Richard is the best in Dallas to fit you with ortho inserts in your shoes. I have been coming to him for years and he is the reason I am able to walk 3 miles a day. The staff is the best and Dr. Cook is so special.....

Excellent health care providers at this location who take the time to listen to your concerns and provide answers that are easily understood. Highly rated surgeons with the bedside manner all are seeking. Richard Penn also creates custom orthotics that last much longer than other providers.

All staff I encountered were very friendly, was able to get appointment for same day, and Dr. Cook was really nice and very approachable seeing me as a new patient.

Dr. Cook was very thorough during my appointment. Explained what was causing my pain and provided a treatment plan to help me until I’m able to have surgery.

Dr. Cook is very knowledgeable and has helped me so much. He was not the surgeon who operated on my foot, unfortunately. He and the staff are always so friendly and efficient. I wait some in the lobby but the appointment always seems to fly by. Dr. Cook is friendly and finds what is needed to be done quickly. Dr Cook has helped my foot feel better with non-surgical treatment. I am very thankful for him.

Dr. Cook and his entire staff were gracious, kind and caring. It was obvious that Dr. Cook has much knowledge and experience. Richard, the Orthopedic Specialist, gave excellent assistance. The experience today gave me much hope and was a blessing from the Lord.

I was told by my local Dr I needed surgery and I was very clear with the nice lady from Dr. Cook's office (who was booking my consultation appointment) my circumstance along with my detailed insurance information. I waited 2 weeks for my appointment, took 8 hours out of my day (I had to travel 6 hours roundtrip), plus a hotel stay to find out they DO NOT take my insurance. Dr. Cook is an excellent physician and great surgeon. He has great communication skills and will take the time to answer all of you questions.

Office visits went very well. Dr Cook is excellent. Would not hesitate to refer any one to him. Dr Cook did my ankle replacement.

I have been going to Dr. Cook for over 5 years due to chronic issues. He is outstanding. His personality is fantastic, always has a bit of humor and deeply knowledgeable. Excellent top notch surgeon. Surgery was super smooth. Dr Cook is wonderful, clear explanations, very thorough. Staff is highly competent and friendly.

Dr. Cook is a good dr. But he always seems rushed. However, the reason for my 1 star review is that the office staff apparently doesn't know what they are doing or how to ensure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to insurance. I needed some custom made insoles and initially I was told they would be $35 because I had met my deductible, and it would only take about 45 minutes. The guy says he is there Monday through Friday all day. So I schedule an appointment to get the specialized insoles. It takes 2 HOURS. When I had made the appointment I was originally off from work but my boss needed me to come in last minute so I couldn't call to reschedule and my boss assured me that I would be able to take off to go to the appointment but I was expecting to be gone about an hour at most, so I had to work 2 extra hours instead of just1. So I get these insoles made and I go to pay thinking it's $35 (because that was the price I was quoted) I'm looking at the paperwork because you have to sign stating that you understand that they are not returnable and I see a price to pay today as $173. So I ask why it's so much when I was quoted $35 and the lady says that I hadn't met my deductible and they are $86.50 each.... um... if I had known that I would have gone a completely different route. So I was like no you can keep them because that was not the price I was told. Well after talking to my husband about it and him being tired of seeing me in pain barely able to walk he was like go ahead and get them. So I go after work yesterday (9/22/20) about 12:30 and was told the guy that makes them was at his workshop and no one had the authorization to get them, so I have to come back tomorrow(9/23/20). So I went back today (9/23/20) and was told it will be $220. I said no ma'am I was quoted $173 last week. So she goes and gets the guy to fill out a form comes back and says it'll be $175... um no I was quoted $173 I'm biting the bullet and paying this but I'm not paying more. The office manager got involved and let me pay the $173. She said that insurance is different it's not flat across the board which I totally get but I'm paying FULL PRICE for these insoles so why is the price fluctuating? I for one will not be going back to that office because I feel like they are a bunch of liars. From the price fluctuations, to the fact that the guy wasn't there even though he told me he's there Monday through Friday all day, to the time frame given and it taking much longer than what was told. I like most people don't like being jerked around and that is exactly what I feel like they did. I know this is long I just don't want anyone else to get duped like I did. Dr. Cook is a good dr. Dr. Cook and all the staff at the Dallas location are excellent. Foot reconstruction recovery is going well and everyone has been extremely helpful and professional. If you want the best- see Dr. Cook.

