She’s great! I wish I could find where she is practicing now!

No, I would not recommend this Dr. to anyone. I am not sure if it is Dr. Mullarkey or the practice in general but every time I have had an appointment, I have been make to sit in a small office for up to an hour and 45 minutes waiting to see her. While waiting, there is not internet and you have no access to wi-fi. So you basically sit there staring at a ticking clock. Once the Dr. comes in, she repeats the same direction as always and tries to "catch you" doing something wrong. The waiting is infuriating as I will leave work early for my appointment and by the time the doctor shows up, I could have finished my day at work without having to take time off. (I am a special education teacher). It seems that Dr. Mullarkey feels that her time if much more valuable than mine.

Dr. Mullarkey is a kind and caring doctor.

Exceptional!! Dr. Mullarkey-Desapio was very thorough, took to speak with me, (rather than at me), listened intently, explained reasoning for proceeding in a certain manner, and helped me develop a plan to go forward with. I highly recommend Dr. Mullarkey-Desapio!

Extremely knowledgeable and comprehensive.

Given the history of my male relatives, without her constant and caring attention, I would probably be dead by now. Instead, I am enjoying life. She is great.

Dr. Mullarkey is a great diagnostician. Unfortunately that's the extent of the positive feedback that I can provide. Dr. Mullarkey is extremely rude and incredibly condescending. You can expect to be bullied and berated (starting with the offhanded comments from the support staff following your weigh-in). She does not engage in discussions around diet supportive of thyroid treatment, but rather will insist that you either join the practice's weight loss clinic (more $$, located out of state) or Weight Watchers. If you decline, she will scold you and threaten to remove you from her practice. She will insist that WW or Lean Cuisine-type frozen foods can suffice for all meals, rather than recognize that they are intended for supplemental use as occasional meal replacements. Home cooked meals, to her, are not to be trusted with regard to healthiness and patients are not to be trusted to weigh, measure, or follow portion size guidance. Dr. Mullarkey will not respect your time. You will sit in the waiting room and in the treatment room for an average of 40 minutes. On one occasion I waited in the treatment room for 90 minutes because Dr. Mullarkey "didn't know I was there." No apologies were given. Dr. Mullarkey also once had her office staff cancel an appointment due to business travel. They rebooked me for the next earliest opening 3 months later, and Dr. Mullarkey read me the riot act for not keeping up on my visit schedule. Some of the front desk staff are lovely, but many are just as inhospitable as Dr. Mullarkey herself. Good endocrinologists are apparently very difficult to come by, but save yourself the aggravation, the frustration, and the tears and keep looking unless you like being insulted by your medical provider.

Worst endocrinologist I’ve ever visited. Horrible and incompetent front desk employees.

If I could give this provider 0 stars, I would. I have never in my entire life met a doctor as rude as her, with a front desk to match her attitude. She shows up over 30 minutes late to telemedicine appointment that the office schedules, and does not even bother to apologize. She also said that I didn't "really need telemedicine appointments" and that I should go into their office - never mind the fact that we are currently in a pandemic and most of her patients are high risk. She just does not seem to care. Aside from all of this, her bedside manner was absolutely absurd. She is extremely rude and unprofessional, and LOVES to write you up for unnecessary tests that will end up costing you hundreds and hundreds of dollars out of pocket. The last straw for me was the billing office's rude behavior. There was a mix up with my referral and they decided to tell me 6 months after the fact so that they could try to collect another couple of hundreds of dollars from me. Long story short - if you are in between this provider and another provider, for your own sanity, pick the other provider. I wish someone had warned me.

I was so fortunate to find Dr. Cathleen Mullarky coming from N.Y. and living in PA. 5 years. Not only did she explain to me the importance of my health with my thyroid , she invests her time in making sure that all my levels are need to be are in place. Not only does Dr. Mullarky take her time, she had gone above and beyond to find me the right pharmacy to fulfill a prescription of Synthroid at a low cost whereas CVS won't comply. Dr. Cathleen Mullarky really invests her time and truly cares for her patients.

I am a long-time diabetic. I used to go to an extremely conservative (read: non-modern), young endocrinologist who had already started me on insulin about 6 years ago (after having been on medications since 1996). Dr Mullarkey is a very knowledgeable endocrinologist, who is up-to-date in her understanding of current medicines available to treat diabetes. She pulled me off insulin, changed my medications so that I was not having daily highs and lows and has been able to stabilise my A1C! She starts off appearing to be very rude, but you realise soon enough that it is for your own good. After a combative first year or so, I now realise that she is exactly who I need. Translation: don't go by first impressions.

