Dr. Carrie Ann Steichen

I was a patient of Dr Steichen for several years. She was great at first but slowly started shoving me off to her Pa's. I go to new York during the summer an when I got back in Nov 2021 I seen her but didn't see her again till May when her Pa Pavel ordered sacrum joint injections. I went in an she asked me why I was there. She didn't even no I was coming in for them then I spent more time waiting for them an in recovery then I did having them. It was the fastest injections I think I've ever had. I had asked her staff 3 separate times if I could see her too be told all 3 times that sorry it wasn't my turn to see her. I even told them my pain was getting worse. After the injections the pain in my sacrum joint has been worse then before I had it done. I give her Pa Pavel 5 stars he is awesome and tried helping me as much as he could.

This is my third attempt at posting a review for Dr. Steichen. I was a patient of hers for 2 years. Long story short. I was medically retired from the military in 2010 (30) years' service (special ops) with multiple catastrophic injuries to the spine. A decade of surgeries, rehabilitations, injections, nerve killing operations and spinal simulator treatments all done by well-known surgeons at the Andrews institute have failed. Final diagnosis was stay as active as possible, Keep weight off, range of motion exercises daily. Use pain meds as prescribed to keep active. Enjoy the time you have but understand final result will be full spinal fusion (a crippling procedure) and or lose of bodily functions restrained to a wheelchair. Dr Steichen prescribes pain meds based on street value. I had been at 40mg oxy per day for over a year after a double hip replacement going for a second shoulder replacement. I asked to increase 5mgs per day, 3x15 mgs=45 mgs daily. Dr. Steichen refused my request as 15mg OxyContin had a high street value. So, she increased my 40mg daily dose to 60 mgs daily all by 10mg pills. I have been on and off pain meds for 20+ years and I'm scared to death of any increase. She has no concept nor is there any plan of true chronic pain management with her or the clinic she works at.

Shes a great Doctor,she actually listens and has a great understanding of pain!

I have seen Dr Steichen for a few years now. She really listens to you. You know how you go see a Dr & you feel like their mind is somewhere else? She focuses on you the entire time you talk with her. She never rushes you and she will give you all possible options. Dr Steichen is amazing because she has never given up on me. She truly cares about her patients and I feel so blessed to have her as my Dr. You will too.

Absolutely no concern for the patient's wellness. Multiple extra expenses for tests, X-rays, etc. just to generate CYA file-filler for Dr. Steichen. Abysmal lack of compassion for a fully documented 20+ year struggle with chronic pain. Treated from day 1 disrespectfully as if only purpose was to obtain controlled drugs. Not a doctor you want if you have genuine chronic pain; or, for that matter, not a 'doctor' you want to deal with at all.

From the very first visit, I knew I had an excellent referral. Each visit the Doctor or her staff takes the time to do a thorough exam of any problems mentioned. The staff are caring and efficient, which only adds to the visit. Dr Steichen and her staff listen and adapt their treatment whenever necessary. As a veteran, I would highly recommend her for pain management requirements.

I am a Veteran who sees Dr Steichen for a an injury I sustained in Iraq. She is a very kind, caring physician with a warm and friendly staff. She and the staff are always professional. I highly recommend Dr Steichen for pain management needs.

My first appointment and I’m excited for my future! She is knowledgeable and caring.

Excellent listener. Loves her profession and patients. As a disabled Veteran, I enthusiastically recommend Dr Steichen to my fellow Veterans.

Dr. Carrie Steichen is awesome!

Dr. Steichen D.O., was wonderful! She spent over an hour in the room with me on the first visit. Every time I've seen her since then, she sits and listens to you as well as does a true physical exam on you every visit actually laying her hands on you! She also takes time to discuss different treatment options verses just pushing medications at you.
