Always have a good experience with Dr Flippen He is very thorough and understanding. He Has a great attitude and really cares about his patients.

Had a very frustrating experience with Dr. Flippen. I always wait for him 10 15 minutes to finish up with previous patient and then come see me. Last time I had 10 minutes delay, and he told the office staff to reschedule me!!!! The reason for my delay was that they changed the office and their office is not in 300 medical plaza. It is in 100 Medical Plaza! I explained that but they said Dr. instructed to reschedule!!!!!! They know I come from far and Drive for an hour and a half but he doesn't care. Had two visits with him, doesn't seem to have enough experience with patients, it seems he has been involved mainly with research and managing students, not a lot of clinical experience. Very good doctor. I don't get migraines that much anymore. The medications help but I think the lifestyle changes he recommended make a big difference.

My first and only real appointment (seeking help with chronic migraines - 24 hour pain) was after a 5 month wait (his earliest appointment). After the appointment I was not able to receive a prescription for an additional 4 weeks (under heavy e-mail and phone pressure)and received no follow up when reporting worsening conditions. The second appointment in which he only referred me to another doctor was also incredibly inconsiderate because he could have told me this on the phone, my wife would not have had to take off work and we would not have had to pay $26 (office co-pay and parking). Also disturbing is that he apologized for the behavior by following the apology with saying that is just how it works in his office and here is a referral if you want to be treated with any respect or empathy or have any hopes of getting any feedback on your condition.Other doctors have heard this story and describe this doctor's patient treatment as criminally negligent.
