Dr. Chaitanya Goud Bonda

A few yrs ago , I got diagnosed w pseudotumor cerebri based on the fact I'm fat. My spinal fluid wasn't really all that high, but this doc. decided I could just lose weight & life would be better. He put me on horrible medication to boot. My eye specialist told me several times that he didn't think that doctor was right. My eyes are always fine, which is the biggest concern with this condition. He couldn't believe this doc. would not run any other tests. I eventually weaned off that awful medication that never helped me, &life has gone on.Because I had a sudden bp spike &some other issues, my pcp decided to do a brain MRI. I've not had one, ever. The MRI shows a 14mm mass above my soft palate. This is probably the cause of my horrendous headaches, deafness in one ear, &a whole host of other things. I will see someone soon to let me know if it's benign or not (hopefully soon). That is not because I am FAT. Suffered w non-stop pounding in my head for yrs because of this man not helping

Excellent doctor! I saw him the hospital recently. He explained my condition in detail and was very professional.

I was seeing Dr.Bonda for myasthenia gravis before he moved to different city. He was the most knowledgeable neurologist I saw for my condition. He is an excellent doctor. I recommend him highly.

I saw Dr.Bonda for headaches which I was suffering for many years. He listened and started me on appropriate treatment which has significantly helped. He is a great doctor.

He is a very good listener, very thorough and skillful Neurologist.

He was the first neurologist I saw after ER diagnosis of Bell's Palsy. Dr Bonda failed to review my medical record. He did not look at the test results, or read the reports. He did not look at the imaging, despite having all of these on my record a week before my visit. He performed a perfunctory exam in a dismissive manner. He failed to offer PT, or any other treatment recommendations. He could barely describe my condition and his knowledge seemed dated. It was such a terrible experience, I called the insurance company to ask them if it were possible to withhold payment. Later, I saw a real neurologist, who actually reviewed my diagnostics and records, explained my condition and treatment plan in detail, recommended PT and alternative treatment. If Dr Bonda has any of these skills, none of them were on display in my visit.

This most certainly is not the type of thing I do. However, if this helps one person to find the quality care that he/she requires in determining a prognosis, then it is worth it. Dr. Bonda failed to invest any time in determining the cause of the seizures. Nearly made to believe that I was lying about my seizures as well as being uneducated. His nurse insinuated that I was lazy, telling me me that at some point I’d have to return to work. Why would I make such a thing up? One in which has torn apart my life? The inability to drive, giving up my car, constant care, fighting depression, anxiety of the next seizure, not to mention loss of a 6-figure career. Please be an advocate for you. Take the time to research a specialist who knows and understands your circumstances. Had I done so sooner, I’d have my independence returned back to me. Instead I wasted a year and have been placed on disability.

Always very thorough, detailed, and caring. Office staff is amazing. His nurse, Amy, is the Best! Highly recommend. I saw two other neurologists prior to Dr. Bonda and they both were dismissive of issues. Dr Bonda truly cared to find out the root cause of the issue to know the proper plan of care.

Not great, has limited internal personal skills and does not listen. Very disappointing

Not enough room to detail my disappointment. High co-pay up front, rushed though, didn’t use ANY advanced testing options available nor exam room temp. criteria for my issue, even if he had. Flat out disagreed with a diagnosis made yrs. ago by a specialist in Dallas. Heavy accent & low speaking volume (he was informed of my hearing loss) made it nearly impossible to understand him. I pity the patients who claim a worse experience elsewhere. Was referred by another doctor, not a personal choice.

Very rude no bedside manor. I would not recommend him at any cost. Not interested in what you have to say. Knows everything except how to listen and provide a diagnosis of your problems. Never even said good morning. Totally dissatisfied. Will be seeing another Doctor immediately.