Dr. Mullarkey, help me to lose weight and feel a lot better. Getting blood work and ultra sounds, learning the condition of my health, Taking new medicine that helped me to lose the weight. And protecting my liver and kidney. I would recommend Dr. Mullarkey to all my friends. I guess she has added many more years to my life.

Dr Mullarkey is a great doctor. She cares so much about her patients. She is very knowledgeable and always answers all my questions. I feel she is taking great care of me and my medical issues. I would highly recommend her!!!

Went to dr. When my primary dr found my calcium levels to me high. I went to dr Mullarkey and after several visits she told me in front of my husband I had thyroid cancer. Scheduled me for total thyroidectomy. After my follow up with surgeon I was told by surgeon on we got back your pathology report and there was no cancer. Was I dumb not getting a second opinion? Yes. No biopsy done. I would steer clear from this liar

She was horrible said she did not have enough time to explain my diagnosis Said she was ordering me a prescription The drug store never received it Atfer 3 phone calls I was told she was not ordering a prescription I believe she didn’t want to take the time to look at my chart Nothing but a money machine I will not be returning to her practice

Dr Mullarkey is wonderful. She is innovative and on top of the latest ideas for managing diabetes. She is honest and answered all of my questions. I trust her completely for managing my care. You could not find a better specialist for diabetes care.

Dr. Mullarkey has excellent credentials, but was remarkabley disorganized. Chronically late for appointments, she clearly had not read my files or case notes before our meeting, could not converse and input her laptop at the same time, suggested the front desk were "idiots" for an appointment scheduling error. When she suddenly left the Princeton Medical Group practice we found another endochronologist.

This Doctor is pathetic, their waiting time is always more than an hour. They charge me twice for the same visit, they said doctor spend an hour with me that’s why they are charging twice, but it was not like that,after waiting half hour outside they asked me to go in the room where doc can see me and after spending half hour in that room I went back to reception to ask that how much time it will take more,they said doc is busy with another patient,she took 45min more after that.Not professional

Dr. Mullarkey made insulting and inappropriate comments both times I saw her. I will be switching to a different doctor. I'm sure Dr. M is very well qualified in her field, but she needs to learn how to speak respectfully to people.

My daughter recently saw Dr. Mullarkey for a thyroid condition. My daughter was recently diagnosed with her condition - and since she will be travelling soon needed to be seen by a doctor ASAP. Dr. Mullarkey graciously fit my daughter into her schedule within days of our calling for an appointment. My daughter was emotional just having been diagnosed. Dr. Mullarkey was very kind to her. She took her time explaining the condition and was very reassuring in her interaction with my daughter.

Dr.. Mullarkey's straight forward professional approach is truly what I needed in a physician, she is extremely thorough and confident. She has provided me with a clear course of treatment that has improved my health tremendously, always ready to answer my questions. What a pleasure it is to such a wonderful doctor in my corner. "Two Thumbs Up"

Dr. Mullarky is a very thorough physician! She is easy to talk with and very kind in her approach. I have confidence in her as my specialist.

Horrible experience. Very dismissive and condescending. Waited 45 minutes to see her only to have her rush through the exam, listen to nothing I said, and all but refuse to answer any questions I had.

My 2nd visit with Dr. Mullarkey, much better than the first. Overall, she really knows her stuff and then some. Never felt rushed or overwhelmed by the information she provided. She is the doctor I've been waiting to see after having other endo's not as good. She really makes me want to be a better patient and get my health in a much better place!

This was my first visit to Dr Cathleen and I was very impressed. She took the time and looked at all the reports. She pointed out some issues in my blood report that my primary care overlooked. I would highly recommend her.

I found Dr. Mullarkey-Desapio very knowledgeable. She spent alot of time on our initial visit. Very thorough. Finally a Dr that know Diabetes! I would highly recommend her.

i would never ever recommend this doctor to anyone i liked. She is not sincere. made me feel overweight (if 135 lbs 5ft 4 is overweight she is overweight also). i found out i have cancer, i have to have surgery and needed to get a form signed by her and she said to come to the office right after their lunch. she made me sit in the waiting room for 2 hours and saw me for a minutes. i am on a high dose of steriods for breathing issues. she said she would not prescribe them to me. don't go to her

I was previously seeing an endocrinologist in PA for 11 years. Due to my work situation, I decided to make a switch to see Dr Mullarkey-Desapio. I am so glad I did!!!! She listened and decided to order some tests that indicated that I was a Type 2 Diabetic and not the Type 1 for which I was treated. I feel much better now and highly recommend Dr Mullarkey-Desapio.