Dr. Cook is a very personable and knowledgeable surgeon specializing in restoring foot function. He is a MIRACLE worker and repaired my totally collapsed foot. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs foot surgery of any kind. If he cannot fix it, no one can!

Pretty worthless visit. The visit was spent with Dr. Cook talking with a young man he was teaching or mentoring. Really got no info except a referral to get a brace for my ankle. The place he referred me too was a bad experience as well. Save your money!

Not happy with foot surgery results. He didn't complete all that needed to be done. At post-op visit, he said we could schedule another surgery to finish everything. Did pre-op appt and forgot to ask that I get MRI of foot prior to surgery. His nurse called me back and said I would have to schedule another office visit to discuss this. I cancelled surgery. Found another foot surgeon.

Had surgery on my foot 6 weeks ago and I feel great. Dr. Cook and his staff are so nice and helpful. I have recommended him to several of my family and friends. Wish I would have found him years ago.

I refer patients all the time to Dr. Cook and he has treated my family and me for over 20 years. I have been very pleased with his medical care as have my patients. His goal is to treat patients conservatively before recommending surgery. To that degree, he employs an excellent pedorthist who is very helpful in using inserts and other corrective devices to heal common foot problems. He has my highest recommendation.

I am five weeks post-op with Dr. Cook, after bunionectomy/hammertoe correction. I put surgery off for years, too afraid, or no time for recovery. I met with various doctors, but things kept intervening.Then, my friend strongly recommended Dr Cook. I liked his get-right-to-it, but kind approach. Surgery went well, plus his wonderful staff, the nurses (Yvette, Michelle), the X-Ray techs, the front staff, & their willingness to help me by phone, or in unscheduled visits when I had concerns.

Slow, always having his assistant working on his behalf. His staff are nice but didn't get the care I need from him. Changed after 6 visits.

I tore a ligament in my foot tripping up stairs last April. I had surgery last June to repair the damage with a plate and several screws. Through out the entire process of identifying what the issue was and the subsequent surgery, I found Dr. Cooke and his entire staff to be very compassionate and knowledgeable. At each appointment, Dr. Cooke spent as much time with me as I needed and I thoroughly understood what the surgery was about, what to expect and how to feel afterwards.

Dr. Cook did surgery on my foot. The bunion came back only worse, big toe is partially numb, will not bend properly, pain when walking and overall I wish I had not had the surgery. Spent time with me before surgery and after the surgery he gave me about 5 minutes. On a scale of 1-10 it would be an easy 0.

I have had two surgeries by Dr. Cook and I recommended my daughter to him and she had surgery by him as well. I LOVE Dr. Cook.

Dr Cook diagnosed and treated my Morton's neuroma. I had been told I needed surgery but with orthotics and toe-taping I have done very well and not needed surgery.

I had reconstructive ankle surgery about ten years ago. Dr. Cook insulted the surgeon I went to in Dallas (who I have a good relationship with), barely spent 10 minutes with me, told me I'd eventually just have to have surgery again, recommended some useless inserts and the acted annoyed that my daughter was there (I'd asked ahead of time if I could bring her). His xray tech also seemed shocked when I asked for a lead vest bc I might be pregnant...she had to ask him if I could have a vest?

I had an ankle fusion by Dr. Cook and could not be happier or more grateful for the outcome. It is such a blessing to be out of pain and able to live my life again.

Two days prior to surgery got a call from the Physician-owned hospital RE: $3000 payment owed, despite blue chip BCBS plan. Not sure about these payments and these surgeon-owned facilities. Question the billing coding.

I went to Dr. Cook for a Bunionectomy. Big toe was rubbing on the 2nd toe & 4th toe had been broken & I asked him to straighten it. Without my permission he removed the knuckle in the 4th toe & it will never bend. At 7 mo?s he said big toe didn?t heal properly & he could fix it with more surgery. I have more pain than before surgery. Big toe will not bend & laps over 2nd toe more than before, 4th toe is crooked & leans over on little toe. He is rude, arrogant & never showed any respect.
