She treated me very well. I was seriously injured and she helped me heal. Very nice lady who cares a lot.
Let's just say if you want a snobby superficial doctor this is your lady. I got a referral to see Dr. Carla Carvalho for my hernia. In our visit she was very condescending towards me. Primary because I am overweight and have medi-cal. She didn't even inquire further into why? She just pretty said I was fat and need to lose weight in order for her to fix me. At the time I was suffering from extreme depression, not to mention I have a hypothyroid condition and hypertension. Carla didn't even take the time to address those issues or suggest what I could do in the meantime to help with pain and from keeping the hernia from getting bigger. I left that appointment very upset. Now my hernia is twice the size and is causing other medical conditions & pain. This woman is in a position in our community where she make positive influences to better peoples quality of life. Even if it is just a simple CARING conversation to get them to complete their health care goals.
