Dr. Christopher Joseph Cuomo

Cuomo needs to quit. Worst experience in a dental office in my life. Excruciating needle and he knew I wasn't numb and didn't let up. He wanted me out. He acts as if he hates you the second you walk in. No bedside manner, and your dental fears will skyrocket when you meet him. His loathing for his profession is a disgrace. He has no compassion, no skill, and no business being in a medical field. Chris, you need to reassess why you're even in the practice anymore. Had you shown even 1% of friendliness and compassion or had you cared about my pain level while you were prying my tooth out, maybe I'd remember you for more than "the neighborhood butcher."

Just extremely competent and professional. The quality of work is top notch and Dr Cuomo takes the time to walk you through your procedure and follows up once he’s done.

The Carmel office reflected the absolute worst experience a patient could endure from a front desk of nasty women who think it is appropriate to gang up on a patient, you know the one who is seeking treatment, is possibly in pain and pays your salaries. Dr. Cuomo is actually a very pleasant and experienced oral surgeon , but has no clue as to what is going on out in his front office. Since you sold your practice to this non-patient focused company, you lost your purpose and forgot your oath; “warmth, sympathy and caring may outweigh the surgeon’s knife...” Do you think being humiliated by a bunch of disrespectful, ill equipped group of poor communicators achieves that purpose? They let you enter the office without acknowledging you (ok rude), question you - no interrogate you like you shouldn’t be there, then expect you have read their minds as to what you should know about their procedures. When you seek to understanding of those procedures you are attacked with redress and chastised. When my new dentist requested my files, they were also met with the same level of disrespect. To all who work at NEOS, you should be ashamed of yourselves. To prospective patients, unless you enjoy what I just described - stay away from this practice as I surely will. My son had a consultation in May 2021 for 4 wisdom extractions to be done in June. Staff & Physician were nice and friendly. But unable to get ANYONE to give me a ballpark figure cost for procedure. It was very frustrating to say the least. Got the run-around on who to ask. Requested a Patient Care Coordinator call to discuss. Was never received. 3 weeks after the visit, still had no info. Doctor Office stated they submitted an “electronic” pre-authorization, but I confirmed with my insurance company one was never received. I almost had to cancel surgery. The person responsible for getting “authorizations," was at the last hour trying to get a verbal approval. And that was because I was pressuring them I would cancel. Literally, the approval was accomplished at 4:40PM, minutes before the both Offices closed on a Friday. This could have been a great experience, had it not been for the “ball-dropping” that was done determining insurance coverage/cost.

The staff at The Northeast Implant & Oral Surgery,Danbury were very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful staff and the doctor was very knowledgeable.He explained everything about my condition and what he is going to do to me.

Had two teeth removed yesterday. No pain after or the following day.

We had a great experience with Dr. Cuomo. We’d highly recommend him and this practice.

I was originally scheduled for general anesthesia, however, due to a cold and my breathing, Dr. Anthony Cuomo would not recommend that procedure until my cold subsided. We discussed local and laughing gas as an alternative for the extraction of teeth which had decomposed. I am prone to anxiety with these procedures, but he suggested he could numb the areas, give me laughing gas and take one tooth at a time and see how I felt about the second. Dr. Cuomo and the hygienists were calming and reassuring. So I went for it and I am so happy I did. It was his patience, allowing me to contemplate and the reassurance that made the experience wonderful! Or as wonderful as tooth extraction could be. After reading a couple of these reviews, I just had to share my experience at this office! Dr. Cuomo and staff are the best around! The staff is friendly, informative and they made me feel at ease. Dr. Cuomo has the best bedside manner I have ever experienced. He was calming and very easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend this office to my friends and family! Dr. Cuomo and the entire staff are excellent!!!! Everyone there is extremely friendly and seem to love their work. Oral surgery is not much fun but Dr. Cuomo makes it painless. He explains fully whatever procedure you are having done, and you never feel you are being rushed through so he can get to the next patient. Dr. Cuomo was my second opinion and so glad I went with him after seeing another oral surgeon. Dr. Cuomo and the entire staff are excellent!!!! Had two wisdom teeth removed with local anesthesia only due to my vertigo. I was afraid going under would have negative effects for me. My Experience with Dr. Cuomo honestly could not have been any better. He was accommodating, quick, and I was never in any pain whatsoever. I never write reviews online but this place absolutely deserves a 5 star review. This is the best oral surgery practice I have ever been to, by far. It was an all around wonderful experience getting a back molar extracted by Dr. Chris Cuomo; both he and his entire staff were excellent. Zero pain during the extraction, very minimal pain the following day and zero swelling. I had a back molar extracted at a different dental practice a few months ago (which was the same exact molar on the opposite side), and it was awful in comparison to the extraction performed by Dr. Cuomo. At first I was very nervous to get my wisdom teeth extracted, but during both my consultation and the day of my surgery, Dr. Cuomo was very kind, sympathetic and made me feel as ease. I was comfortable with both him and staff and they were happy to answer the many questions I had. I was comfortable with both him and staff and they were happy to answer the many questions I had. Dr. Cuomo was also very thorough with my post-op check up and re-assured me that everything was as it should be. He is a great oral surgeon and overall excellent!

I seen Dr. Cuomo 2 years ago for a tooth extraction. He as fast & painless and explained what do post extraction. Home recovery was minimal to none. Staff/office & assistant was very friendly & helpful. I need another extraction and Dr. & office is my first & only choice.

I cannot speak to Dr. Cuomo's competence in oral surgery, but I can speak to his bedside manner and compassion as a medical provider, both of which were exceedingly poor. He did not reassure me or acknowledge the pain I was in whatsoever, and was at times flat out rude. I do not appreciate being treated as if I am unintelligent or that I am exaggerating my pain. He gave no clear recommendations for how I should proceed, and showed far more apathy than empathy.

I went to Dr. Cuomo’s practice on 11/28/17. My appointment was for 10AM. I was instructed to arrive at 9:45AM by the receptionist the day before to complete paperwork as I was new to their practice. I was a referral to their practice from my dentist. I arrive at 9:45 and fill out their paperwork. I was a little concerned about the over aggressive language of the billing paperwork, but eventually put it aside as a practice being for profit and at the end of the day they are well within their right to do so. I completed the paperwork and began to wait. Forty Five minutes later I was told I would see the Dr. in a few minutes. I was brought in a room in the back and directed to sit in a chair. Fifteen minutes later (1 hour past my scheduled appointment time), no visit from the Dr. Frankly, I felt marginalized. I feel like if my time is not important to them, I can go see someone else. I got up, and I walked out. I decided to call my referring dentist’s office manager on the way home and let her know just what they referred me to. The office manager said that Dr. Cuomo’s office just called them and wanted to know why I left! I was shocked. Why would they call my dentist to find out why I was unsatisfied, why wouldn’t they call me? This just lets me further know that when it comes to Dr. Cuomo and his staff, you are not a patient, you are a number. I can’t help but get the idea that the office staff is instructed to overbook and the physicians try to fit everyone in. Dr. Matton removed all four of my wisdom teeth. I had an incredible experience at this office with both him and the staff. Dr. Matton was very knowledgeable and informative. The procedure was extremely quick and virtually pain free throughout the healing process. All the staff were very kind and informative.
