Dr. Charles William Vokac

Visit for excruciating lower back pain. I was not taken seriously and sent home with no further instructions. Ultimately, upon finding a group that was willing to help, it was determined that I needed surgery for a pinched nerve. This was my worst experience with a doctor ever.

Dr. Vokac is an excellent doctor for spine issues and pain management. I highly recommend him for examining and treating spine issues. He takes time to listen and gives you informed options moving forward. He was the one to recommend me to a colleague at the practice for a treatment that has reduced my pain for many many years! Thank you Dr. Vokac, I appreciate all you've done!

Great doctor with the best Ortho practice in the area. He is patient, very professional, and continues to work with me on resolving my back and hip pain. He is very good at listening and working towards a resolution. Can't say enough good things for this doctor and others in Ortho Virginia.

Dr. Vokac himself was great. He explained everything he was doing and made it easy for us to understand. The wait wasn't terrible. If I had a complaint, it would be playing phone tag trying to schedule the appointment. Despite leaving messages with specific times to call it was frustrating to spend 2 weeks leaving and receiving messages to schedule my time.

This was my second visit for my neck (the last visit was two years ago). I liked Dr. Vokac’s calm and knowledgeable manner, and he listens well. He also looks you in the eye when he speaks with you. He created a plan that utilizes my insurance to relieve nerve irritation, muscle weakness in my arms, and spasms in my neck/upper back (I’d been paying a network chiropractor out-of-pocket). I referred my mom to him for her neck, and she also liked him very much. I was registered immediately at the front desk, and quickly taken to a room for more input, then waited about 30 minutes for the dr. All in all, I was oin and out in 45 minutes.

He was late, pompous with poor ability to relate to patient's urgent problem, spoke more than listened to the problem.

Dr Vikac took time to explain the EMG test he was going to run on me and talked to me about the test throughout the entire process. Once it was complete he told me the results along with an explanation of what he found. Something very rare with procedures in today’s time.

Dr. Vokac Because of my rare condition Dr. Vokac did the proper knowledge research, X-rays and referral in providing treatment. Not prescribing narcotics for pain and sending me on my way, and I thank him for that.

I have already recommended him to 4 people that have used him. I went this last time for back pain. Visit went well.

Dr. Volcano was attentive, knowledgeable and concerned. He thoroughly reviewed all treatment options.

Dr. Vokac is knowledgeable and has demonstrated skill proficiency in administering epidurals and making diagnoses. He has good bedside manner and is quick to refer you to another doctor who can perform procedures that he does not. I have referred my husband and mother to him and am very satisfied with their treatment plans. His staff is patient, as is he, and cordial. Great Doctor! Gave me clear and concise information on my injury.

He is an excellent doctor that cares and takes time to answer his patient concerns.

I have had no problem scheduling an appointment and have always been seen in a timely manner. He has been very attentive to my complaints and has worked closely with me to resolve my issues. He is willing to focus on pain management, which is my goal, without having surgery.

I made an 8 am appointment so I could see him early and get back to work figuring first appointment of the day would be on time. I waited 25 minutes past my appointment time with no explanation. My time is valuable also.

Not much good I can say about him. I went to him...because I had dealt with Ortho VA for years.... Dr Ayers was excellent and Dr David Nedeff did both my knee replacements. Great results with both. Great doctor patient relationships. Vokac had the bedside manner of drying paint. Spent about three minutes with me and said I had a herniated disc.... suggested PT. Said don't come back. 6 weeks later no better. Called back. NO HELP! Skip this guy. Worthless!

I have been seeing Dr. Vokac for several years. He is a wonderful Doctor. My back injury is permanent, and I am not a candidate for surgery. Dr. Vokac did everything possible to help me. I could not work, so for a good while I had no income. He lowered my cost to $50.00 a visit. His kindness really touched me. He really cared about me. He also is very attentive. It took me two months to get into OrthoVirginia to see a doctor after the whole referral process. I arrived early for my morning appointment and ended up waiting 30 minutes past my scheduled time. I already know I have a herniated disc and sciatica, and had it for months. He walks in, makes me stand on my toes on the leg that has the sciatica and tells me "well, you have decent strength in your leg, you don't need to get an MRI. It should heal in 6 or more months." That's what I waited for.

My mom came to him cause she's been having major back and leg issues. The first time we went he said that could not go back to work. The second time she went he said he was sending her back to work 3hours a day and she could only lift 5pounds. He refused doing an MRI on her back. He's a doctor that only want money. He said there was nothing he could do for her. He didn't even try. Let's just say there are some sad doctors out here who don't care nothing about people and Charles Vokac is one.

I had an early a.m. appointment and arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment as requested. Although the appointment was early a.m., I still ended up having to wait 45 minutes to be seen!

Doctor Vokac , is an outstanding doctor. Very caring , treats you like family. A very good listener , kind, wants the best for you . Gives you your options and explains clearly . I highly recommend him and his staff .
