Dr. Kowalczyk is a true advocate for women! What she does has been and always will be close to her heart as she gives it her all to each and every patient that comes to her for help. My husband and I struggled for a few years with infertility and after just one cycle here I am pregnant with my beautiful baby girl and I just reached my second trimester! I recently got my daughter's NIPT results back and she tested negative for everything - she is as healthy and perfect as can be. Not once did Dr K make me feel like something was wrong with me or that what we wanted was impossible; I knew from the moment we sat down with her going over test results that she was willing to fight hard to help us achieve our dream of having a family. For the first time ever under care of any medical professional I felt seen and heard by Dr Kowalczyk. She listened to me and respected what I knew about my own body. I never had to push or fight for a different way of action with her, never had to explain in length why a certain medication was bad for me - by keeping communication open and honest with her is what will really help you but also trust her judgement. I've never met a doctor that was more empathetic and all about their patients like Dr Kowalczyk is. I can't wait to come back when we're ready for baby #2! After losing My 1st child to miscarriage and struggling for over a year to conceive again and came across this clinic, overall this clinic was wonderful I mainly worked with the PA at this location and never once seen Dr. K herself but I now have a 19 month old daughter, and am thinking about coming back to the clinic if needed to conceive another child. The staff here overall listened greatly to what each women has gone through and come up with a different treatment plan for everyone which I think is amazing. My husband and I worked with Dr.k who gave us a very thorough and successful IVF experience. We were so fortunate and blessed that our first round was successful! We will go back for a 2nd round in the near future<3. The entire staff is wonderful as well! I Highly suggest choosing Dr.K!

I am currently a patient here while we are preparing for our first transfer. I have not been asked or prompted to leave a review at any time, but I wanted to wait until our egg retrieval to say some honest things about this clinic. If you’re worried reading any bad reviews, please know that while those people are rightfully upset, they are taking out their frustration on the clinic due to the high costs of IVF and not being successful. Not all procedures are 100%, but I will say this clinic will advocate for you to make sure that they are doing everything medically possible to help grow your family. As for any reviews about rudeness… maybe you should treat others the way you want to be treated and see how it goes from there. The support staff here is amazing. I was lucky enough to get to know most of them during my multiple trips when doing injections. They never made me feel unwelcomed or that I was a burden with the multiple questions I had and still have. It was so nice on egg retrieval day having a ton of smiling faces going “hey Jennifer! It’s finally the big day! Yay!” and staff peeking their heads around corners to smile and wave. I am very thankful to find Dr. Kowalczyk and her amazing team. I like doctors and staff that don’t sugar coat things and tell you exactly what you need to do, when and why you need to do it. My experience was really positive at this office. Every single person I came in contact with, was really friendly and welcoming. Most of the time I met with the PA, Alexa who is absolutely amazing. I know that I was not the easiest patient, but Alexa had all the patience in the world for me. She is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and definitely passionate about her job. I would like to know how this doctor got so many 5 star reviews. There literally can’t be a worse place to seek treatment. You NEVER see the doctor, the staff is beyond sub par, the ultrasound tech congratulated on my delivery the previous year which was actually an ectopic miscarriage. I can literally go on and on about how awful this place is. Kowalczyk missed so many issues that likely caused my miscarriages and failed transfers. Moved to Dr. Abuzeid and couldn’t be happier. Please, I implore you to seek treatment elsewhere…I don’t care where it will be better than her. My OB said she will never refer her patients to Kowalczyk after she experienced first-hand how improperly my treatment played out. So for all those 5 star review people, do everyone a favor and stop leaving high reviews for this incompetent doctor. You’re doing more good because then others won’t fall victim to her malpractice. My experience was mostly positive; consult, testing, feedback, and insemination all went pretty smooth. However throughout the process steps were missed or information was relayed incorrectly, and I feel these situations could have been handled with more compassion and care instead of client blaming. Scheduling is difficult as their is little availability, they do offer telehealth but you cant sign documents or paperwork that way, so extra trips to office might be necessary. As someone who has had several miscarriages of her own, I found Dr. Kowalczyk super diligent trying to understand and treat why I was miscarrying. She was also very attentive and sensitive to my losses and treated me with kindness and compassion. We did discover the reason for my pregnancy losses, and I just learned that I am pregnant with a healthy baby girl! We couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Dr. Kowalczyk and her staff. Never saw the doctor. She complained to our OB about us, that we were "hostile" when all I did was write a negative review. Beware of this doctor. Filing a complaint with the board.

