Dr. Bryan Monty Weckel

I move every few years for work so I have had quite a few primary care doctors and Dr. Weckel and his staff are the best I've encountered. I don't feel like a check list or a number here. From taking the time to explain each test and why he's recommending them to giving detailed directions to get a test done. Results come back and are communicated quickly. He's easy to talk to (I don't even need the disclaimer of for a doctor, he's just easy to talk to). Making a sick appointment is easy and I've never had to wait more than a day (often same day). In-office blood draws so I don't have to go wait somewhere else is an added bonus. No hospital admitting privileges and don't be fooled by the caring, attentive look. Just don't get sick.

I've been going to Dr. Weckel for almost 20-years. The fact that it has been that long speaks volumes about the care I receive. His staff is kind and when I've been in dire straits, they have been accommodating to see me instantly.

I was very disappointed to see that Dr. Weckel’s staff (receptionist and nurse) are NOT wearing face masks or gloves when dealing with patients during the pandemic. His nurse, Yanni, who takes patients bloodwork refused to put on a mask after being asked by an elderly patient. The nurse responded by laughing while chewing and smacking her gum with an open mouth while spit flew out of her mouth. This is especially concerning since there are rising cases of Covid 19 in our area. When this was brought to Dr. Weckel’s attention, he responded by asking the elderly patient if she would rather go to the hospital to have her blood drawn. I believe all medical facilities should be required to wear masks and gloves during this time out if respect for their patients - especially the vulnerable ones. I would not recommend this medical office to anyone wanting a clean, respectful and professional facility.

Dr Weckel is one of the best. He and his staff are very caring and professional. I moved to Wilmington and have no issues with driving to Burgaw to see him. Dr Weckel has keep me going during some very bad times. I have nothing but total respect for him and his staff. I consider myself blessed to have met them all. Today was our first visit and it was absolutely amazing! Best doctor and staff I’ve ever experienced.

Dr Weckel is one of the best physians my family has seen! He cared for me, my husband, and grandson. Very thorough, very compassionate, very Knowledgeable!!!!

Bryan Weckel is a real professional when it comes to serving patients. He is really engaging and takes real interest in what’s going on with you. Very friendly and very knowledgeable.

I have been going to Dr. Weckel for about 10 years now for me and my children. What an amazing doctors office. Staff are awesome and Dr. Weckel is always patient, listens, asks questions and has always taken really good care of me and my family!!

I've not used Dr. Weckel as my primary care physician until recently, I've used him as my "quick" care physician for years. Recently decided to move my primary care to Dr. Weckel as I've always been treated with respect, he's always explained his diagnosis in layman terms, he takes time to make an accurate diagnosis, and he's local to my needs.
