Dr. Christopher M Mcpherson

Do not have surgery with this person. He is very unprofessional and very uncaring. After my surgery he did not come to see me, and he never called to see how I was doing. I have tried numerous times to talk with him about the pain I still experience, he will not listen and does not care. I am now seeking care with another surgeon that is more qualified and competent. Because of his mistakes I now am having another surgery. Look at reviews elsewhere of this Dr., they are not good. They must take down the bad ones on here!

You should look at the calls your employee Staci makes to your patients. I was referred to you by Bethesda. I don't have a Primary Care Doctor. I'm a single Mom working two jobs. I have not been able to turn my head in 2 years. He did a great job with me. He was personable and I have minimal scaring after my craniotomy. He even saved most of my hair! He called me back writhing a minute on a weekend when I was worried. Definitely a good doctor and saved my life!

I was referred to Dr.McPherson by a close friend that knew I was scheduled to see a Nero surgeon in Kettering that wanted to perform a different style that was said to possibly limit my movements so I scheduled a visit with Mayfield and the rest is history! Dr McPherson has to have hands and manor blessed by God and I don’t say that lightly! I feel lucky and so blessed to have put my faith trust and well being in His hands! 2 weeks out so I’m still on the mend but I already know it was a success! If you are on the fence with another Doctor I tell you to get a second opinion with Dr. McPherson! I don’t think there’s a better Nero Surgeon on the planet! He was exceptionally accommodating, honest, and willing to answer questions. He also relieved some of the worst pain I've ever been in and that's worth a lot more than 5 star review to me.

Dr. McPherson saved my quality of life. I had bounced around to doctors all over cincy, all while my symptoms got increasingly worse. I was directed to go back to the ER by my orthopedic doctor. Assuming the neurosurgeon would send me away with pain meds and a referral just like the last time, it was exactly the opposite. Dr. McPherson looked at my MRI and spoke to me personally about how the pain was effectively destroying ever aspect of my life. He still took the time ti go over with me the risks and other options for me especially being that I am only 22. But after in dept discussion we decided TOGETHER that surgery was my best option. And since my surgery the pain i went in with has vanished. Im only left with nerve damage that could have gotten worse had the surgery been pushed off longer. His bedside manner is great, and he is very professional while being personal at the same time. If i could rate my experience with him and his office post operation i would be giving 10 stars. If i could give 0 stars I would. Please, do research and do not seek any care under this neurosurgeon. He is unprofessional and has awful bedside manner. Due to his mistakes I have had to go get another opinion and 2 more surgeries.

I have had surgery by Dr. McPherson in 2010. There have been 2 times I have needed to see him since that surgery. Dr. Mc Pherson has always had good communication skills and explains things to insure understanding. He has always been pleasant and kind. I have had physical therapy at Mayfield Brain and Spine in the past few weeks. The 2 physical therapists who worked with me were excellent. Audra Roden & David Stover. They were so knowledgeable and kind. Thank you!

Do not choose this surgeon. He is rude and unprofessional. He does not do what is in the best interest of the patient. There are much better choices out there. Wants payment upfront for surgeries as well.

Absolutely wonderful Dr. McPherson would refer anyone to him! He was very kind and thorough with his explanations. Felt very comfortable thru the whole process. I am so thankful to feel as good as I do 2 weeks out from surgery!!!

Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with my visit to Mayfield. I never even got to see Dr. McPherson, but instead I had to meet with the PA for the interventional pain specialist. The PA, Sean Lynch, was cold and cut me off several times. I was not given an any answers about my severe back and leg pain. They suggested that I get more injections, after I have already had 5, that failed to provide relief. Now I'm stuck living in severe intractable pain everyday, with no answers. My insurance was billed over $500 dollars for a visit with Dr. McPherson that I never had. Then I was billed $300 for the visit with the PA. They told me nothing that I didn't already know. The staff there seemed like they didn't care about the patients at all.

Dr. McPherson is amazing!!! I suffered from severe back pain for 8 months. It got so bad I couldn't even work. I was shuffled around from doctor to doctor with little to no relief. I tried a ton of different medications and therapies. NOTHING helped. I went to Mayfeild and they were the first place I felt took my condition seriously. Dr. McPherson and Gerald Brown were understanding, knowledgeable, patient and professional with their care. Dr. McPherson performed my surgery and other than the pain from surgery recovery which was minimal I was healed instantly. I am so thankful it makes me emotional thinking of it. To finally be able to live life again and he there for my husband and kids is a feeling I can't even describe. If I could give 20 out of 5 stars I would. Dr. McPherson is amazing!!! My husband went in to see Dr. McPherson for a mass in his brain. Dr. McPherson was able to see us quickly, helped us develop a plan of attack, and give us a diagnosis and next steps to move forward. He was very warm and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend him to family and friends!

I just saw DrMcpherson. He did brain surgery about 13 years ago on me. Despite the severity of it, the results were great. No problems. I just saw him for a severe lower back (he does backs also) He went through everything and answered all questions. He Decided to wait on surgery when he could have cut immediately. Super guy then, super guy now (but with more experience LOL) I would go to no one else!

When he realized he couldn't make money off of me, he rushed through my appointment. Talked fast, gave me clipped responses. Couldn't take an expression as sarcasm and overreacted.