Agree with all the comments regarding lack of transparency and being dismissed when asking questions. Only after I voiced my displeasure and threatened to go elsewhere (which I did), did I get a call from the Dr. There are members of her staff who care and are easy to work with. However, I do not feel that she is providing treatment that has her patients best interest in mind. There are better drs in the area who have much better methodologies.

Horrible experience. You never see Dr. Kowalczyk - only front staff, phlebotomist and ultrasound tech. Take your money elsewhere because you will NOT be satisfied with their services. Out $20k and no baby to show for it.

This doctor is all about the money. She acts nice and caring, but she is the opposite. She stole my sister eggs and told her that her eggs did not make it to the fifth day because of bad quality. My sister spent around $10,000 and lost her eggs. Stay away from this doctor!

The staff is very friendly but you never see the doctor. I had to request to see the doctor, I seen a different person every time I came. Which was very disappointing.

Thanks to Dr. K and the staff at the Warren office, we were blessed with our perfect baby girl in 2019. Everyone was so wonderful and helpful through the whole process. Looking forward to going back in the near future for another transfer.

This clinic is amazing! After roughly 1.5 years of treatments and trying to figure out which meds worked for my body they helped my husband and I bring a beautiful girl into the world. She's almost a year now and I have just gone back for help with baby number 2 now!

