The staff and Doctor Hickson were all so very accommodating and kind, unfortunately the doctor wasn't able to help my mother with her tinnitus.

I had thyroid cancer and was recommended to her by my primary care. The office staff is rude and extremely incompetent. Dr Hickson saw me once and didn’t even do an exam on me, the plan was to take whole thyroid out. I kept calling her office well over a dozen times and no one would call me back. I was given lots of excuses from office staff “She’s too busy” or “I’m not sure if she wants to do it” or “I will call you back”. Not one person returned my phone call. Finally, 4 months later, my endocrinologist called her office and the mass on my chest which results came back negative from an bronchoendoscopy, Dr Hickson wanted me to get a clearance from my pulmonologist for surgery. Ridiculous! I got a second opinion and was referred out to a Colorado Springs Doctor and I am so much happier. The office staff is so nice and pleasurable to work with. She evaluated me, got me a CT scan with contrast on my neck and chest. The mass on my chest is a benign cyst and I only need half thyroid out. That is more than Dr Hickson did for me while waiting 8 months for help. Save yourself the and suffering. Don’t let your health deteriorate because of incompetencies. You’re worth so much more than that. There are so many wonderful doctors and office staff to turn to for healthcare needs. No one deserves to be treated this way. Once an office staff culture has been created, it is really hard to change it. It must change from top down. Dr. Hickson has been my ENT for many years. She is simply the best! She is personable, takes time with you, listens and explains everything. She is genuinely concerned and exceptionally professional. She is the physician of several of my family members as well. I trust her completely!

Dr Hickson was wonderful!

The staff was great, but the Dr. Was rude. Never going back here again.

Called with questions about procedures available for nasal valve stenosis. Didn't get any answers, just attitude.

Dr Hickson is amazing. She scoped me at 2nd visit to see what was going on with my throat and was able to see what my problems are. She is very thorough. Best 2nd opinion Dr. thank you to the staff as well for being very professional, caring and sincere

As a war-era veteran, I want to thank Dr. Hickson and staff for prioritizing my larynx cyst as 'essential surgery' during the covid shutdown. Not only that, they pushed the surgery ahead so that the VA approvals would not expire and further delay this surgery. Without Dr. Hickson's intervention at this critical time, It's highly possible that I would not be able to return to work, would be unable to address my deteriorating health from this condition, or keep housing for much longer. You made a HUGE, life-saving difference in this veteran's situation... Thank you! Dr. Hickson did a wonderful job on me yesterday. I had sinus surgery. She explained everything very thoroughly and calmed my apprehensions. Prior to the surgery her assistant Debbie went over everything very thoroughly.

amazing doctor. we have been trying to figure out what is wrong with my bf for 6 mos and she already knew by the sound of his voice something was wrong with the vocal chords. Thank You

I broke my nose on a Saturday. Dr Hickson was able to see me Monday morning. She scheduled surgery for Thursday morning. She did a fantastic job, you can't tell that it was ever broken. I am extremely happy with Dr Hickson.

I had thyroid cancer , Dr. Hickson and her staff did a great job getting me prepared for the surgery and Dr Hickson removing my thyroid . The after care of the staff was very caring and made sure I was doing well afterwards with follow up appointments . I Highly recomend Dr. Hickson and her staff.

I have had sinus problems for At Least 20 yrs....All they suggested was some kind of pill....I was in Dr Hicksons office & she had me diagnosed w/polyps w/in 20 min. I have never been SO happy to have polyps in my nose....Great Dr., listened to my symptoms, looked at my MRI & had the diagnosis immediately! & this is coming from a place that had no Idea what the inflammation was in my sinuses...Glad they referred me to her... Highly recommend her to Anyone & I already have!

Worst staff; all MELISSA does is complain to the patient how understaffed they are and all the work that she has too do. She makes the patient feel as if you are bothering her. You never get past the front desk. I have called and left voice messages and a different staff member took down a message with two correct phone numbers, still MELISSA called a disconnected number that I didn't have anymore. It took over a month to find out the results of a cat scan. Again, MELISSA was calling a disconnected phone number. You would think that this place would have sent a letter in the mail. Guess that this office can't afford a stamp. MELISSA also thinks she knows what both of my insurances are or aren't going to cover, even though she had not talked to them to schedule a second cat scan. I complained to Dr. SALAZAR back in November and still nothing has been done. There's no excuse for making a patient feel that you are bothering them. If you plan on bothering the staff here, know that you will not get past the front desk.... Best staff and doctor in Pueblo!

I wouldn't go anywhere else. The entire staff is knowledgeable and caring. They are truly the best in pueblo. Don't go anywhere else if you value your health.

I am 9 months post - tonsillectomy, performed by Dr. Hickson. Ever since the tonsillectomy I have had throat problems that were not present before the surgery. I saw her several times after surgery and was told that EVERYTHING pertaining to the tonsillectomy and issues because of it would not be charged for 3 months. She did a camera view of my throat within that time frame and is charging me for it. I also continue to have the same problems with my throat caused by the surgery.

I've had obvious problems for some time now but finding a doc to listen has been a problem. My first appt with Dr Hickson was very thorough and surgery was scheduled that same day! She was very attentive to my problems and what I wanted as well. She took the time with me to make sure I was ok and my questions were answered, rather than being treated like a paycheck to her. My post op follow up appt was great as well! She was very sympathetic and again, took time for me and my concerns!

Removed my thyroid and there were no complications. Excellent follow-up!
