First visit was very promising but follow up visits were poor . He had no interest and turned out to be of little or no value. I had to get a new primary Dr.

Dr Heitzman is excellent but his clerical staff is terrible

He’s very thorough, much like a medical robot that will offer advice without actively listening and zero empathy.

Dr. Heitzman is no longer at the address listed for him. He is now employed by Atlantic Health and his office is at the Rockaway Mall. He shares an office and office staff with an Urgent Care. The receptionist he had when he was in Randolph left Atlantic Health. So now when I phone in to make an appointment I get whoever is manning the phones for the Urgent Care and his office. I miss the days when he had a dedicated receptionist who knew me and my family.

This doctor happens to now reside in a new office building of 2 “other” much more competent Drs. of mine. I saw him at his Randolph location only to eventually discover how arrogant and rude his horrible staff was and he totally lacked a bedside manner that he needs to go back to the substandard UMDNJ school for! He doesn’t allow a patient to talk or input valuable medical info nor did he seem to take me seriously! He gave more attention and only cared about his lousy laptop and less about me!

I have been seeing Dr. Heitzman since he first began in private practice. He is the most thorough doctor. After many years of suffering and doctors telling my I was a hypochondriac I was diagnosed with MS due to Dr. Heitzman believing and never giving up until there was a diagnosis. He manages my care so well with the other specialists and always listens and believes you. He takes the time necessary and is not afraid to tell you he isn't sure, but always searches for the answer.

If you don't get Dr. Heitzman = DON'T GO!!! You would be better served looking into mirror and self-diagnosing. Seems other drs. are unable to do anything. Mine diagnosed me with what I told her I did have, then advised me she can't do anything anyway and see my primary dr. - WHICH IS DR. HEITZMAN. All this, and explaining symptoms to receptionist who tod me I could see any dr. there. YOU CAN, BUT THEY CAN'TDO ANYTHING FOR U
