My mother missed an appointment as she was in the hospital when she got home the receptionist called her to specifically yell at her and tell her she could not come in to see dr martinez any longer. . I called a couple weeks later to explain what happened and the office staff was both rude and nasty. A Dr. that employs such tactics and allows his staff to treat patients that way is not a good Dr. e is hiding his true self behind his staff . A true red flag . There are other Dr.'s in this field that wont treat you so poorly . Dr Martinez is a great. professional and kind man, I trust him. However, I recognize the back of staff due to lack of eye contact and minimal interaction more than the front. Follow up falls entirely on me. Entirely. No status phone calls, no inquiries as to why I have not gotten special blood work (lab only does test out-of-state and call to them was unreturned). Getting tested is easy but definitive answers are not. Be your own advocate when it comes to follow-up. Dr Martinez is a great. professional and kind man, I trust him. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Martinez’s for close to 4 years now and I wanted to go out of my way to write this review for him. I highly recommend him. He is very caring and treats you with respect. Many doctors that I’ve dealt with (and there have been many) don’t care to form a connection with their patients; they simply want you in and out the door. Dr. Martinez is NOT like that. He takes his time to discuss your situation and listen to your concerns. The same can be said about his RPA, Steve Hodkin, and the entire staff in the building. Steve is just as thorough with his discourse and treatment. The staff is very personable and positive and make you feel welcome. I never have any issues with paperwork either. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this practice!

I went to him for 2 yrs during that time he was doing the wait and see approach after I spent 2 yrs on orencia. He wouldn’t put me back on any meds to control my RA so was suffering with constant flares. His PA wanted to put me a med I had severe reaction to and I refused to take it. That was the final straw I left that practice and found a wonderful dr that actually listens to me.

Dr Martinez and Steve have been treating my family for over 10 years .He is knowledgeable in his field and is one of the kindness and most gentle Drs I have ever met .. and that goes for PA Steve as well. The staff are very polite .

Dr Martinez takes the time to really get to know his patients. He is very kind and caring and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing rheumatology care.

I have been a patient of Dr Martinez for 30 years and has helped me trough some very difficult times. He is always there for you and spends time going over all test results and never feel rushed.

Dr. Martinez is great. The problem is his receptionist desk. They gave the wrong fax number to my primary doctor which looks like on purpose and they wouldn't give me the fax correct fax number when I requested it 4 times on the phone. They then told me Dr. Martinez himself would call me after office hours and nobody called so it sounds to me like they think they are above the law and can get away with lies and mess with people's health Dr. Martinez is great. Wish there were even higher ratings. He is one of the very best. His office is friendly and you feel like a family.

I had Dr. Martinez as a primary since my 2 girls were babies. I am 83 and am still seeing him. I think that says a lot!

Takes care of my husband and daughter and he is amazing, as is his PA, Steve!! Don’t get rushed through but have never had a long wait. Really love them!!

Best Doctor ever!! Very kind, compassionate, thorough and gentle. He takes the time to listen to your history and ask targeted questions. After 48 years of joint pain I finally found a man who has my best interest in mind. So very pleased and wish I knew of him years ago. Highly recommend.

Dr. Martinez & Dr. Steve are two of the best doctors I've ever had. Dealing with RA & host of other medical problems has been very challenging. He takes his time and talks about EVERY issue from the beginning and wants to get to the bottom of your problem. If it wasnt weird to hug your doctor I probably would have.???????? He cares and that's the best part. I'm so happy my primary sent me to them and I'm so happy I waited to get into his practice. By far the most intelligent and caring doctor I've ever seen!!!! I went to Dr. Martinez for a second opinion for issues I've been suffering with. He spent a full hour with me going over everything!! I felt so safe and in good hands immediately.... He gave me so much information and finally got the answers I've been searching for, for months! I've never had a doctor who truly cared so much! The only unfortunate thing is he is booked up far but well worth the wait!! Thank you so much.....

Would give zero stars if at all possible! Stopped in on 4/26/18 at 8:35 am to see if I could get appointment as my Doctor had referred me here. I was in a lot of pain and asked if there was any possibility in seeing Doctor that day. The receptionist/front desk administrator literally laughed right to my face and said sarcastically "Doctor isn't taking new patient appointments until August". I immediately turned around and walked out. I knew my chances of getting a same day appointment were slim to none but when your in pain you try anything and I was hoping they could squeeze me in or had a cancellation etc.. Certainly don't expect or appreciate getting laughed at and talked down too. I will look for a rheumatologist elsewhere as apparently this office needs follow up training on how to treat people with respect. You know you who you are and you should be ashamed and embarrassed! It's rare these days to find a Dr that actually cares about his patients more than the money he gets for seeing them, but Dr Martinez is the real deal. I've been going to him for my Osteoporosis arthritis & Rheumatoid Arthritis and he is always there to help whenever I need him. I had a flare last weekend so I called his answering service @ 10:00 pm and DE Martinez called me back that nite and helped me get through the nite. He saw & treated me the next day. He is the best Dr I've ever had

Dr Martinez is the best doctor I ever had. He listens to all your problems, then answers them. He even apologized for being late one day. I think it was about 15 minutes late. That'd be the day my other doctors would apologize, and their usually an hour late if not more! I told him I wish he could be my doctor for everything!??

Amazing - kind, competent and caring! I was so worried and in so much pain. I went to doctors here in Western NY and even in NYC. Only Dr.Martinez really listened and helped me. I am well now (thanks to his guidance and recommendations) and am so thankful for his being here.

He is a very caring, compassionate Doctor who tries to meet all your needs, some of us have larger arthritus issues like myself, he still can't get meds correct because my case is such a difficult one, it's very frustrating for both he and myself that we can't get my RA under some kind of control.
