Dr. Christina Terese Gentile

This is for Dr. Gentille and Dr. Chang. I’ve seen +12 GI physician over the last 4-5 yrs before UCLA. Nothing helped my severe gut problems and I also had intense anxiety attacks. Dr. Chang and Dr. Gentille got me to a healthier place in less than 1 year. I now know how to live with IBS and not fear it. They listened, came up with a plan, and helped me learn to tackle my symptoms with holistic remedies. To Dr. Gentille and Dr. Chang, you are very remarkable and thank you for all you do for the “difficult” patients like me that other doctors give up on.

Initially, I was hesitant to meet with a psychologist for my IBS, GERD, and food allergies. But once I met with Dr. Gentile, I was kicking myself for delaying the process. I’ve only had two visits and feel some relief with the things she taught me. I’ve seen other psychologists, and she is different (in a great way)! I felt instantly understood with what I always struggled to describe and she explained some complex stuff (that was fascinating to learn) in a easy way - I felt like I was talking to a trusted family or friend. I know I have a ways to go, but Dr. Gentile helped me see how I can approach my health in a new way and because of her, I feel ready to also meet with their nutritionist.

I've had a few appointments with Dr. Gentile at UCLA. My GI symptoms are becoming more manageable and I've been able to eat more food and go to more places without so much anxiety about my GI issues acting up. I am really happy with my treatment with Dr. Gentile and I am happy my doctor recommended I try GI psychology.

I met Dr. Christina Gentile at the UW Health Digestive Health Center. I was so sad when she left & unfortunately I havent found anyone like her at the UW who knows how to treat GI issues. Dr. Gentile assisted me in managing the life-changing issues that I've had to deal with and helped me manage my phobia of needles (I have to give myself shots). Because of Dr. Gentile, I feel better than my old self and have confidence in living life to the fullest despite my chronic disease.

I saw Dr. Gentile at the Digestive Health Center at the University of WI. In my first appointment, she gave me some great tools to use at home. I felt at ease talking about my stomach symptoms with someone who can understand and see how it impacts my daily life and relationships. She helped me think of positive ways I can contribute to my health while living with chronic gastrointestinal and food allergy issues.

Dr. Gentile has been an asset to my healthcare. She is highly skilled in working wth Crohn's disease and other digestive disorders.
