Dr. Christina Orr, MD is an extraordinary doctor. Not only is she a great endocrinologist, but she also listens closely and patiently to everything I say and she provides excellent guidance and suggestions on dealing with my health related issues. A patient knows when they have an exceptionally smart and caring doctor ~ and Dr. Orr is both of those. Plus, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from medical school ~ which is a STRAIGHT A AVERAGE!!!! Truly extraordinary! In addition, Dr. Orr's staff is very professional and pleasant. The entire team of professionals in Dr. Orr's medical practice provide expert and considerate care to their patients. It is what everyone hopes for in a physician's practice. She has helped me quite a bit. She is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. She genuinely cares about my health. I can be stubborn, and she manages to get through to me. She's amazing. She takes all the time I need and thoroughly explains everything. She is concerned about my overall health, not just my diabetes.

She almost killed my husband, and when she finally realized her mistake, she couldn't have cared less. My husband found out he's type 1 diabetic at 34, but likely had it since childhood. Throughout his life he's been extremely active, exercise reduces blood sugar levels, so Drs were confused. His primary care Dr referred him to Dr Orr, who gave my type 1 husband a med for type 2, no insulin. We kept track of everything he ate & scores, his numbers went from the mid 100's to 2's, 3's, into the 400's, he had severe chest pain (med is now pulled due to heart attacks), we called daily trying to find out why she's giving him med for type 2, telling her his scores are through the roof, chest pain (even heard her say "what the "F*^$" does he want now") then she told him to DOUBLE HIS DOSE! I told him to stop, he did, scores plummeted and pain stopped. Weeks later we finally got an appt., she looked at his log & meter and said "I guess I won't do that again"...no apology, compassion, nothing!

I have seen Dr. Orr a couple times over the last 4 years after being diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I have been very disappointed with my appointments with her - I feel that I'm being rushed through an appointment without any of my concerns being addressed. After 8 weeks of waiting for an appointment, all that was done at my last appointment was a lab test to check my thyroid levels - I get those twice a year through my primary. Her only goal was to address whether my dosage was too much, even though she acknowledged that my level of dosage has no effect on my symptoms. I asked if there was anything other investigative tests to figure out what may be causing an issue and she said no. I didn't feel that there was any concern for my wellbeing and she was ready to get on to her next appointment. I understand that they are busy but this level of care is incredibly disappointing. My hope is to prevent anyone else to have a similar experience. Avoid Dr. Orr if possible.

Very impersonable. Hardly looked at me during my new patient exam. Did not appear to have even reviewed my chart or history prior to my appointment. Difficult to reach with questions. Minimal concern for what is currently bothering the patient and doesn’t help find a solution/cause. Save yourself the time and pick a different doctor if you want someone to actually care for you!