I have been having thyroid issues for a while - almost 7 years. My previous endocrinologist was not very sympathetic to how I felt, he only addressed my issues by looking at my "numbers" Dr. Mullarkey came highly recommended so I made an appointment to go see her. Not only did she take the time to sit and listen to me, she made a recommendation to change my medicine to a brand and not a generic. What a WORLD of difference. After being on the new medicine for 7 weeks now, I feel amazing!

My endocrinologist in East Brunswick retired and the new physician who took over was terrible. I searched for a new doctor and was lucky to find Dr. Mullarkey. Very caring and excellent doctor. Spends a great deal of time with me, explaining everything. Really knows her stuff! Office is beautiful and easy to get to, and the staff is great.

I have been seeing Dr. Mullarkey for the past year after being in severe denial of my diabetes and my health issues. She has been amazing and virtually saved my life. Very knowledgeable, very detailed in her evaluation, and extremely committed to her patients. I am so very fortunate to have found her. I would give her 10 stars if I could!!!

I am new to Dr Mullarkey. I switched because I needed a doctor who was comfortable with technology used in diabetes. She was informed and took time to listen and share new treatment options with me. Exactly what I have been looking for.

I am a physician who has referred many of my patients to Dr. Mullarkey over my professional career, with wonderful feedback from them and outstanding medical results. It was therefore no surprise that when I needed an endocrinologist , I chose her. She is clearly a stand out endo who is well above average in knowledge, commitment to her patients with genuine concern, practicing cutting edge medicine. I am very fortunate to have her as my specialist, and for all my patients, old and new.

Became Dr. Mullarkey's patient last year after my previous endocrinologist retired. Hate when I have to change doctors, but I was extremely impressed and have been very happy with her care and her office staff. I would definitely recommend her.

I am a type 1 diabetic with thyroid and adrenal disease. Dr. Mullarkey has been the only specialist who has been knowledgeable enough to deal with my very complex medical problems. I have been very happy with her care. I would definitely recommend her.

I am a new patient to Dr. Mullarkey over the past year. I was very impressed with her comprehensiveness and obvious extensive knowledge about my diabetes and thyroid conditions. She spent a great deal of time with me, more than any other physician I have had in the past, and explained everything in great detail in terms I could understand. She was obviously very committed to providing outstanding care and also very caring and personable. I have been very happy with her care.

I have been Dr. Mullarkey's patient for over 20 years. She has moved her office several times, and every time I follow her. I met Dr. Mullarkey-Desapio when she was my endocrinologist at Princeton Medical Group for about 2 years. When Dr. Mullarkey-Desapio left the Princeton Medical Group I panicked. I was overjoyed when she joined the staff at Princeton Endocrinology Associates. She is always patient and asks how I'm doing. She always remembers to ask me if I need any prescription refills and reviews my medication and dosing. I have not problem scheduling appointments and the staff is friendly and helpful.

I have such confidence in Dr. Mullarkey-Desapio not only am I a patient but I've taken my daughter to see her. Knows her stuff.

My physician for Type 1 diabetes for 5 years, transitioning from a pediatric endo, which I was very nervous about, but soon found I had hit the lottery!. The most knowledgeable and caring doctor I have ever had. Really helped me get control of my diabetes and get me on an insulin pump and continuous glucose meter. Very very happy I found her! Completely disagree with comments by J.Brown in earlier review!!

Amazing endocrinologist! Spent a great deal of time with me. Really listened to my concerns and brainstormed unique solutions that no other physician took the time to try to do. Very caring and extremely up to date with the most current medical information. I felt very comfortable with her and highly recommend her!

Outstanding physician! I have seen many endocrinologists in Princeton, New Brunswick, Flemington and Bridgewater, and she was the only doctor who didn't tell me my weight gain was from eating too much. She diagnosed my problem--a rare condition called Cushings. She saved my life! I would highly highly recommend her!!!

I am a 64 year old woman who recently has faced many medical challenges, thereby seeing a multitude of diff doctors. Dr. Mullarkey was BY FAR the most thorough physician that I have seen. She took the time to explain to myself and my husband in detail everything that she wanted me to do. You never feel as if there is a time clock on your appointment, she spends the amount of time needed at each appointment.

Visited Dr M a few times as Diabetes-Type1 patient. Every time it would be too much theory and not practical treatment of the individual patient. Would not look at insulin pump blood readings, only A-1-Cs which in my case are not accurate. Could not correlate imperial patient pump reports with medical theory - which for an insulin dependent diabetic is not rocket science, and especially if one has been a type-1 for over 25 years. Prescribed medications that I was allergic to...

Dr. Mullarkey-Desapio is a wonderful Doctor. She has a healing touch. She is kind and friendly. She is well read and know her job. She explains you well about your condition.
