Dr. Christopher D Momot

On Sunday 1/15/23 I called my doctor's office knowing that it was closed and I would get the answering service. I had started an antibiotic the previous day and within 6 hours aleady had a very uncomfortable Y.I. It was my hope - and expectation that the on call physician would provide a prescription for Diflucan. The answering service person was kind and understanding. When I got the call from dr. momot, he was immediately impatient and dismissive. I was in agony, my feelings were hurt by being spoken to that way when I needed medical care, and I was angry. He suggested I wait until Monday when my doctor's office would be open. Monday is a holiday and the office will not be open until Tuesday. I was in tears at this point, knowing I wasn't going to get the help I needed. Regretfully, I called him a rude name and hung up the phone. He then left a visit note for my doctor: "ON CALL: Patient calling with pelvic discomfort, pressure in the vaginal area and possible yeast infection versus UTI (WHAT?! I told him I had a yeast infection. That's it. There was no discussion about my symptoms) "I advised the patient to contact the ON Demand video service for an evaluation in the morning or possibly take over-the-counter Monistat for possible yeast infection. (More lies. He said nothing of the sort. Aside from that, I am on SSD and have no money to buy OTC products, which is why I took this route) She called me a "useless piece of shit" and told me that I was "a dude" and therefore did not understand her symptoms. She hung the phone up on me and that was the end of the call so she did not give me an opportunity to discuss her symptoms further. (His hurried tone made it clear he just wanted to get off the phone. He did not want to discuss my symptoms further.) I have no idea why she was so abrasive on the phone." No idea? I was fine until he went off about "this is an EMERGENCY line, so..." As far as I'm concerned, this was an emergency, and any woman who is unfortunate enough to experience yeast infections might agree. Do you know how it feels to be treated with impatience by a doctor? P.S. for dr momot, I'm 60 years old and have had numerous yeast infections and UTIs. I know the difference. Learn to be respectful.

Dr. Momot is the absolute best physician! He is very caring and extremely thorough with all of my exams. I trust Dr. Momot with my life!! Hoping my young adult children will join his practice in 2022! Thank you , Dr. Momot!!

He is very attentive and listens. His nurse and the staff have gone above and beyond to help me when immediate care was needed in the office and in making outside urgent appointments for me.

Excellent diagnosis and recommendation from the nurse practioner in the office. I had my doubts, but as my mother in law saw more health care professionals, ALL of her intuitions proved true. She even had my mother in law draw her a picture. Excellent care.

He is the kindest doctor. I'm very lucky to have gotten in with him.

Had issue with some nurses being rude giving false information not helping patient when they are upset and confused. I’m not going to accept letter from doctor who disrespected customers when they fully don’t know the truth. They only hear one side. They don’t speak to customers find out the truth and why or how the customer is upset about. I will not doctor fully accused me when the front desk and some nurses act unprofessional and disrespectful to customers. Dr Momot nurse who has taken excellent care of me I will send Ltd of excellent and professional manner

Dr. Momot is phenomenal - it took me twenty years and 6 doctors to find the primary care doc I was truly comfortable with. Only drawback (and it's a big one) is that he is out-of-network for my BCBS insurance, which gets very expensive very quickly.

Love Dr. Momot. Professional and courteous , always asks how the fishing and hunting are going.

My doctor is Dr momot and he is the best doctor there me and my son just love him and the staff are amazing

My daughter and I see Dr. Wise, she is always helpful and if either of us need to see her she makes time to come in the same day.

I love it here. Dr. Momot is great, I highly recommend this office and very much recommend Dr. Momot, he is the best!!

I ended up seeing Dr. Momot because my regular doctor was on vacation, I found him very understanding and thorough. He went out of his way on his own time to get back to me almost 24 hours earlier than he promised with some results. I have always found everyone I deal with at Penfield Family Medicine to be great. Thank you!

Dr Momot is my primary care physician and I really liked him but his office was very unhelpful regarding my allergy. I developed contact dermatitis to lip care products, my lips swell and get dry and flaky. I went to urgent care the first couple of times and they said most primary care Drs would just give me another prescription for prednisone if this happened again so I wouldn't have to go in yet again to an office. Well, not Dr Momot according to his secretary. He would make me come in to see him. Needless to say, I am looking for another primary physician! Dr Momot is my primary care physician and I really liked him but his office was very unhelpful regarding my allergy. I see Dr Wise. If I need to see you her immediately, she squeezes me in. She listens to what I have to say and looks for the best treatment options for me. Her nurse, Paula is great. She always treats me like I've been going there forever. It's only been a year since I've been in NY. She also looks out for what's best for me. I appreciate the care I'm given when I'm there. They truly have great compassion and knowledge for their jobs. I see Dr Wise. If I need to see you her immediately, she squeezes me in. Christopher Momot is one of the finest PCPs I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is at once, professional and efficient and he is the most caring physicians I have ever been to. He is also persistent. If he is not satisfied with what the tests tell him, he will keep tight on until he has the answers. If I have questions (and I am one of those who questions a lot) he will take the time to explain things so I, as a layman, can understand the answers. I praise him to all the people I know and, when I tell them of my experiences with Chris Momot, they tell me I am very lucky to have such a caring professional. I have praised him to other physicians and to people as far away as California (they are jealous of me). Thank you, Dr. Momot.