This office and doctor are amazing ! Next week I go for my frozen transfer ... despite of the embryos take, I have never met a team that is so compassionate , caring , patient, diligent , thorough , and prompt .... I love how the team works together .. They are quick to answer questions and get back to you if you leave a message .. The doctor is always on emergency call if you need help or have questions .. From the staff while schedules to the nurses in ultrasound ... I have never been so blessed , to be led to this fertility clinic ... I would recommend and encourage anyone to go here... I am going to Dr Kowalczyk for my first ivf treatment. Along the way from billing to administration, nurses to the Doctor , have been so supportive and patient ,kind understanding! They care about your finances and trying to get the medication for you that is least expensive . They have answered all my questions and never rushed a visit! This is my first review on the internet of anything. I felt like it was important to share our experience with this office because it is such an important and crucial time for any couple. It’s personal, stressful and expensive. I believe that being transparent with this is very important. After switching clinics, I am more aware to all of the things this office didn’t offer. First, we only saw the Doctor three times after going through 3 cycles (2 IUI 1 IVF) The Doctor doesn’t perform the inseminations nor is she there for any scans. You are depending on the techs and nurses (different every time) to relay information to the doctor for each individual case. Bottom line, the Doctor isn’t present in all aspects. She speaks fast while shuffling papers of all the steps you must take during your consultations. She never seemed like she had enough time. Never settled, calm or collected. We are pretty certain during a procedure (not insemination) that she left the building and came back. We waited an hour for her to return after stating I wasn’t ready for the procedure due to an empty bladder even though I was told it had to be empty. It was awkward and obvious for everyone. Bottom line, every one in the office is stretched way too thin. The case load is too heavy and takes away from the individual experience. Most of the staff is friendly, however I feel that they reflect the stress and strain of being overwhelmed and overbooked. I truly feel like this clinic is all about the money. Rather than make an individual plan based on a woman’s issues, it seems like an assembly line. Same process. Same approach. In and out. During my IVF procedure I was walked into the operating room while the Doc sat there with the instruments in the air waiting for me to receive my anesthesia. So, the last thing I remember is seeing the Doctor holding the instrument in the air and the nurse stating my name and birth date. Not professional at all. I couldn’t believe it. Nor do I believe my IVF cycle ever should have happened. If the Doctor was more familiar with my situation I think they could have done better—and my results would have been a lot different. They don’t do thorough enough testing prior to IVF procedures. Keep that in mind. Every time I received a call on bloodwork or results it was someone different. I never felt like anyone fully knew my situation except for the ultrasound tech Bonnie—she was the only consistent person in the office. (And Joanne) Always friendly, honest, and she offered us more direction, instruction, and advice than the Doctor. Another inconvenience is that they are not open all days. They are not at the mercy of your ovaries while most clinics are staffed enough to make sure they are there no matter what the day of the week. With such an intricate and timely process one would think they would make themselves available. Not the case here. I wish I could say better things about the practice. I feel as though the intention is there but greed took over. I’m happy to hear a new Doc is now in the office hopefully now they can work in sync. Having 3 locations also makes for a stretch. 1-2 Doctors can’t be there for everything and if you go to a different location for one scan they won’t have your records to even see what your status is... I could go on. I spent well over 20k at this office with no results and questionable service. I am not bitter, and hate to sound negative but again this is a delicate process I feel like everyone should be aware. IF Dr. K is good for you that’s amazing! I hope she is—but I highly encourage people looking for a fertility Doc to shop around before settling. You will see the difference. My wife and I had been with Dr. Kowalczyk's office since around June or July 2018. This is a lengthy review, but please read it all if you are considering this office. They were very accommodating with my wife's work schedule; making the times available for early morning appointments. This was very helpful and the only reason for the 1 star review (lesser was not possible). Overall - we tried IUI on four separate occasions, which of course can be a very emotional roller coaster of ups and downs throughout the entire process. A fertility clinic should be a warming environment with a welcoming staff. The staff (other than Alexa - she is GREAT!) was occasionally rude to either my wife or myself on the phone, late to calling with pregnancy results (after 2PM) - when you try to call the office after 2PM - the answering machine advises they are closed, so you are left in limbo not knowing if you will be getting the test results that day or not (they always called, but we weren't sure if they were going to or not). We had countless appointments with this office, at least 20-30, and not one time with 3 negative results and 1 positive pregnancy, did we meet Dr. Kowalczyk. We met Alexa at our first appointment and she went above and beyond and was very helpful. We saw the doctor (know her face based on the internet and their website), but not once did she say hello, introduce herself, or have a consultation with us. At our prior fertility clinic, we met the doctor on the very first appointment (prior clinic closed due to retirement). We both think this is very unprofessional and our OBGYN was just as shocked as us to know that we had never even met the doctor face-to-face, and only spoke to her one time. My wife received a voicemail from Dr. Kowalczyk after our positive pregnancy test when she called to advise it was "okay" to "figure it out with our OBGYN (name w/held)" - I have the voicemail saved for our records. Lastly, when my wife went in for her last pregnancy test, the young male associate who drew her blood advised that her progesterone levels from the prior week were "great!" ---- with my wife's conflicting work schedule, she was unable to get her progesterone levels checked the week prior. This gave us a really bad sense of "are these really are results?" "what paper are you reading from?" "somebody had good levels...heck, we may have, but she was never tested". It was very stressful and the ups and downs, made worse by this doctor, made the overall process harder than it needed to me. My wife was always stressed when going to this doctors office and that's completely uncalled for, especially in this industry. It didn't seem like the doctor cared AT ALL for her patients, based on our experience anyways. We made a few complaints to the medical assistants advising how unhappy we were with the process and the doctors lack of contact with us. Overall, a poor experience with this doctor. We received a different recommendation from our OB and will be taking our business elsewhere as my wife suffered a miscarriage last week. My journey started 4 years ago trying to have my second baby. After a few years of trying, miscarriages and frustration, my OB sent me to Dr. K. I first started out seeing Alexa but when I had yet another loss, I started seeing Dr. K. Over the course of 2 years, we tried natural ttc,IUI, and eventually, IVF. Dr K was recommending IVF for quite some time and I was resistant. I never felt pressured or forced into it, though. Each time she would comfort me and let me know that it was probably my best option but to let her know when I was ready. Finally she called me out and said what I was afraid to admit - that I was scared it wouldn't work and I would be heartbroken, again. Well, I took a leap of faith and it couldn't have went better! I have a beautiful 6, almost 7 month old son and one embryo waiting for me. These other reviews talking about how she doesn't have time to deal with her patients or "only cares about the money" I feel like is so far from the truth. There is a reason that she has so many patients, has had to expand, hire another Dr, and has such high success rates! It's because she's a smart cookie, and agressive to do what she thinks will give you your take home baby, whatever that may be. It was so hard for me to finally give up control and let her do her thing, but when I did, I was blessed in the best way possible. If you're reading this, chances are that you are struggling with infertility. I am sorry about what you are going through. This is a difficult and trying journey. Hang in there and take care of yourself. With that being said, you've come to the right place. Dr. Kowalczyk is a wonderful fertility doctor. She treats her patients with respect and does not sugarcoat things. She has a way of being caring while also candid at the same time. She will not recommend unnecessary treatments and she will be honest with you about your situation. She is very trustworthy. Her prices are also competitive. Her staff is wonderful, as well. From Liz at the front desk to her nurses and techs, including Bonnie, Ashley, Carly, Julie, Barb, and others. They treat you like family. The communication is excellent. I love Michigan Center for Fertility, they give older wanna be moms like me hope. Dr. K was so personable, I had gotten in a car accident and had to stop treatment before I even began, but I felt like I picked up where I left off. The Nurses and staff are amazing and take their time to explain everything and I mean everything pertaining to your treatment. I call and my phone calls are returned in a timely manner. I am so VERY happy that I have found this clinic and everyone in it! This journey has been nothing less than very emotional and a lot of hard work (that I’m more than willing to put in) and everyone at this office - the doctors, PA’s, ultrasound techs, and the front desk ladies are AMAZING! They ALWAYS make me feel like I am important and more importantly what I have to say and my concerns are always addressed. We did IVF and had a successful frozen transfer with Dr. Kowalczyk. Everyone was absolutly wonderful! IVF nurses were always there to answer any questions or concerns we had through the whole process. We are so grateful for this office and everything they did for us.

