to continue taking Depakote when I reported the side effects at a follow-up. Dangerous and irresponsible.

Dr. Mackenzie is a wonderful doctor. He has been taking care of me for almost three years now and I find him to be attentive, intelligent, helpful and very caring. I am also impressed with his knowledge and how he takes the time to explain things to me, not all doctors are like him. This is how all professionals should strive to be. I would recommend Dr. Mackenzie to family and friends or anyone who needs the help of a wonderful doctor.

It's easy to get an appointment scheduled .. they have a website that you can use to schedule yourself. You can also message the doctor through this site. I like the privacy of this. Office is easy to find in Overland Park.

Dr. MacKenzie is really good at pin pointing what is wrong. He allows me to talk and he spends time analyzing what I've said. He prescribed medicine that is helping me quite well. He has a website that I can send messages through. And his office manager is very nice on the phone and makes me feel important.