As I approach another egg retrieval, I had to leave a review. This process is incredibly sensitive and difficult. There’s a lot of tears and a lot of stress, but I’ve felt so incredibly supported with the office behind me every step of the way. Today they let me have the later egg retrieval this weekend so it worked with my sitter, I am so grateful. When you visit an office 2-3 times a week, heck this week it’s 5, you get to know everyone. The staff here is phenomenal. I first met with Alexa and we discussed my options in 2 separate meetings. Then, after my first failed IVF, Dr. K and I spoke via phone and then she fit us in for an appointment to also review everything with my husband. Negative pregnancy tests are hard. But this staff has comforted me every step of the way. The front office greets me with a smile and works around my schedule for appointments. Kim knows the books I’m reading, all of the ultrasound techs ask me about how I’m enjoying boxing, and every time someone calls with my test results they check on me too. Carly encourages me to try boxing in the first place and Barbara always deals with my 20 questions. Highly recommend for this really difficult journey. Front desk staff not patient. Dr K is never available. I saw her twice within 2 months. After loosing 17 of my eggs and after a failed IVF cycle I didn’t hear from her not once!!! Different nurses all the time with no follow up from my actual Dr. my father is a physician. He ALWAYS takes the time to make his patients feel important. No one is too busy to make others feel important. Go elsewhere.

Front desk staff is terrible. Make you feel like a burden when you ask questions. When I asked the staff if they sell prenatals , they told me they don’t know. Go to RMA. I would not come here ever again.

Dr. Kowalczyk and her staff were incredible during our cycles! Everyone answered my questions efficiently and I was able to reach a doctor or nurse during all hours. The entire staff worked with my schedule and made me feel important and safe.

We love Dr. K! She was very open and compassionate with us. She listened to my concerns and adjusted my care as needed. She helped us to become pregnant after years of trying on our own. The staff are very friendly and supportive. They always made me feel welcome. Everyone is very thorough and knowledgeable. We always received a call back from the nurses when needed. We even received quick call-backs from Dr. K when we called her emergency answering service. Thank you Dr. K and staff!

I completely agree with the review below - it does appear the doctor is all about the money. I was told she didn't want to use my eggs after 35- which shocked me because my labs were good. The nurses are amazing and caring but I couldn't deal with the lack of concern about how I feel from the doctor. Just my own thoughts.

She is absolutely the best! Highly recommend.

We went to 4 different fertility clinics in the area before landing on Dr Kowalczyk at the Michigan Center for Fertility and Women’s Health. They not only have the best success rates (according to SART) they have the kindest staff and spa like ambience. It’s obvious dr Kowalczyk and staff put a lot of effort into making their patients feel comfortable. My husband and I had been on a long infertility journey - struggling to get appointments with U of M and feeling like a number at IVF Michigan- so when we discovered Michigan Center for fertility and women’s health it just felt right. Dr Kowalczyk is so kind- she makes you feel like family. I always reach my hand out to shake hands but she hugs instead. I can’t say enough good things about them. Dear Dr. Kowalczyk, A few months ago, we (really Shiehern) researched IVF doctors online after an unsuccessful first attempt. We were very fortunate to discover your office. From the very beginning, we were very impressed with you and your staff. Everyone starting with you, was so caring, responsive and detail oriented. Kathy, our nurse, was always responsive to questions whether it be in person or via e-mail. And ultimately we were so excited the day we received the call from Jackie telling us we were pregnant. Love the office staff. When we were told we would only have a chance with ivf we got a second opinion. So glad we did. Alexa gave us other options to try and she got us pregnant. Their staff was so caring and kind. They understand what we are going thru and do their best to make us feel better about the situation that we are in. I would recommend this office to anybody. I started my journey with Dr. K years ago to help with starting our family. I was diagnosed with PCOS and was told by many physicians that I would never be able to become pregnant. Upon meeting Dr. K for the first time, she didn't believe "if" I could get pregnant, it was "when". We tried meds and eventually moved to IVF. I now have wonderful and amazing miracle twins thanks to the work by Dr. K and the rest of the staff. Everyone in the office is dedicated to helping you and the care is individualized. Dr. K and Team have been nothing short of amazing during such a sensitive, yet stressful time. My husband and I interviewed another fertility clinic prior to going with Dr. K and we are not sorry with our final decision. Dr. K individualizes each plan for each couple based on our unique needs and with our agreed upon input. Nothing is cookie cutter. I knew that despite all of the other patients, our attention was being met. I have spent, and continue to spend, a lot of time at the clinic, and I have seen the same friendly faces each time. From the techs, to the nurses, to the front desk, they all learn who you are. The worlds best office. I cried when I was getting transferred to back to the Obgyn. As happy as I was to be pregnant, I knew I would miss the girls so much. They are the most helpful and supportive group of people you could ever ask for during such a difficult time. Two kids with Dr Ks help!

They took the time to guide us through the options and offer their recommendations. Dr. K and her staff are professional and passionate. We felt they truly cared about helping us conceive. Throughout our experience with Dr. K, we felt aware of the steps and the process. They did a great job communicating, navigating, and preparing us for what to expect. I work in healthcare myself, and was told about this office from one of our mutual patients. I am so happy we chose this practice because they have made one of the hardest times of my life so much better. They really took the stress out of infertility and helped us put control back into the picture. I see Alexa and she was very kind and had a plan right away. Dr.K even called me to welcome us to the practice and go over the plan her and Alexa went over for us. Horrible experience. Doctor is never there. PA is never there. I'm not sure how this clinic operates without an actual physician. The front desk and nurses are rude. It feels like they're doing you a favor with every question they have to answer or call they have to make-when in reality you're spending thousands of dollars for those services. I was not comfortable with the nurses (or God knows who else) making decisions about my treatment since the doctor was literally never in the office.

Amazing experience . Everyone there was very warm and knowledgeable . I love Dr Kowalczyk and her team .

Very terrible experience. No nurses are capable of awnsering any questions and the doctor wont awnser them with out an appointment. Wasted time and money on two "trys" with poor results and no change in medication. Told quality over quanity.... and then more eggs more targets. This is a joke of a place AND YES THE ENTIRE STAFF AND DOCTOR HAS AN ATTITUDE!

This practice feels to me like it is all about money and not patient care. They preach it's all about a nurturing environment but Dr. Kowalczk won't even take the time to answer your questions without a separate appointment. The last procedure I had scheduled, after I scheduled they called and left me a voice message that there was no time after the procedure to answer questions, and that I would have to book an additional appointment to discuss questions and next steps, even though we already talked next steps twice. What kind of doctor won't answer your questions when you're in to see them. This would have been my 5th appointment with them and I've never felt so uncared for by a medical professional. She also reiterated to me EVERY single time that I was about to turn 40 which is really risky even though everything about my test results and body say I'm in great health and it felt like she was trying to scare me into IVF.. The first time my husband came in we had 2 interns in the room and they never asked if this was ok. We had to have some difficult situations with people we didn't want in the room and were offered no choice. I tried going there for 6 months and am bummed to have to start over, but can't fathom going back to a place who cares so little about the emotional and wholistic care of the patient. This practice feels to me like it is all about money and not patient care.
